Make Human?!?

Oh yea, just as the name implies, it does just that...

A freeware program that lets you create/extract a working and mapped .obj file/model of a customized figure. AWESOME!!!

Make Human is seriously awesome, I cant believe I havent caught wind of this earlier... You start off w/ a biped figure, and apply a set of morphs that will customize the character via detailed distortions to the body figure and seperate smaller features.

I gave the program a quick test run, and was w/i minutes able to extract a workable 3d human model. Definitely worth a look :) The characters can be imported into other software and customized further and/or even rigged and clothed! Some serious potential in this one for sure.
