Results of the March Community Meeting

On March 23, 2004, Mason's Passage HOA members voted to increase dues to $192 per quarter. The attached invoice reflects this increase.

The first priority of this increase is for the HOA to get out of debt. As we have detailed previously, the amounts the developer recommended were insufficient to keep our community properly maintained. As a result of this dues increase, the HOA is on the right track to financial health.

The other goal of the increase is to start a fund for capital improvement projects for our community. Obviously, lighting for the community is a top priority for many of our residents. At the Board Meeting this month we discussed how we might take a phased approach to adding lights as the collection of dues begins to build up this fund. We also directed our management company to begin researching the options available including initial and ongoing costs, and lighting hardware styles.

If any homeowner would like to volunteer his/her time to the capital improvement projects, please contact Bill Booze at Tri-State Management/Koger at 571-432-5408.

Change in Board of Directors

John Fiorenza, President of the HOA Board, has resigned. Barry Simmons, current Vice President, will serve as the acting President until the fall annual meeting. Tammy Grunkemeyer has taken on the interim role of Member at Large.

Annual HOA Meeting Approaching

In just a few months, the community will meet for the annual meeting. Please watch your mail for details and be sure to mark your schedule. There are three open Board of Director positions that need to be voted on by the community.

Registration of Vehicles

There are still several homeowners who have not registered vehicles. If you have a vehicle that needs to be registered, or if you have questions about the parking stickers or regulations, please contact Tri-State Management/Koger at 571-432-5408.

On behalf of the Board of Directors, have a wonderful Summer!
