Rules

Badminton games will be played under IBF rules.
Before each match starts, a 3-minute warm up is allowed.
Each team captain must submit his or her team players "ranks" to Tom Yang (email: showjean@verizon.net) based on the captain's best knowledge with their team roster.
One Team Meet consists of 4 MD, 2XD and 1WD matches. Orders of the strength of 4 MD or 2XD matches are: MD#1, MD#2, MD#3, MD#4 or XD#1, XD#2. The order of the players is decided in accordance with addition of two players' individual rankings. In other word, the lineup must follow the "ranks".
Each team Captain must fill in the names of their players on the score sheet. Captains then exchange score sheets at the same time, in person, and fill the names on the opponents' score sheet.
Both team captains should make sure all the related players' waivers have been signed and collected. The captains should send the original copy of those waivers to league organizer.
All matches shall be best of 3 games to 21 points. New Rally score system.
10 minutes grace is allowed before a match is declared a default. DEFAULT should be written next to the name of player and signed by the captain.
Both team captains must sign the score sheet and the winning team captain must report the result to Tom Yang (email: showjean@verizon.net) after the match
For each Team Meet: Each player can only play up to two matches per Team Meet with no same pair playing twice.
FORMAT AND ORDER OF PLAY: (a total of seven matches) actual play sequence is not important. It can be decided by both captains in order to make a smooth operation and save court time.
The host club must have at least 3 courts available for at least 10 hours.
The MassBad and host clubs are responsible for the shuttles. Detail to be determined.
Players shall keep their own score. However, if any disagreement regarding compliance with IBF rules arises, players may request for a neutral official (umpire, linesperson(s) or service judge) to assist in the compliance.
The team that beats the most teams will be the winner in each group. In the event of a tie in any group, the team that has the highest won match percentage will be the winner . Then if it is still tied, the team that has the highest won game percentage will be the winner. Runner up will be determined using the same method. Won Percentage = Won / (Lost + Won).
All disputes and complains should be made to Tom Yang (email: showjean@verizon.net) as soon as possible.

Prizes

The first place team at the end of the season, possibly determined by playoffs of different groups if the League consists of more than one group, will be awarded a perpetual trophy engraved with their team name. The team will hold the trophy until the end of the next season at which point it will surrender it to the next season's winner.
