Fairport Lodge No. 476
Greetings Brethren,
Third Degree
On December 10th, the Shrine Degree team will be performing the Third degree for our new Brothers and Lodge. They typically bring 20 to 25 brothers to put on the degree -- it will be impressive. Preceding the degree, we will be treated to one of Worshipful Brother Tom Goodrichs famous steak dinners (Price: $5:00). On December 10th, we will open lodge at 6:00 PM. The dinner will begin at 6:30 PM. The degree work will begin promptly at 7:30 PM, and we will conduct a brief business meeting following the degree. For dinner reservations, please contact either the Junior Warden, Worshipful Brother Tom Goodrich, 383-1429, e-mail: tgg13@yahoo.com, or Worshipful Master Mike Morris, 223-2828, e-mail: morrisGM@corning.com for reservations. Please make an extra effort to come and support our newly raised brothers. Hope to see you there!
Consolidation with Flower City Lodge, No. 910
On November 26th, we held the first of two Summoned Meetings that are required to complete the consolidation of our Lodge with Flower City Lodge, No. 910. At the first Summoned Meeting we voted to authorize and empower members of our Lodge to negotiate the consolidation with representatives of Flower City Lodge, No. 910. Our representatives in these negotiations, include: Brother Brian Bills (Treasurer), W:. George Bracht (Secretary), W:. Mike Morris (Worshipful Master), Brother Kermit Moyer (Senior Warden), W:. Tommie Richenderfer (Trustee). If you have any questions, suggestions, comments or concerns regarding the consolidation process, please feel free to contact any of our representatives.
The second Summoned Meeting is needed to ratify the Agreement of Consolidation. The second meeting will be held on January 28, 2002 at 7:30 PM. [Note that you will receive formal notice for the Summoned Meeting by first-class mail.]
Ratification, adoption and approval of the Agreement of Consolidation requires an affirmative vote of two-thirds of the members present and voting at the Summoned Meeting. My Brothers, I encourage you make every effort to attend and participate in this important and truly historic meeting of our Lodge.
Christimas Poinsettias
To help bring a little more cheer to the Christmas holidays we will be visiting and delivering poinsettia plants to our widows and shut-ins. Our Secretary, W:. George Bracht, is currently putting together the list. The plan is to assemble at the Lodge at 10 AM on Saturday, December 15th at the Lodge. (Coffee and Krispy Kream donuts are on me!). We will then divide up into groups of two or three and deliver the plants. It will be good fellowship and a lot of fun! I can assure you that the plants and thought will be well received and greatly appreciated. If you are able to help with the Poinsettia deliveries this year, please give me a call or send me an e-mail. Hope to see you there.
My Brothers, I wish you and your family a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May 2002 brings you good health, happiness and prosperity.
Finally, as always, if you have any questions, suggestions or comments, or know of a Brother in need of our aid or sympathy, please let me know [phone: (716) 223-2828; e-mail: morrisGM@corning.com]. See you in Lodge!
