CRIME SCENE MODELING
Manual crime scene modeling is a basic form of a crime scene modeling. Based on measurements from crime scene we are modeling every detail we think is important in specific shooting incident. We can use photographs as a template for modeling or we can start modeling on basis of a traditional top view sketch.
Advantage of this approach is in a fact that we are free to choose any viewpoint of “camera” so we can observe a shooting incident from every viewpoint and also we can animate the ”camera” itself.
In next example exact 3D model of a terrain up in a mountains is generated by use of a Total Station and data exported in dxf format to CAD/CAM program. "Camera" shows crime scene from different viewpoint. Red balls denotes positions of a suspect, a victim and a deer in a particular instant of time.
