SIMULATION
Practically in all shooting
cases where several witnesses are involved there will be different versions
of the same shooting incident. Using the same 3D model of a crime scene we
can animate suspect, victim and witnesses according to their versions. With
this technique it is possible to simulate different shooting scenarios.
Depending on specificity of a particular shooting case and taking into
account all the relevant data from crime scene and from forensic laboratory,
ballistic expert can conclude what really happened and hence to formulate
his version of the shooting incident. Moreover, he can show his version as a
3D reconstruction.
Simulation of different
conditions of light (day, night, artificial light sources,…) and weather
conditions (wind, rain, snow, fog, …) can be easily done. Inserting sounds
is also an option.
Ballistic 3D simulations can
include cases where also animals took a part.
3D models of dogs, horses, bears, foxes, deer's, birds, ducks,… can
be also animated and included in simulation.
Ballistic simulations of
shooting on moving vehicles is also easy achievable with this technique. For
instance: “camera” can easily be fixed inside a moving car and record a
shooting incident while a suspect is shooting on a car from the outside.
