Reszel

There is a bishops' castle in the southeastern part of the town started about 1350 and completed in 1401. In the late 18th century the Prussian authorities converted the castle into the seat of a law court and a prison. After 1807, on the site of the southern wing, an evangelical church was erected. Reconstructed after World War II, the castle contains a number of exhibition rooms and hosts various cultural activities.
