Senior Chris Hattayer elected as both Student Government President and Student Member of the UCONN Board of Trustees Senior Chris Hattayer elected as both Student Government President and Student Member of the UCONN Board of Trustees Honors senior Chris Hattayer has been elected in separate elections as Undergraduate Student Government President for 2001-2002 and as a two-year term as Student Trustee serving as a full member of the University of Connecticut's Board of Trustees. This is the first time that both positions have been held by the same student. Among his other activities, Chris is organizing the UCONN Model United Nations for high school students to be held again on campus this fall as he is the Secretary-General of this event.
. This year's election marks the third year an international student has held SGA presidential post. Richard Padilla, vice president for student affairs, will swear-in the new student government - including 13 senators - at a ceremony from 4 to 6 p. Thursday, June 14, in the Reading Room of the Geological Sciences Building. The SGA is the official voice of the student body in the university's decision-making process.
