Welcome New Board Members
We are pleased to announce that all open Board seats have now been filled. We welcome Jeff Eskridge and Carla Lucchino to the Board. They will be valuable additions and we thank them for their commitment to their community.

Arrests Made in Recent Incidents
On Tuesday, June 20, Michael Andrew Viveiros of 9107 Ashland Woods Lane in Lorton was arrested on four counts of indecent liberties with a minor. The four charges stem from two incidents of indecent exposure. The first incident occurred on December 27, 2005 on Larne Lane. The second incident occurred in our community on June 11 on Seafarer Way.

Also, a man was arrested for trespassing at the gazebo in July. His court date is in October.

Thanks to your neighbors, the police were able to make these arrests. If you witness any suspicious activity, please call the police immediately. We will provide updates on these cases in future newsletters. If you would like to be added to neighborhood watch email list for more frequent updates, contact Bob Mills at Rmills26@cox.net

Architecture Review
Thank you to those residents who addressed issues from the May walkthrough. Hearings for remaining homeowner violations will be conducted in September and October. Homeowners in violation will receive a letter with their hearing date within the next couple of weeks. If you receive a letter and have questions, please contact Tri-State Management/Koger at 571-432-5408.

Improving Mason's Passage
Projects to improve our community that have been completed this quarter:
- Addition of new chips in the tot lots - Tot lot gate fixed (on green)
- Removal of dead/ damaged trees in woodedd area behind Lorraine Carol
- Additional stop sign at Cranford Farm appproved (should be installed soon)
- Ordered new Trash cans for Seafarer Way (for the common trash area at the end of the road)

If you see common areas in need of repair or cleanup (or if trash is not being emptied at the gazebo or tot lot), please contact Tri-State Management/Koger at 571-432-5408. You may also contact the Board directly at masonspassagehoa@yahoo.com.

Fire Lane Signs
In an effort to beautify our neighborhood we have removed the red and white fire lane signs that were posted throughout the neighborhood. By order of the Fire Marshall's office each homeowner was also mailed a letter reminding them that there is no parking in the fire lanes, and that includes cars hanging out partially into the fire lanes.

Pooper Scooper Reminder
We have received reports that someone in the neighborhood has been depositing pet waste near one of the drainage areas in our community. This is both unsanitary and illegal. Fairfax County requires that homeowners clean up behind their pets. If you see anyone depositing waste in this manner, please notify Tri-State Management/Koger and/or Animal Control.

Unwanted Solicitations Mason's Passage has "No Solicitation" signs posted in our community. If someone comes to your home with a solicitation, you should remind them that this community is posted with no solicitation signs and request they leave. You should also point out that once they have been asked to leave the property, according to Fairfax County law, if they do not leave the community immediately you can call the police and have them arrested.
