Radzyń Podlaski

One of the most majestic 18th century palace-cum-garden complexes in Poland. Erected on the initiative of Eustachy Potocki in the years in the years 1750-1759 according to Jakub Fontant's design. Semicircle in plan with an inner courtyard, the palace is intersected by two view axes. Rich interior with the Rococo decorations by Jan Bogumiń Plersch and Jan Chryzostom Redler. In 1944 the Germans burnt the palace. It was reconstructed and now houses offices. Only the sculptures by Redler remained of its superb decorations. In the park the Rococo orangery has been preserved.
