Nazi Death Camp

Prologue: During WWII, Nazi Concentration Camps held
thousands of prisoners who were subjected to horrendous medical experiments.
One such experiment performed for years on prisoners was to create a virus that
would infect the brain causing severe damage to the central nervous system
leading to the total collapse of all bodily functions within days after
infection. Early stages of what came to be known as "The Process"
proved invaluable to Nazi doctors. The virus derived from chemicals of the
brain thought responsible for muscle control were at first injected into
prisoners often resulting in immediate death. Some prisoners lived with the
virus for up to 12 hours, all the while vomiting violently and writhing in
pain. Most symptoms displayed by prisoners were mental cases where loss of
sanity was the result. Prior to death, some subjects would literally begin to
rip at their own skin, tearing off layers as if attempting to peel themselves.
Some pulled out their hair while others even bit out their finger nails
entirely. More or less, prisoners subjected to The Process died within hours,
giving little time for the virus to spread throughout their system. These first
stages of The Process were determined to be a failure as any survivors were
left near catatonic. However, the state these surviving prisoners were left in
showed promise as a construct for the perfect slave. Since some resistance had
begun to surface from POW's and other prisoners at the camp, The Process was found
to be an allocating agent in the removal of undesirables from influencing
fellow prisoners. Of course, The Process was implemented too soon for the
doctors involved to realize the full scope of what they were doing to the
prisoners, let alone the end result.
CHAPTER
1
Entrance to Auschwitz where a chain gang of
prisoners are being lead out to work detail while simultaneously a group of
captured allied soldiers are being brought inside. Both a prisoner and a POW
make eye contact, acknowledging each others presence suggesting they know each
other. An armed SS soldier bursts through a door to a stairwell. He soars
frantically up the stairs tripping over himself. Screams of anguish can be
heard in the distance echoed by massive gun fire. Reaching his intended floor,
the soldier runs passed several armed officers heading toward the stairs.
Through a maze of hallways a door comes into sight with a sign that reads
"Restricted" adorned with medical symbols. The soldier storms inside
finding his General, along with other High Ranking officers and scientists.
SOLDIER
General, the
prisoners are rioting and…
GENERAL
Don’t you
think I see that fool! There are windows, I have eyes, and I all see is my men
failing to squash mere pests.
SOLDIER
They outnumber
us General, quite largely. Ground troops await new orders.
GENERAL
The order
stands as is. Shoot to kill any and all resisters.
SOLDIER
But they’re
already dead sir.
Nazi
soldiers fight tirelessly to regain control of the camp. Rapid bursts of ammo
tear at the bodies of both clothed and naked prisoners. The bullets have little
or no effect against the rioters. The scene is a bloody mess. More soldiers
arrive to find all hell has broken loose.
SOLDIER 1
What is going
on here? Why aren’t they falling?
SOLDIER 2
I don’t know
just keep shooting!
SOLDIER 3
Looks like the
end to me, the end of it all.
Orders
come through loud speakers:
"Shoot to
Kill any Rioters and Resisters"
Two
Nazi soldiers gaze out into the distance from high up in tower. They cannot yet
see any wave of rioters. All they see is Ground Troops being diverted out of
their area towards far off sectors of the camp. A small band of Nazis locate an
equally small group of prisoners on a far end of the camp. The prisoners appear
to be in a daze, as if hypnotized. The soldiers surround the prisoners with
rifles armed and ready.
SOLDIERS
Drop! Drop
Now! All of you! Drop to the ground or die where you stand! You have till the
count of three, one…
The prisoners, who appear to be of the more
famished and sickly, do not drop. The demand to DROP is commanded once again,
though the prisoners do not respond. They can only seem to gaze with empty eyes
at the Nazis. After a quick glance at each other, the soldiers fire shots into
the chests of the bewildered prisoners at point blank range. Surprisingly, the
prisoners do not fall. In fact, the explosion of their chests into bloody mush
has only served to enrage them. The prisoners now strike out at the soldiers
biting and scratching, still unaffected by the barrage of bullets filling their
bodies. Narrowly escaping with their lives, the soldiers run back to their
vehicle to report on what they have witnessed. As they flee the scene, they
pass a lone Nazi walking towards the children’s section of the block. Carrying a
loaf of bread, he rips off a piece to chomp on. Once the fleeing Nazis are out
of sight, the lone soldier looks around to make sure no one sees him. He creeps
up to the barracks and calls for the attention of the children locked inside.
The children approach him without fear. The Nazi tears several pieces of bread
from the loaf hands them out. He goes around to several barracks and does the
same for all the children around.
CHILD 1
What is all
the shooting? Is it time to be a traitor?
TRAITOR
Yes my friend.
Remember not to look out of the barracks. Don’t let the others either, no
matter what you hear.
The
Nazi traitor looks to his side where the children cannot see out of their
barracks. The small group of prisoners the other Nazis just shot come creeping
around the corner. They lock eyes on the traitor but see him giving the
children bread, then turn and walk off. On the opposite side of the camp,
executions are underway. Men, women and children are being lined up for their
turn in the gas chambers. Alongside the lines are SS officers pointing out
certain women. It is believed that some women aided in the formation of the
prisoner rebellion. A few specific Gypsy women are singled out as well as some
of their children. Those left in line look to the women with a sympathetic
gaze. Those selected appear strong, unaware of what they are about to face.
OFFICER 1
Tell me woman,
what do you know of the uprising?
GYPSY 1
Nothing, I
know nothing. Nothing at all.
OFFICER 2
What about
you?
GYPSY 2
Nothing! We know
nothing. None of us, I swear it.
OFFICER 1
We shall see.
OFFICER 2
Liars! Just
like the others. Take them in and make sure they know nothing. Let us see what
their children’s lives mean to them.
The
few Gypsy women and their children are taken from sight. The lines begin to
move now as more prisoners are brought into line. The sound of gunfire can be
heard in the distance. The scene depicts the prisoners being shot dead in line
and bodies being drug away thru the dirt. Prisoners scream in fright at the
sight of their family members being killed in front of them.
PRISONER 1
What do you
think all the shooting is about? Have the allies arrived?
PRISONER 2
It seems a
rebellion has begun. That’s why those women were taken from line.
PRISONER 1
What of the
old woman and the children? Surely they know nothing of any uprising.
PRISONER 2
I myself know
nothing. Although I heard she was seen speaking with a Soviet.
PRISONER 1
A POW?
PRISONER 2
I don’t know,
I just heard.
PRISONER 1
Not that it
matters much for us now.
The
smoke and ash from out the chimneys of crematoriums can be seen from all around
the camp. Ashes fall to the ground almost as if snowing. The recently
imprisoned POW’s are being lead to their confines. They look up into the sky
and discuss what they see.
POW 1
What is all of
this falling out of the sky?
POW 2
Haven’t you
heard? They cremate prisoners here. That is the ashes of burnt bodies. They are
probably making room for new arrivals.
POW 1
What new
arrivals? You mean us? I thought they didn’t kill
POW’s?
POW 2
Not new to the
camp, the newly dead from the gas chambers and firing lines.
POW 1
My God.
POW 2
Be ready fool.
Suddenly
their Nazi captors are jumped by some other POW’s already at camp. Fighting
breaks out between captured POW’s and Nazis. The Nazi’s shoot, injure and kill
some POW’s though they are overcome by their captives. After freeing their
fellow allies, they all scramble for a place to hide.
Over
load speakers can be heard: that
“All available
troops report to main section blocks now!”
Almost
instantly, several lines of Nazi soldiers rush past the chain gang of prisoners
being lead to work detail at Birkenau. Once out of site, the chain gang all at
once attacks their Nazi captors and beat them down and out.
WORKER 1
We did it, it’s
happening. It’s all really happening.
WORKER 2
We must hurry;
it won’t be long before more soldiers are passed here.
WORKER 3
Everyone spilt
into your teams. Those of you going back to
The
workers split up and head off in 2 separate directions. As the one group of
workers arrive back at camp, they find that many prisoners have escaped their
barracks and were wondering the blocks which are oddly empty of Nazi soldiers.
The scene depicts a ghost town environment where the prisoners walking about
appear dazed and confused, clothes tattered or missing entirely. It is absolute
havoc at HQ. High Command Officers are outraged at the news from camp while
dually concerned with how to handle the situation.
HQ SOLDIER
Sir, riots are
spreading and there are reports of casualties.
GENERAL
Casualties?
How can that be? How did we manage to lose men to unarmed prisoners?
HQ SOLDIER
Reports say
that some prisoners won’t fall when shot, even if gutted by gunfire or limbless
from grenade attack. Some how they manage to keep advancing.
GENERAL
What insanity
is this? Dead men don’t walk or crawl, let alone riot.
HQ SOLDIER
It is what is
being reported sir.
NAZI DOCTOR
Don’t be so
sure of everything General.
The
General looks at the Doctor with disdain. The scene from out the window is
unchanged. Nazi soldiers shuffle their advances as the number of rioters
increase. Several prisoners have managed to take up the rifles of soldiers
killed in the riots. The bodies of which have succumb to an almost
indescribable massacre. Limbless bodies and scattered human remnants adorn the
ground. Even from high atop the guard towers, there are reports of soldiers
seen to be disemboweled by their attackers.
HQ SOLDIER
Tower 3 -
Report!
TOWER 3
It’s a
bloodbath out here. Casualties increase. Artillery is ineffective. We are
running out of ammo. Need more ammo. Repeat – Need more ammo! Now!
HQ OFFICER
All available
troops get more ammunition to the guard towers! Now!
GENERAL
What are your
thoughts on the situation doctors? Is this the result of what you have been
doing here?
DOCTOR 1
The specifics
of our work here are classified General, even from you. Although I can tell you
that what we are witnessing here today certainly peaks our interest.
GENERAL
Is there
anything useful you can suggest without breaking protocol? Do you have any
explanation as to how it is that legless, gutless bodies continue to move as if
alive but by all accounts should be dead?
DOCTOR 1
Oh but they
are dead General. Or do you not believe the reports, let alone your own eyes?
GENERAL
Insanity!
That’s absolute insanity!
DOCTOR 2
Insanity –
yes. But it is the reality we are facing here.
GENERAL
Yes, a reality
that your work here has made. Tell me, what good is your science if it can’t
offer solutions to the problems it creates? Or is the reality here that your
work has failed miserably.
DOCTOR 3
How dare you
assume to know anything about our progress here. Do not underestimate our pull
with your superiors General. I notice you have as of yet to inform them of your
failure to contain the chaos here.
GENERAL
Useless fools
- as useless as all of science. Now that II know you are of no help, I can
commit to a solution of my own.
The
Scientists at the camp know full well what is happening with the prisoners.
Aside from the resisters and their rebellion, there are a slew of decrepit,
decaying prisoners who are obviously former subjects of The Process. Scaring on
the head from the invasive surgeries performed still show. As well as evidence
of scratching and bite marks are clear on their flesh, even from a distance.
Notably, no other prisoners in the rebellion show such scaring or evidence of
having died some time ago. However, the reality is that long dead test subjects
have returned to life and cannot be killed.
DOCTOR 1
Some things
aren’t making sense out there.
DOCTOR 2
Just some
things you say?
In
the laboratory, the three scientists are studying the cadavers of more recent
subjects in The Process. Two of the cadavers have been autopsied and remain on
tables with their organs on plates beside them. One Doctor is examining the
brain of a third cadaver, which is hooked up by electrodes to a series of devices.
The brain, although outside of the subjects skull is still connected with the
spinal column. Adjustments to the surrounding devices are able to control
movement in the eyes, mouth and hands of the cadaver.
DOCTOR 3
What are you
thinking?
DOCTOR 1
The brain is
the key? Agreed?
DOCTOR 2
I Agree.
DOCTOR 3
Of course, it
always has been. Only the brain drives the body.
DOCTOR 1
There must be
residual chemicals in the brain after death as a result of the surgeries.
Somehow they must supply slight activity to the body after death. So destroy
the brain, the body should follow suit.
DOCTOR 2
We cannot
simply theorize here. Given the present situation we must test this in order to
comply with protocol.
DOCTOR 3
That is
impossible without a re-animated body to examine.
DOCTOR 1
Well given the
present situation, I think we are in short supply of test subjects. We’ll
simply have the soldiers do the work for us.
Throughout
the camp, secured prisoners are being led into line as the rate of
exterminations increase. Beside the gas chambers, prisoners are now being shot
dead and bodies piled in stacks. Still others are being hung while many are
just beaten to a bloody pulp. It is near impossible to know if the prisoners
now being killed were ever used for testing during more recent and refined
stages of The Process. In any area of the camp still under control by the
Nazis, prisoners are made to collect dead bodies for transport to the grave
sites.
COLLECTOR 1
Do you hear
that?
COLLECTOR 2
You mean the
gunfire and screaming?
COLLECTOR 1
No not the
sound of riots. Something right here, real close, but faint. Sounds like
moaning, as if someone is in pain.
COLLECTOR 2
In my mind I
am anguished, but I know it doesn’t compare with those in line to be gassed.
COLLECTOR 1
I know what
you mean, but that’s not what I’m talking about. I swear I hear something, very
faintly. I think it is coming from the body piles. As if they are suffering.
COLLECTOR 2
Don’t talk
crazy. The dead don’t suffer, not like we do.
Close
up on body piles. Faces of the dead appear as if suffering. A look all too
familiar to those prisoners still secure in the camp. Perhaps these dead appear
to suffer because they have unfinished business with their Nazi captors.
Business they could not complete in life, but cannot leave for the living to
finish for them. Perhaps these dead need vengeance to end their suffering.
Still close up on the body piles shows a brief display of movement. In a secure
area of the lab, the Gypsy women singled out of line and their children are
brought to the General for interrogation. In the room there are several SS
Officers awaiting the Gypsies arrival. The oldest of the women is tied to a
chair in the center of the room. The other women are gagged, stripped and bound
while their children are placed on medical tables. The General is prepared to
solve the crisis at camp with what brutal force he deems necessary.
GENERAL
Now old woman,
before I ask you what you know of the riots I must warn you – any answer you
give that I find unsatisfactory will result in torture for your daughters and
their children.
OLD GYPSY
Please, I beg
of you. Torture me. It is me that you want. They know nothing.
GENERAL
So you admit
that you know something. Then tell me what you know. Who is responsible for the
uprising? Who did you aid in its organization and how did you do it?
OLD GYPSY
I aided no
one, I swear it!
GENERAL
Liar!
The
General turns to the officers and nods. Without hesitation the officers begin
to whip the women violently. The whips tear open the skin and the women, whose
screaming is scarcely muffled by their gags. The children begin to cry out in
terror but are quickly gagged by the officers. The General orders the officers
to stop.
GENERAL
Shut up! All
of you! Shut the up! Now!
GENERAL
I am waiting
for an answer from you old bitch!
OLD GYPSY
I know no more
than you have seen for yourself.
GENERAL
Liar!
The
General nods at the officers again and they begin to whip the women again. The
blood spray crosses their children’s faces and the old woman begins to scream
and cry. The General removes the gags from the women’s mouths so their screams
of anguish can be heard even louder. The children scream through their gags,
but their mothers scream for them to stop.
GENERAL
Hear their screams
old woman! Your silence is what tortures them,
The
women cry out to the old woman to say nothing. The crying children grow louder,
knowing that the General’s threats are not empty. The old woman wants
desperately to save these women and their children from more torture, though
the women continue to beg her to say nothing.
OLD GYPSY
I swear it! I
know nothing!
GENERAL
You heartless
bitch! Perhaps you know nothing, but I am not convinced.
The
General knows some of what the old woman speaks. He has seen for himself what
is going in the camp with the seemingly dead prisoners. Still he finds it
utterly impossible for her to know anything about it. What was meant by what
she said? Could there be a curse of some kind, one keeping the dead alive? That
would explain why the doctors failed to offer any answers. They could not
possibly know what the General has inadvertently learned from the old woman.
Now he must call them in to hear for themselves what the woman has to say.
Little does the General know that the scientists have theories of their own.
Yet the science behind their theories still must be put to the test.
NAZI OFFICER
Orders are in
gentlemen! Shoot the rebels in the head! A bullet in the brain is sure to stop
them. Shoot them in the head!
SOLDIERS
YES SIR!
The
tower guards relay these orders to all areas of camp. Now comes the time for
the Nazis to show what they are made of in the face of such uncertainty.
SOLDIER 1
Listen up men!
Orders are in to aim for their heads! A bullet to the brain or a severe whack
to the fucking head is sure to bring these fuckers down! Massive head trauma is
all that’s going to kill these freaks. We’ll move in, close on them and fire at
point blank range.
SOLDIER 2
I’ve seen
those fucks take a bullet to the head, it don’t do shit. I mean look at them –
you can’t kill what’s already dead.
SOLDIER 3
What’s already
dead?
SOLDIER 2
Them! The ones
the bullets don’t kill. They are dead! Walking corpses – those are corpses
walking around. Look at them for Reich’s sake!
SOLDIER 1
Look, tower
guards report that these are our orders. We have no choice but to follow them
to the tee. We gave up any voice for choice when we enlisted. So just shut your
mouth and do your job.
Methods
for attack are quickly mapped out and soldiers are routed to all sectors where
rioters have infiltrated. Getting within range to shoot the dead in the head won't
be difficult. They are relatively slow to react to the presence of the living
around them. The full scale riots continue to grow. Nazi soldiers are deployed
fully armed and are aiming for heads. Immediately met by an onslaught of
rebels, the Nazis open fire and engage them in full force. Now is the
opportunity to test the doctor’s theory for killing the dead. It is easy for
the Nazis to single out groups of the naked, rotting, slow paced bodies amongst
the bands of rebels firing back at them.
NAZI OFFICER
Men! Move in
and destroy those freaks! Remember to aim for the head!
The
move is made and several soldiers approach a group of rioters. Almost as if
unaware of their presence, the dead merely gaze at the Nazis who soon open fire
on them. Direct hits show a mess of skull fragment and brain matter blown out
the back of their heads. The dead are stopped in their tracks, but they do not
fall. Stopped for a mere instant, the soldiers momentarily halt their fire only
to realize - that tactic does nothing. The eyes of the dead become red with
rage and they advance on the Nazis now with a renewed sense of fury. Attacking
the soldiers so swiftly that more gunfire ceases to even slow them as it had
before. The dead attack the soldiers, ripping at their skin and biting through
their flesh as if starved animals being thrown fresh meat. The results the
doctors had intended have now backfired. Unfortunately, all over the camp,
soldiers are aiming for the heads of the dead, only to discover the same
results of such a maneuver. The theory now shattered, only proving to agitate
the dead into a heightened feeding frenzy.
NAZI OFFICER
Tower 3 –
Shots to the head ineffective! Dead still attacking! Casualties mount! Rebels
armed and gaining advantage!
Tower
Guards see what is happening below them while receiving message on radio:
“We are losing
control! Await new orders! Repeat – await new orders!”
TOWER 3
Move to
security! Don’t make targets of yourself, fall back! Fall back!
CHAPTER
2
The
traitorous Nazi soldier in charge of the children’s block receives orders to
begin leading barracks full of boys and girls into line for the firing squads.
Actually being exactly the opportunity he’d been waiting for. With so many
Nazi’s off routine patrols to aid against the rebels, the traitor began to
gather the children together and take them out to empty areas of camp
unnoticed.
TRAITOR
Come on now,
all of you. It is time, we must hurry.
LITTLE BOY
Where are you
taking us? Really home, or really off to be gassed and shot?
TRAITOR
Please, there
is no time for this. I have to gather more of you. Come now or stay if you
like, but without me you won’t get too far.
The
boys look to each other, none older than 9 or 10 have little choice but to go
where this Nazi soldier directs them. It doesn’t take too long before the
traitor moves out of the block with a mass mob of young girls and boys.
LITTLE GIRL
The Soviet
told us this is the end. Does he mean we are going to die?
TRAITOR
I don’t know
for sure what he meant. I am telling you though that I will do my best to keep
you from harm.
LITTLE BOY
Why do you
help us? You will be in as much trouble as we will be in. They will kill you
too you know, for helping us if we get caught.
TRAITOR
It’s not
living or dying that’s my concern at the moment. It’s who is doing the killing.
Suddenly
from around a corner appear several obvious corpses who lock eyes with the
Nazi. The children scream at what they see. The corpses pause and stare deeply
into the Nazi’s eyes. The children so scared they don’t even move. The Little
Girl reaches out and grabs the traitor by the arm as if to shield herself from
the corpses. The corpses see that happen and they look to the Nazi again
briefly then turn away and walk out of the scene.
LITTLE BOY
Those people
are rotting. They’re rotting away.
TRAITOR
Always look
away from them. Just don’t be scared, they won’t hurt you. They would have just
now if they wanted to.
LITTLE GIRL
What do they
want?
TRAITOR
I don’t know.
Whatever it is I hope they get it, so long as they keep the guards busy.
News
from the ground is that plans failed. Shots to the brain and blows to the head
enrage and strengthen the undead prisoners. Although their flesh is easy to
tear apart with bullets, their teeth and nails are razor sharp. Large enough
groups able to kill soldiers but tearing their skin off and biting out chunks
of skin. Ground troops are falling back all over camp. Awaiting new orders.
HQ OFFICER
Stay out of
areas where the prisoners won’t die. Regroup and head out to the extermination
centers. The Commander wants as many prisoners destroyed as possible. You will
do more good at the firing lines for now.
The
soldiers waste no time and are soon off to the lines where thousands of bodies
have collected all over the ground. Along the way the Nazis encounter a few
escaped prisoners attempting to join the rebels.
SOLDIER 1
Halt there
you! Where do you think you’re going? Get back in line!
PRISONER 1
Yes sir. Sorry
sir.
SOLDIER 2
Don’t ‘sorry’
us. Trying to escape, what kind of coward you are? Not very worthy of your
little boy kings star are you?
SOLDIER 1
Seems you
think since your precious boy slew a giant somehow you are going to rise over
the Reich huh?
Soldier
2 pulls out his gun and shoots one of the prisoners in the head. Blood and
brains splatter onto the face of the other and he nearly faints at the sight.
Soldier 1 pulls out his gun and shoots the other prisoners face off. Many dead
bodies line the roads. Any even left twitching are shot dead by the bands of
Nazis who walk straight up the lines of prisoners shooting one after another
down. Still handfuls of prisoners are spared though only to gather the dead
into piles for burning.
Many
of the rebel prisoners are now armed and have begun to gather themselves. Thus
far the organized riots have shown great strategic ingenuity. It is no doubt
the rebels have planned this well in advance.
POW 1
Is there a
plan for the fences? You seem to know what’s going on here. You have things
pretty well organized? I can’t believe we’ve made it this far really.
SOVIET POW
Well, there
should be men in place to cut the power to the fences, but if there are back up
generators we don’t know about, we won’t know if the power to the fences is
down when we are ready to escape.
POW 2
Sir, there are
men coming this way. Rebels, armed. Women and children too, some of them look
injured pretty bad.
SOVIET
I told you
they would be here, as promised.
A group of rebels come into sight with rifles
in hand. The meeting place where the Soviet brought the POW’s is empty of
Nazis. They meet here to make further plans as well as share news from the
outskirts of the camp. The rebels inform the Soviet and the other POW’s of the
story of corpses coming to life to attack the Nazis. There seems to be a degree
of understanding from the Soviet, but the other POW’s are beyond confused about
what they hear. The Soviet was close with the Old Gypsy woman. She assured him
prior to the riots that there would be a distraction from a most unlikely
source.
SOVIET
Okay everyone;
there are explanations in order here
REBEL 1
How can you
explain what you haven’t seen? We have seen with our own eyes. The dead walk!
Many in the crowd are shocked; they have not
seen the corpses themselves.
REBEL 2
I saw my
father and his father too. Just today, but they were led to be gassed weeks
ago. My own brother carted their bodies to the gravesite. How do you explain
that?
SOVIET
Please listen
to me. What you saw, these are not your family. What you saw, they are the work
of that Nazis.
REBEL 1
Did you hear
that? He says the Nazis have raised the dead. So how did the Nazis come by
making such a miracle?
SOVIET
This is no
miracle, it is an abomination. The end result of a sickening science developed
by the
REBEL 2
Science for
what?
SOVIET
To create
slaves, perfect slaves. It became clear long ago that it might prove impossible
to exterminate all the prisoners here and in camps elsewhere. So as an
alternative, slaves were to be made out of whoever remained strong enough to
work.
REBEL 3
It is madness
they have created. The dead are not just walking. I have seen them attack the
Nazis. So viciously as to tear at their flesh and feast upon their insides.
SOVIET
You have
nothing to fear. I assure you.
REBEL 1
What good are
your assurances? Are your words to lessen our fears? We’ve seen the fucking
Nazis try to kill the dead, and die trying. Who the fuck knows when they’ll
come to attack us?
SOVIET
Have you been
attacked, any of you? Have you seen the corpses attack anyone but the Nazis,
any of you?
The rebels reflect on the things they have
witnessed amidst the chaos of the riots, and coming face to face with the
corpses. No one in the group could recall an instance where the corpses ever
attacked any prisoners, only Nazis.
REBEL 2
No, nobody but
the Nazis.
REBEL 1
That doesn’t
mean they won’t attack us if given the chance.
REBEL 3
They’ve had
plenty of chance.
SOVIET
The Old Gypsy
woman assured me; no harm would come to us. She told me of a curse. Some of you
already know this but the Old Gypsy was one of the first to know about the
Doctors tests. She saw the diseased prisoners buried alive. She even was
witness to their rise from the graves. On that very day, she put a curse on the
Nazis. So the corpses would only attack the Nazis. Ripping at their flesh and
feeding on their guts, never to be stopped until they have killed all the Nazis
at camp. The swastika being a clear reminder to prisoners of whom the enemy is.
I myself and many of us here witnessed the ritual. It was the only way to
distract the Nazis for us to escape.
Upon
hearing of the Old Gypsy woman’s curse, the rebels felt quite relieved. Many of
the prisoners at camp were Gypsies, along with Jewish Poles, Czechs, French and
Germans. All of which carried deep spiritual beliefs and some putting great
faith in such curses and blessings alike. Still, there was concern for their
families left behind.
REBEL 1
My children
are still in camp. They had been locked in their barracks early this morning.
REBEL 2
Along with my
children.
The
group of Rebels know that their children will be killed if they don’t try to
save them.
SOVIET
There are
plans for the children’s safety. Unfortunately we cannot be the ones to provide
it. All I can say is that the only way for us to help them now is to go through
with the riots as planned.
The
scene shows the traitor and children still marching along. The Nazi traitor
looking to either side of him as they walk forward, he catches glimpse of some
corpses moving off in the opposite direction. Sometimes the children also catch
glimpses and cry out in fright.
CHILD
There are
more. They are everywhere.
TRAITOR
Shhhh. Keep
your voices down. Remember not to look out or around. Just keep your eyes
towards the ground or straight ahead.
The
traitor and company walk off towards the distance. The trail of children is
long and takes a sec before the end of the line comes into scene. The sun is
high in the sky. In the foreground we see a stretch of land that looks to be
disturbed. Closer to the scene it shows to be a mass grave filled to the brim
with bodies. Another angle from the ground up shows the sun burning bright and
a beautiful hillside landscape in the background. Close to the front can be
seen a dead hand in focus. It begins to twitch and move, and then the moving
corpse slowly grabs itself up and drags itself out of the piles of bodies.
Simultaneously the other bodies follow, moving so slowly and unable to walk,
one by one the bodies crawl from the grave. From overhead the scene is filled
with the stretch of the grave and hundreds of bodies are out onto the ground.
Still hundreds more are still beginning to move and crawl out the grave. Most
still unable to walk, they continue to drag themselves across the dirt, all
heading towards the center of camp. The Nazi Doctors are being gathered from
all over the camp. One Doctor is being called away from a motor saw used to cut
up bodies of prisoners. Once he has completely cut off all the limbs from the
torso. He stacks them on piles. Arms with arms, legs with legs, heads with
heads, and so forth. Another Doctor is interrupted while extracting liquid from
a brain of a living patient. Careful to get every drop into test tubes all
around him. All of the Doctors and many SS Officers are together to watch a
film about “The Process”. The film exposes those in the room who are still
unaware of what they are dealing with at the camp. The film shows Nazi doctors
pointing to charts of the brain and different parts mapped out: Thalamus,
Amygdala, and Cerebellum. Also were different brain chemicals listed plus the
words Blood Brain Barrier. In the film it showed prisoners having their skulls
cut open while awake with no anesthetic, the whole while screaming in torment.
The film went on to show the Doctors injecting prisoners with something that
glowed. In the film, prisoners are shown to be vomiting all over themselves and
tearing at their skin and biting off chunks of their own flesh. Most of these
prisoners would soon die and be thrown into mass graves though often prisoners
which were partially alive were also thrown into the graves to make room for
more test subjects. Sure to die once buried with the bodies of fellow
prisoners.
When
the film ends, the Head Doctors explain that:
“The Process
is on record as a failure. Although this is just a cover up. The truth is that
we’re successful in breaking the Blood Brain Barrier and created a virus that
would infect all areas of the body. As a result, the altered body and brain
chemical composition of the test subjects’ corpses must have decomposed in such
a way as to reactivate the brain, in turn reanimating the bodies of the dead.”
Further
explaining that, the only way to stop the corpses is to dismember them
completely. Arms and legs cut in two and head removed from body. Mutilate them
entirely with as much machine gun fire and grenades as possible. The Nazi
Officers exit to inform watch towers and ground troops of the new orders. In
comes the General who calls for the Head Doctors to accompany him to the Interrogation
Room. He wants them to hear what the Old Gypsy has to say. The General and the
Doctors enter the room where interrogation of the Old Gypsy has been. There are
still Officers in the room, the children still gagged and women still bound.
The Old Gypsy is passed out; though the General slaps her awake.
GENERAL
Okay woman. We
are all here, and we all want to hear what you have to say.
DOCTOR 1
What is this
all about General? Really?
GENERAL
She is going
to tell us who is responsible for the riots. She knows who they are. She can
tell us why they aren’t dying, and how to kill them.
GENERAL
Aren’t you woman?
The General bends over putting his face in
hers, and she spits a wad of blood-mucus in his eye. The Doctors laugh.
DOCTOR 2
This is a
waste of time. This dumb bitch doesn’t know anything. She is playing you for a
fool General.
The
Doctors leave the room.
The
General, enraged - nods to the officers and instantly they pick the women up
from the floor. The women are screaming. The Nazis bring them over the tables
where the children are bound; they face them eye to eye. Contact is made for a
brief instant before the officers slit the throats of the women over the
children, their blood spilling on them as they shriek in horrendous terror.
OLD GYPSY
Curse you!
Bastards! Curse you all! You are damned, all of you!
GENERAL
HAHAHAHAHA!
Your curses are wasted now here old bitch.
OLD GYPSY
My curse is
already upon you! All of you! The dead walk and cannot be stopped!
GENERAL
What did you
say? What do you know old bitch? What does that mean – the dead walk? What do
you know about the dead?
OLD GYPSY
HAHAHAHAHA! I
know that the dead walk, and that they come for you! All of you, and they will
not stop until all of you are dead too! Then they will be free, but you will
suffer! Suffer forever! HAHAHAHAHA!
Reports
are coming in from surrounding Sub-Camps that the corpses there are returning
to life and aren’t dying when shot. The scene will show various sites of Nazi
Soldiers on far off camps shooting frantically at the mobs of corpses headed
towards them. Only to be engaged and devoured by the corpses. All around these
camps and here in the center of
OFFICER 1
What happened
to you sorry looking bastards?
The
Soldiers all tattered from fighting in the riots.
SOLDIER 1
We met the
rebels head on sir. They are armed and the corpses make it near impossible to
hit the normal prisoners. The corpse bodies really take up all our ammo.
OFFICER 2
Well, reload
and gear up with all the ammo you need.
All
the Soldiers are arming themselves to the teeth. All amount of fire arms are
being distributed amongst the Soldiers all around camp. There is no need to
save arms to fight the coming allied forces. All available resources are now
going to stop the escape efforts of the rebel riots and kill all remaining
prisoners. At the same time not far from the Nazis, the rebels prepared
themselves for battle. Still going over plans, the POW’s and rebel prisoners
are met up by more escapee prisoner, ready to join the resistance. Brining with
them more arms they have collected from dead Nazis, and more news from camp.
REBEL 1
It is really
turned to shit out there. The Nazis have truly lost it and are massacring
everyone in sight. We were lucky to make it out alive to find you.
SOVIET
Is there any
word from around camp? Or the sub-camps, the others make it out okay?
REBEL 1
No word that I
have heard. Other than overhearing that some workers returned to camp armed.
SOVIET
Is there any
sign of the children yet? Have they left their block?
REBEL 1
Now that I
don’t know. I heard that the orders came through for them to be exterminated.
But I was no where near those blocks to have seen for myself. If your traitor
is true to his word, I can only assume they are safe.
After
much talking, the newly armed POW’s shared some quick military knowledge with
their fellow prisoners. Women and children alike were shown how to use grenades
while men equipped themselves with rifles and what little ammunition was
collected. Now they must join the riots and continue with their struggle to
escape. The plan is to infiltrate still secure areas of the camp and attempt to
free as many prisoners as possible. Of course this task will come at a great
expense since the Nazis are armed and ready to combat any resistance. The
rebels move out of the empty blocks on their way to meet whatever they
encounter. A small band of workers outside of camp go down some back roads
toward a small shack still far in the distance. Along the way they encounter a
few Nazi soldiers.
SOLDIER
Hey! Where do
you think you’re going? Get your asses over hear.
The
workers are still too far away for the Nazis to notice they are hiding their
arms. But as soon as the soldier is finished talking a bullet strikes him in
the head, knocking him off of a truck he is sitting in. The other two Nazis
with him shriek out and move to grab their guns. No sooner do they reach out to
aim their rifles, they are both shot to death by the workers from a far. The
workers run up quickly and remove the Nazis bodies from the jeep. The workers
take the jeep and head fast towards the shack at the fences. Not long after
entering new areas of camp, the rebels run into hoards of walking corpses. A
now immeasurable amount of the dead have returned to life. Most of them rotted
and unfamiliar, though some have so recently been killed that they look nearly
alive. Amidst the gathering dead, the rebels find that it is easy to walk past
them virtually unnoticed. The dead seemingly unaware of anything around them,
seem almost as if marching towards the riots of their own accord. The rebels
notice that they aren’t being followed by the dead in as much as they simply
share the same destination. Further along the rebels continue to see mass
amounts of the dead all heading the same way. It seems the closer they get to
the riots, the thicker the mobs of the dead get. By this time many rebels are
finding relatives amongst the walking dead. Some even attempting to communicate
with their loved ones, but it does no good. The ever growing crowd of corpses
begins to unsettle the rebels. They wonder how long it will be before they find
surviving prisoners.
Nazi
Soldiers are still shooting prisoners in packs. Flogging them dead, or lining
them up for the gas chambers. So many dead in such little time, killing in
hours what once took weeks. But there’s no time left for the Nazis to care
about recording names or registering ID Numbers into catalogs. They’re orders
are to liquidate all remaining prisoners. While the constant threat of attack
from the dead lingers over them at the same time, having the impossible task of
destroying them corpses that will not die. Mutilation is becoming harder with
every new body that rises from death. Scene depicts the prisoners forced to
their knees to be shot in the head. Lines of prisoners show escape attempts,
only to be shot. Some prisoners even run out into the electrified fences,
rather than die at the hands of the Nazis. Without warning the rebels move into
to the extermination block. Firing with full force and closing in by throwing
huge stones. They manage to overcome the number of Nazis here and free the
prisoners in this sector. The prisoners are told by the Soviet what areas of
the camp should be empty. Directing them towards where he believes the children
should be. During these scenes, it shows how the corpses react when they see
the lines of people to be gassed. When they see the Nazis, how it enrages the
once docile dead into raving maniacal blood-thirsty monsters. Aside from both
rebels and soldiers being shot up and killed. Show the dead move in on the
Nazis who’ve fallen to gun shots. Ripping out their eyes and tongues, and
tearing apart Nazi bodies to eat their organs. Several Nazi soldiers that
managed out of the slaughter at the first extermination block arrive here to
report on the nearing wave of riots. The SS Officer in charge radios for any
available troops to be sent in to help fight off the rebels.
In a far away area of the camp close to the mass
graves, a slew of Nazi soldiers come running into the scene. Armed and ready to
attack whatever they may encounter, the group nears the site where a mass grave
would be. Once to the exact position of the grave site, the soldiers slow their
pace and inspect the area. It is obvious that the empty grave can only mean one
thing, the corpses that once filled this massive hole have returned from the
dead.
SOLDIER 1
HQ. Come in HQ.
RADIO VOICE
Report Private.
SOLDIER 1
Sir, we have just arrived at a gravesite where it is totally
emptied of bodies. There are trails of blood all around and bloodied footprints
leading out into camp.
RADIO VOICE
In what direction do they go?
SOLDIER 1
It looks like they’re headed where we’re going, into the riots.
These prints lead straight towards the extermination camps.
RADIO VOICE
Hurry yourselves then. I will inform the SS at the gas chambers
and firing lines.
The alert is received by the SS from HQ. Large
numbers of corpses are likely headed their way. The Officers hurry their
soldiers to the arms supply barracks around. Suiting up for an onslaught of
rioters on their way and now the threat of a mass of the dead, they arm
themselves to the max. Alongside the scurry of prisoners still being shot,
flogged and gassed – the Nazis attempt to maintain a degree of authority over
the situation. Although, it is becoming clear that there is little hope of
victory over the riots.
CHAPTER 3
The traitorous Nazi soldier leads the mass of
children thru a maze barracks and bodies. All the while the children are crying
terribly and getting sick from the smell of death. They near the camps edge
where the electrified fences and watch tower guards are likely the only things
now between them and freedom. More sight of corpses all around, moving passed
and away from them towards the riots. Many of the dead walking around are of
the recent dead, bodies barely fresh to the effects of death. Most are not too
gory since they are probably from the gas chambers.
Many of the children recognize family members
amongst them and cry out and run to them. Although the dead do little more than
gaze blankly at the youngsters, the never attack or show any rage in the least.
The Nazi notices that a lot of the corpses walking around are taking great
interest in his presence. He notices their eyes turning backwards in the
sockets exposing the eyes-balls white backside. They can’t help but notice his
uniform, adorned with swastikas and a skull with crossed bones. They move in
close but they see how the children crowd around the Nazi, as if for
protection. The children are scared of the walking dead. They don’t understand
what has happened to their families, but they know they are no longer the same.
The Nazi stays strong in the face of the corpses.
TRAITOR
Keep away from them! Don’t even look! Remember what the old
gypsy said. They won’t hurt you! Just don’t look at them.
A little girl tugs on the shirt of a corpse. She is
pleading with it to acknowledge her. She screams and cries.
LITTLE GIRL
Please Daddy! Please wake up! Please don’t let them take you?
Please wake up!
The corpse just stares at her briefly, looks and
walks away. The dead are vacant of any trace of memory or even thought process
from before they died. Absent of any humanity, and no other emotion except for
rage. Rage against the Nazis. Those they now seek to ravage beyond recognition,
then consuming whole parts of them leaving behind mere shreds of flesh and
bone. But apparently, they don’t want this Nazi. The longer they stare at him
the more that just walk off and on passed the crowd of children. The Nazi
soldier leads the children further out of camp. Not far ahead, they encounter
another Nazi. He also is leading a large number of children to the gas
chambers.
NAZI SOLDIER
Thanks God! I haven’t seen a trace of anyone for hours now. No
one but those things after me everywhere I turn. Luckily I have all the ammo I
need on me.
TRAITOR
Yeah, I wish I had as much on me. I have used most of my ammo on
those things already. I’d have these kids off in line by now if it weren’t for
them.
NAZI SOLDIER
I know what you mean. We’ve back tracked two or three times
already.
While the Nazis talk, the children from the group
with the other Nazi motion the children with the traitor. They see a chance to
escape if they move quickly enough. The children with the traitor nod NOT for
them to make a move, since they know the traitor is protecting them. The
children, not trusting any Nazi look confused and attempt to escape the scene
alone. Instantly the Nazi Soldier yells out for them to stop, of course they
don’t and as he aims to fire on them, the traitor shoots the other Nazi down.
The traitor steps over the Nazi and gets bloody spit in his face.
NAZI SOLDIER
You sick pig. You’ll rot in hell for this.
TRAITOR
I’ll see you there.
The traitor removes all the weapons and ammo off the
Nazi. He arms himself and now with another mass of children behind him walks
off and onto the fences. The scene shows a slew of prisoners still being shot
dead and in line to be gassed. On the sides of the road are piles of bodies set
on fire. The smoke reaches out all around and prisoners puke from the smell.
Also prisoners are sick from the sight of mass amounts of bodies being carried
out from the gas chambers and firing lines. In one corner of the scene, a pile
of bodies begins to collapse. The bodies all fall to the ground and begin to
get up and walk. The bodies a blaze, they throw themselves at the Nazis now
shooting on them. Many Nazis fall to the burning bodies attacking them and
catch fire themselves. They scream violently as their own bodies are set ablaze
by their attackers. Another scene shows a group of prisoners being shoved into
a room to be gassed. They are crying and begging for mercy from the Nazis. A
close up of the door as it shut behind them shows that the room is packed wall
to wall with prisoners. A cut to the roof shows several Nazis dropping cans of
down holes in leading to where the prisoners are locked. All along the ceilings
are shower heads that release a scalding hot water over the prisoners inside.
They all scream out in pain as the water mixes with the cans creating the gas
inside. From the outside of the door shows the room, fill up with gas and hear
the people inside puking and choking. As the Nazis gather another round of
prisoners in the hall to be gassed, they wait for the room to clear of gas so
they can remove the bodies inside. From the door angle again we see the gas
clear and to the shock of the Nazis, the bodies still stand, now dead but not
fallen. All the dead inside look blankly at the Nazi outside of the door, and
the prisoners in the hall notice. The prisoners look at each other, then all
move to the door, pushing down the Nazi to open the door, releasing the dead
inside. The hall way fills with a mass of dead all moving passed the living
prisoners to attack the Nazis just outside in the lines and on firing squads. The
scene is a bloodbath. The Nazis are under attack, the living prisoners are
running for their lives, many trying to round up their friends and family
through the chaos of shooting from the Nazis on the dead. The newly dead, all
naked and wet join the burning bodies of dead to kill the Nazi soldiers around.
NAZI OFFICER
HQ! The dead attack! We have fallen, prisoners escaping!
In the background can be heard the sound of the
corpses attacking and killing the Nazi as he is reporting. Thru the radio the
General and other Officers hear the man scream in terror before he chokes to
death on his own blood as the corpses devour him, heard clearly through the
radio. The radio officer looks to the General as do the other officers. The
General is obviously furious.
RADIO OFFICER
He said they have fallen sir. They’ve fallen.
The General storms of in a rage. He goes out into
the hallway and makes his way down the hall, kicking over chairs and knocking
files off of walls. Along his way down the hall he stops and enters into the
Doctors laboratory. When he goes inside he sees the doctors have several
corpses chained to the walls, others strapped to medical tables and random body
parts on the floor around.
GENERAL
So this is science is it my friends? Your pristine and precise
science, you’re always boasting of so proudly. Tell me Doctors, is this insane
scene I see before me the height of your careers? Or do you have something even
more sickening in mind for our final hours here? Because in case you haven’t
heard, we’re all dead! Fucking dead mind you, all of us. Because our troops are
falling to these creatures you created. And not one thing you’ve tried is able
to stop them from coming for us.
DOCTOR 1
Nonsense General. Total bodily dismemberment seems to have
served quite well. And I won’t believe for the life of me they intend us any
harm. These are things are mindless General I assure you. They are made to be.
GENERAL
What the fuck are you talking about?
DOCTOR 1
Do you remember what the film spoke of, The Process files? Do
you remember what the intent of this project was General?
GENERAL
It was a virus of some kind, a disease or something? To be used
on the slaves in camp, to perfect them somehow.
DOCTOR 1
No General. Not just for slaves. For soldiers, for officers,
even for you!
GENERAL
What the fuck do you mean, for me? Answer me!
The General grabs the Doctor and pushes him up
against a wall, right next to a corpse who is reaching out at them, trying to
grab the Doctor.
DOCTOR 1
The Process, it is meant to be a mind control device, mind
control being the ultimate aim. Don’t you understand?
The General lets go of the Doctor as he continues to
explain
DOCTOR 1
The SS new it was impossible to slaughter the masses of people
here and the camps all around
GENERAL
Impossible, you can’t control nature that way. A disease can’t
control someone’s mind.
DOCTOR 1
It can if it’s made from the brain. Once breaking the Blood
Brain Barrier, we fused human brain chemicals into a specific pattern that when
introduced into the bloodstream would infect a man’s brain as to make him
devoid of any individual condition. He would in effect, become without will or
purpose. The result of a virus which could mutate through the victim and become
airborne, then easily infecting the masses he meant to control. A virus created
in labs here on the camp.
GENERAL
Then what of the dead? What went wrong that is letting the dead
return to life? And why the fuck are they attacking us, Nazis? Eating men
alive, explain it to me!
DOCTOR 1
That I can’t explain.
GENERAL
I think I know who can.
The General and Doctors are now walking down a
hallway out of the laboratory. They move down a few stairs and back into the OR
where the Old Gypsy is being held.
IV. GYPSY INTERROGATION REVEALS ALL
The Doctors follow the General into the room. The
children still strapped on medical tables all covered in blood. The women’s
bodies stacked in a pile over a pool of blood, with blood smeared all over the
floor. The Old Gypsy still strapped to the chair, face all bumped and bruised
from being beaten. She is out cold till the General slaps her awake.
DOCTOR 1
You certainly know how to make a mess of things don’t you
General.
GENERAL
Spare me your sarcasm Doctor. I have brought you here because
this woman has something to share with us.
GENERAL
Something about a curse is that not right woman?
DOCTOR 1
You don’t seem to be anyone of consequence woman. Why put
yourself through this torture? Why put these children through it? Just tell us
what you know and it can all end.
GENERAL
Share with the good Doctors here what you have told me woman.
Tell of the curse that plagues us here.
DOCTOR 2
Curses huh? HAHAHAHA This should prove amusing.
DOCTOR 1
Yes old woman, share your curse with us. Did you raise the dead?
Did you cast a spell to make them come to life?
OLD GYPSY
No Doctor, it was you who made that happen.
DOCTOR 1
Was it now, how would you know that? Because I can assure you
woman, we do not deal in the supernatural here.
OLD GYPSY
You know nothing of nature. Nothing!
DOCTOR 2
We are scientists here. Nature is everything to science.
OLD GYPSY
Perverting it you mean, with your science of death.
The General and Doctors look to each other with
dismay. To anyone else this would all seem like mere babble, but they know what
she speaks of. But there is no way she could know about the Process or that it
is why the dead are alive. They simply laugh amongst themselves, pretending
what she says in nonsense.
OLD GYPSY
You laugh now, but you won’t be for long. You are cursed, all of
you. The curse of vengeance is upon you.
DOCTOR 1
What does that mean, the curse of vengeance?
OLD GYPSY
The vengeance of the dead, they want retribution for what has
been done to them. What you did to them.
DOCTOR 1
How do we stop them? What kills what’s already dead?
OLD GYPSY
They cannot be stopped, cannot be killed. They cannot die until
you are dead, all of you. This is the curse I put on you.
The doctor lets the old woman go. The General steps
up behind him and aims his weapon at the Old Gypsy’s head. He fires his gun and
her brains splash out the back of her head. The children scream in fright. The
doctors exit the room and stand in the hall way and follows the General. They
begin to discuss escape plans for themselves and other officers and doctors at
camp. In the background the children are still screaming as three quick
gunshots are heard and silence the children.
GENERAL
So we agree then, it is time for escape.
DOCTORS
Agreed.
As they continue you down the hallway, an Officer
runs up from behind and calls for the General.
OFFICER 1
General! There’s something wrong.
GENERAL
What else could possibly be wrong?
OFFICER 1
They are calling for you on the radio!
GENERAL
Well who is it?
OFFICER 1
There’s a call from High Command.
GENERAL
Calling for what?
OFFICER 1
Help! It is distress call sir.
The General looks to the Doctors as they walk out
the building. He returns with the other Officer to the HQ Office where the
radio blares.
RADIO VOICE
“The Allies have arrived! The war is over! Do not surrender!
Fight to the death for The Reich and The Furor”
The message repeats over and over.
RADIO OPERATOR
The distress call was interrupted by this message sir. I think
it’s a recording, I keep trying to call them but it just keeps repeating the
message.
GENERAL
Of course it’s recorded. They always plan ahead.
OFFICER 1
What do you do now General?
GENERAL
I don’t know about you? But I am going up to the roof with as
much ammo as I can carry. And I am going to blow the piss out of as many pigs
as I see.
As the General leaves the room, the radio operator
offers a last minute thought through to the ground troops.
RADIO OPERATOR
Orders, if any – just get your selves to a rooftop and blow the
piss out of them. Your own your own men.
The Radio operator and other Officers follow the
General to a room filled with guns, rifles and ammo. They gear up and move out
up the stairs to the roof. Total chaos is everywhere. Rebels are shooting Nazis,
Nazis are shooting rebels and corpses, and corpses are devouring Nazis. In the
scene, the Soviet POW has led his army of prisoners into the riots. In quick
fashion, the prisoners move in to take out Nazis while they are being attacked
by the dead. Many prisoners still in line begin to run off in floods. A lot of
prisoners stayed to help take out Nazis by hitting them with rocks. The Nazis
have little chance against the numbers of rioters and corpses all around them.
Not long into this scene are heard orders from the watch towers.
VOICE OVER SPEAKERS
“Any areas of camp where the rebels are attacking, move to the
rooftops and continue assault on the rebels from safety.”
During scenes of intense fighting between the rebels
and Nazis, we see many Nazis move off into the buildings around. Many of these
buildings are filled with property collected from the prisoners when they
arrive at camp. A single soldier finds his way into a building. There are no
lights on in the room but he can faintly see boxes full of jewelry and piles of
shoes. While he looks around he see piles of suitcases full of photographs
scattered all about. Not paying attention, he stumbles over and falls –
knocking down a barrel full of teeth. At the same time a group of corpses
bursts through the door. The Nazis eyes fill with fright as the corpses advance
on him. He tries to get up but slips in the teeth spilled all over the floor
under him. As he slips, the dead attack him. Tearing at his flesh, ripping out
his eyes, the dead rip into his chest and pull out his guts. Feasting on the
sickening mess of blood and guts while he screams in agony, the soldier spits
up blood before being torn in half by the corpses. In another building, the
scene shows a group of Nazis burst through inside and head towards the stairs
to the rooftop. Right behind them follow a group of corpses advancing quickly
on the Nazis. Running passed rows of bread and cans of soup, the Nazis make it
to the stairs and up a flight. The corpses are fast behind and catch the soldiers
on the steps. Pulling them down and tearing at their skin, the Nazis scream out
shooting off their guns in vain. In moments blood begins to spill out of the
mouths of the soldiers as their shrieks stop. The corpses peel apart the bodies
of the soldiers and eat up the innards they tear out from inside. The next
scene shows several Nazis make it to a roof. They run out to the ends to see
the chaos below. The Nazis fire on armed rebels in the crowd. Once seeing the
Nazis appear on the rooftops, the Soviet calls for the prisoners to head out
towards the ends of camp – to the fences.
SOVIET
Everyone head out to the ends of camp, to the fences.
The prisoners move out in waves and run as fast as
can be out of harms way. The Nazis continue to shoot on the rebels as they run
from the scene. Many prisoners are falling to gunfire from the Nazis. Still the
rebels fight on against the Nazis and manage to bring down many of them as the
corpses move in to make a meal out of the Nazis. The Nazis shot and fallen, crawl
along the ground. Some still shooting at rebels and others shooting at the
advancing corpses, screaming in fright knowing they are about to die. As soon
as the corpses take hold of the fallen Nazis, they punch into their bodies as
blood spills out of them. They take hands full of organs from their bodies and
shove them into their mouths. The prisoners around are sickened by what they
see and make way out of sight to the fences at the end of camp. Prisoners and
rebels are headed out to the ends of camp. They are headed to the fences to
make way for escape. There are by this time very few Nazis at the watch towers
and on the ground. Most of them are hiding from the threat of the dead catching
sight of them and attacking. Along the way between blocks, the rebels continue
seeing a few Nazis and fire on them or throw grenades. The dead seem to be
turning around as if following the rebels. Many of the dead ahead also seem to
be turning around and making their way towards the fences.
REBEL
We never got word from the men outside, about the fences.
SOVIET
There’s no word to get, we can only pray at this point that
they’ve made it the fences with their lives.
The small group of workers are at the shack that
controls the electric power along a large stretch of fence around camp. Two of
the workers are inside the shack disconnecting wires and shooting out large
machines. The third worker stands outside by the jeep taken from the Nazis. During
the scene we see two Nazis in watch towers looking out towards the worker by
the jeep. The worker sees the Nazis and begins to fire on them with a rifle.
The two Nazis return fire and hit the worker in the leg. He falls and crawls
around the other side of the jeep. The two workers inside the shack hear what’s
going on and go outside to help. Now exchanging gunfire with the Nazis the
workers are unsure that the power is down to the fences since there may be back
up generators somewhere else in camp. In the direction of camp on the other
side of the watch towers a wave of prisoners come into sight. A few Nazi ground
troops left on guard are quickly shot down in an exchange of gunfire from the
armed prisoners running to the fences. The guards in the watch towers turn away
from the worker rebels to start firing on the prisoners inside camp. With
gunfire on them from both sides of camp, the Nazis in the towers fall dead once
shot. Not thinking, a prisoner from the crowd runs right up and on to the
fences thinking the power is down on them. In a flash he is shocked down off
the fence to his death with smoke coming from his mouth from his insides being
fried. Instantly, the wave of prisoners halt in terror at what they see. There
is back power coming from somewhere else in camp. The fences are still
electrified and there is no other way out of camp. Overhead there are airplanes
beginning to fly in. They had been circling far away but now move in dropping
bombs on the camp. It is the Nazis, in their last attempt to destroy evidence
of the camp – Nazi airplanes are bombing the crematories and graves. On the
ground waves of the dead are exploding in bursts of flames when the bombs drop.
The Nazis on the roofs cheer in praise of the work of the airplanes above. At
the same time fear a bomb might drop on them. Many of the Nazis go back into
the buildings to seek shelter from the dropping bombs. Outside the buildings
there are massive waves of rebel prisoner making their way to the fences. The
Nazis inside the buildings see the rebels outside and begin to fire on them
from inside out the windows. The corpses in the crowds of prisoners move
towards the buildings. They are now catching the many bullets being fired by
the Nazis, creating almost a barrier around the buildings to shield the crowd.
The dead completely surround the buildings and the Nazis inside are freaking
out. The corpses bang and pound on the doors beginning to give way to them. The
airplanes overhead continue to destroy waves of the dead and evidence of the
gas chambers and furnaces. The General and other officers are on the roof of HQ
shooting at waves of rebels moving to the fences. The Doctors are collecting
files and various vials and assorted chemicals together. Being led out of the
Medical building by SS Officers, the Doctors head down into a concrete bunker
built underground. It is the intended safe house for them and other SS
Officers. The General sees the Doctors disappear underground from the roof of
HQ. He turns away with a look of disgust on his face. The General says to
himself
GENERAL
I’ll clean up your mess.
The scene shows the traitor come into sight before a
huge crowd of children. They are running fast toward the large crowd of rebel
prisoners now gathered at the fences. The traitor and group of children are
running away from bombs being dropped from overhead. The rebels run out towards
the children and begin to fire at the airplanes trying to bomb them. They see
the Nazi traitor with the children but are to busy to do anything as they are
dealing with the airplanes. The Soviet sees the traitor and children and runs out
to them with the other rebels. He calls out to the traitor and the traitor
responds. The other rebels see this and know not to fire on the traitor, he is
with them. As the rebels continue to fire at the airplanes overhead, a few more
bombs are dropped, just missing the wave of rebels and children. One of the
watch towers is hit instead and the fences begin to spark. The rebel prisoners
at the fences see this and know it means some power has been knocked out to
some section of the fence, but which one? Without knowing, they don’t make any
move to escape before more prisoners come to join them. In the distance a
massive wave of the dead come into sight. They seem to be moving somewhat
quicker than before. The rebels look on in fear not knowing if the corpses were
now coming for them or not. The rebels move out of the way of corpse crowds and
watch as the dead move passed them. The massive wave of the dead move quickly
towards the fences and as soon as they approach, they begin to throw themselves
at the fences. Their bodies being shocked intensely by the electrified fences,
they begin to fry and smoke.
Wave after wave of the dead throw their bodies onto
the fences. They all begin to sizzle and fry up on the fences as their bodies
smoke out the eyes, mouths and ears. The mounting number of dead following suit
begin to weigh on the fences, eventually breaking thru the barbed wires and
downing them as sparks fly all around.
The corpses are knocking down the fences and
breaking the chain of electric power running through them all around camp. The
rebel prisoners stand back in awe at what they see. It doesn’t take long before
the first wave of prisoners run out of the fences over the corpses out of camp.
As more prisoners escape camp, the nearing children with the traitor head fast
to their families. The traitor now back behind the children stays there and
shoots at the Nazi airplanes with the rebels. A lone Nazi soldier hiding
between barracks sees the actions of the traitor. Without a moment, the lone
Nazi shoots the traitor in the back through the head. The Soviet sees this and
shoots the lone Nazi dead. As the traitors’ body falls, his face explodes and
his eye balls fly out of his head. The eye balls stretch out but stop, still
connected to the sockets. A close up of the traitors eye balls show a
reflection of the waves of children now escaping camp with the rebels. The
General looks on towards the fences, watching the prisoners begin to flood out
of the fences the dead have knocked down. As the sun sets behind the scene and
a few streams of sunlight gleam over the camp, a loud sound comes out of
nowhere. The General and other officers look and coming through the door to the
rooftop are a slew of corpses. They begin to fire on the corpses, some of whom
fall under the wave of bullets spraying them down. But the mass of the dead
coming up the stairs to the roof of HQ is too large to be outdone by bullets.
As the dead advance on the Nazis, some Nazis choose to jump of the rooftop to
their death. One Nazi shoots himself in the head, while the General and few
remaining officers stand in fear as they see the corpses draw near. In a flash
the dead attack the General and other Nazis. They scream in agony as their
bodies are torn to shreds by the corpses. The whole while being eaten alive by
the blood thirsty dead, the General screams obscenities at the corpses warning
them.
GENERAL
This isn’t over, you haven’t won!
The Generals chest and stomach have been torn open
and his innards exposed. As the last breaths of air are released from his
mouth, blood spills out of his mouth while a corpse rips his heart out. Still
pumping blood, the corpses each take turns biting huge chunks out of the
Generals heart. All over camp the dead are making their way into building and
up to rooftops. Although most Nazis are dead, the remaining few are mostly on
the roofs. As the corpses break through doorways to rooftops, more cowardly
Nazis simply jump to their death to the ground below.
Once their bodies hit the ground, they are lucky to
snap their necks and die before the corpses catch sight of them. Since many do
not die from jumping off the roofs, they cripple themselves disabling them to
walk or run from the attack of corpses. Soon, many Nazis on the ground become
prey for still hundreds of corpses all around them. The corpses make short work
of their injured prey and mutilate them beyond recognition. Ripping arms from
shoulders and legs off torsos, heads off and tongues out. The corpses continue
to feast on the guts of the Nazis they slay.
The same fate for the General lies in store for the
remaining Nazis on the roofs. They shoot on the dead but to no avail. Quickly
after flooding the rooftops, the corpses engage the Nazis and begin to punch
into their bodies. Tearing out flesh and pulling out organs while the Nazis
scream in terrifying pain. From rooftop to rooftop the screams of Nazis can be
heard. The Doctors still hiding underground can hear the screams and shiver in
fear, knowing that they would be dead too if they hadn’t made it to their safe
house. Although as soon as the screaming they hear dies down, they begin to
hear banging on the entrance to the bunker. It is the corpses, somehow they
know there are still more Nazis in the underground bunker. The corpse’s pound
and scratch at the bunker doors. But the doors are even impenetrable to heavy
gunfire and grenades. There is no way the corpses rotting flesh will break
through these doors. The Soviet and many armed rebels see the Nazi airplanes
fly off into the distance. Still floods of prisoners are escaping camp over the
bodies of the dead. The rebels also notice flocks of corpses slowly walking
back into camp.
REBEL 1
What do you think they could be doing now?
SOVIET
It looks like maybe they can finally rest.
Many corpses are so rotted and mangled from gunfire
that they fall motionless to the ground. Still many of the dead march forth,
back to their grave sites. Many of the corpses are already at the graves,
throwing their bodies back inside the ground. As more and more gravesites are
shown to be refilled, many of the corpses begin to draw dirt back over
themselves. It seems that their work is done. They have managed to get their
revenge on the Nazis and free the remaining prisoners at camp. They can now
rest in peace. An enormous crowd of prisoners, young and old run alongside the
train tracks. Many of the armed rebels run on the outside of the crowd scanning
the path for Nazi soldiers. In the distance can be seen several jeeps and even
groups of soldiers running from heavy gunfire coming from planes.
The soldiers are not Nazi, they are Allied forces
invading the camps. As the jeeps near, many rebels run to them shouting out
their names and ranks.
SOVIET
These are escaped prisoners from
Allied Soldier
We are not prepared for this many people. Frankly we had no idea
there would be this many, what was going on at that place
anyway?
They explain to them what has happened and the Allies
cannot believe their ears. Never the less, they can help the prisoners to
safety and home to freedom. The jeeps speed off as huge trucks come driving up
to the scene. The prisoners are helped onto the trucks until they are packed
full and they drive off into the sunset. Dust and dirt fill the scene in a
cloud of smoke. The cloud of dirt disappears to reveal the boots of soldiers
marching into camp, Allied soldiers are arriving there. Amidst the wreckage of
buildings, the Allies are sickened by the carnage all around. The dead are
strewn all over the ground, prisoner and Nazi dead alike.
Allied Soldier 1
What in Gods name has happened here?
Allied Soldier 2
God had nothing to do with this mess.
Groups of Allied soldiers investigate all areas of
camp, finding more carnage that is hard to explain. The condition of the bodies
suggests they were blown to pieces by dropping bombs.
Although many of the prisoners’ mouths are full of
tattered bits of uniform, some even have Nazi armbands in their hands. Also upon
closer inspection, many of the Nazis body parts have teeth embedded into their
flesh.
Allied Soldier 1
Sir, have a look at this. These bodies, they have teeth broken
off in them. They’ve been bitten on, eaten to death.
Allied General
This body has skin under it’s nails, he was scratching off skin.
Allied Soldier 1
Whose skin?
Several groups of Allies call to their superior
officers once finding the mass graves. Photos of the scene are being taken
along with motion picture cameras filming what they see. Close ups of dead
prisoners and Nazis showing how mutilated and rotted they all are. Allies are
looking through file cabinets and emptying drawers onto the floor. Sifting
through papers and scanning through charts. They find little more than maps and
blue prints for the camp.
Allied Officer
No sign of any Process files sir. Not here anyways, maybe they
would all be in the
Allied Corporal
Then send word to the troops in the med lab that we’ve found
nothing here. It must be where they are.
Orders for the
camp are also found as well as invoices for chemicals and equipment purchased.
Even list of names are found of the prisoners who have ever lived and died
there at the camp. The Allies inform their superiors of what they have found
and are ordered to collect as much information as they can carry.
Allied soldiers also looking through files and
scanning rooms for sample of whatever work was conducted at camp. Officers in
charge inform the soldiers to be on the lookout for anything with the words
“Process” as a codename. Further finding dead bodies inside the med lab the
Allies find more files and movie films. All gathered as evidence to be looked
at later for proper cataloging of information on the camps. Allied soldiers
burst their way thru the entrance to the bunker where the Nazi doctors and
other Officers hid from the massacre at camp. The Doctors have all the Process
files in their possession and know they can be used to barter for their lives.
Allied Officer
Can I guess at what you have there doctors? Or are you going to
make this difficult?
DOCTOR 1
You will get no difficulty from us young man, I am sure we have
exactly what you are looking for.
The Allied Officers radio their High Command to
inform them of the scene at camp. High command is very interested in the fact
that there were doctors left alive and that the Process files were found
intact. High command informs the Allied officers to make sure that the Doctors
are treated well and brought safely back to the States in secret.
