Our Values
Family and friends are very important in our lives. Having a child will be a real blessing that deepens and strengthens our love, and we’ll raise our child with love, patience, and compassion.
We will provide many opportunities for our child to experience, learn, and grow in a nurturing and stimulating family environment. We want to help him/her develop his/her fullest potential. At the same time, we want to teach him/her to care for other people and to live a happy and balanced life. Most of all, we will love our child a whole lot.
Fun Things to Do
We are active people who love the outdoors, and spend much of our free time walking, hiking, and bike riding. We also love the quiet moments: reading, listening to music, watching the sunset and the boats going by, or simply talking and cuddling. We have so much fun just thinking about our time together - flying kites, building sandcastles, and splashing in the water on the beach, and reading bedtime stories. We can’t wait to share these times with our child. Also, we will be so excited about taking our child to visit our favorite places such as Hawaii, N. Calif. coast, Europe, Hong Kong, and other interesting places in the world.

Bob has a teenaged son, Jared. As a single father, Bob has been actively involved in Jared’s life, from changing Jared’s diapers to coaching his soccer team. He is very excited about doing it all over again. Heidi is excited about being a mom, which has been her dream for many years. We enjoy spending time with Jared, who is looking forward to being a big brother. We have large extended Chinese and Irish families, who live in Hong Kong, Canada and California. We visit each other frequently. We celebrate New Year, Chinese New Year, Thanksgiving, Christmas and birthdays with our families and close friends. We particularly enjoy our time with our younger nephews and nieces who are from ages 4 to 6. Our family time is filled with laughter, humor, and a lot of hugs and kisses. Our families enjoy cooking and sharing meals together. All of us will love sharing these special and happy times with a new little person.
Our Home
We live in a nice house in a beach community, Ventura, California, right across the street from a park and close to the beach and a boat harbor.

The baby’s room is right next to ours and will be filled with toys and books. Our house has a nice backyard with a garden, and enough rooms for the child, cousins and friends to play in and stay over. There are many children of all ages in the neighborhood, and a lot of fun activities in the park. The school and the library are just a few blocks away.
