This May Hydee &
Chris took a weekend trip to that great
Metropolis, NEW YORK. It was both business &
pleasure. The kiddies spent the weekend with
Grandma & Grandpa. Hydee traded in her
flight miles and we flew 'business class'. If
you are taking a trip across country, it's the
only way to fly. Once on the ground C&H
checked into the hotel, or as Chris likes to
call it... "the not one single square angle
anywhere the shower is too cold I can hear the
couple next door snore who left the condoms
under the dresser there's no remote for the TV
and look at this carpet!" hotel.
Needless to say we only spent
one night there... If Chris could've, he would
have floated over the bed to sleep. It had that
homey lived-in feeling...
Chris even saved an 90-year
old lady in the middle of a Times Square
intersection. If you've been to NY you know how crazy
they drive there, and the car horns honk
constantly. This nice little old lady was stuck
in the cross walk as the light turned green,
cars were honking at her, she was waving her
arms and beginning to panic as trucks whizzed
past, so Chris leaped out into the middle of
oncoming traffic and pulled the lady to the
curb. She refused to let go of Chris' hand and
kept repeating "You're coming home with
me" It was sad to see that no one
else closer thought to "save her"... but
that's Chris.
All in all the trip was a
great success and a much needed 3 days to be
just Hydee & Chris. We missed the kids every
minute. We even calculated that we walked the
width of Manhattan at least 3 times...
