Reflexology is a growing career that can be practiced full or part time. Reflexology may be practiced as a sole business or used to enhance other careers such as Nail Technology, Nursing, Hospice Care, Psychology, Hypnotherapy, Reiki/Energy Balancing, Massage Therapy, Podiatry, or Chiropractic. The possibilities are endless!

Your Instructor

As a dedicated Massage Therapist and Master Reflexologist, Michael McAleese's vision is to share his gift of healing with others. From his early years, Michael always felt a need to help others. After attending North Central Bible College in 1977, Michael worked with troubled teenagers, street gangs and homeless youth. In 1992, Michael's calling led him to pursue a career as a Certified Massage Therapist and Reflexologist. He opened the Holistic Massage and Reflexology Center along with his wife Star, in 1993 in an effort to offer the benefits of alternative health care to those in need. He is certified in Therapeutic Massage, Sports Massage, Reflexology Cranio Sacral Therapy and Holistic Spa Treatments. During his career Michael taught Massage Therapy and Reflexology, and served as student outreach coordinator for a local Massage School. He has also taught Spa Reflexology for a well known Nail Technology School in the area. Philosophy & Objectives The Holistic Massage and Reflexology Center is dedicated to teaching *Holistic Reflexology by utilizing natural techniques that allow the body to heal itself. The school offers affordable training in the growing field of Reflexology and may be utilized to enhance careers in Nail Technology, Nursing, Hospice Care, Psychology and other alternative health care fields. *Holistic: Natural approach, without drugs, including good diet, regular exercise and stress reduction.

Massage Therapy Course Description

This is a 650 hour Course in Massage Therapy.

Objectives:

Learn hands-on Massage techniques. History of Massage, Anatomy and physiology, benefits and contraindications. Development/understanding of physical, mental and spiritual healing (body/mind connection).

Homework:

15 hours per week- to practice Massage techniques on other individuals.

Hours Instruction: 650

Outside practice: 15 hours per week
Class Meets on: Thursday 6-10pm

Reflexology Course Description

This is a 90 hour Course in Reflexology. In this class you will learn anatomy and physiology of the foot, leg, and body systems. You will discuss theory and the history of reflexology as well as have hands-on practice of holistic Reflexology techniques. Upon completion of this course you will receive a Reflexology Certificate from the Holistic Massage & Reflexology Center.

6 hours per week- to practice Reflexology techniques on other individuals.
