The above image map is divided by these sections:

  • On our first night, we went to Berkeley (more on this topic later).
  • This is a bike taxi guy. We were tired of walking on the last day. We got honked at a lot. One car threw those noisy caps at us and yelled to ride on the sidewalk.
  • I made Kim get behind some flowers for this picture.
  • We took a road trip to Carmel and Monterrey on Saturday. Monterrey was more built up and commercialized. There were seals at the pier there.
  • There was an interesting mural in Monterrey that depicted every famous person that ever step foot in or nearby Monterrey.
  • Carmel was bit more rustic. I didn't see Clint Eastwood, but I looked for him. Everyone seems to converge at the beach in the afternoon.
  • There were surfers there as well. It was really hard to get an action shot because every time I saw that they were going to take a wave, they pretty much wiped out by the time I could find them and focus.
  • Back in San Francisco, we went to Golden Gate park on Independance Day. We watched (mostly) older Chinese men lawn bowling. It was pretty relaxing. These action shots were way easier.
  • There was a section at the park where disco music was booming and people were roller dancing. The first guy I saw didn't even need the roller skates.
  • Some cool Victorians just outside of Haight Ashbury.
  • The ceiling of the celestial room of The Stinking Rose in North Beach. This restaraunt has garlic everything. Even though it's a little touristy, we still like the food.
  • One of those weird trees they seem to have in California. This one is from Carmel.
  • Roller disco ladies (somewhat) in sync.
  • A wall on a school in Haight.
  • A lone sailboat (perhaps my trademark) with the Bay Bridge in the background.
  • We later went to see fireworks from a nearby park. Instead of the San Francisco 4th of July tradition of watching the fog change colors, we actually had a clear night for the festivities.
