Applications:

Higher corrosion and creep resistance than type AISI 316.

Notes:

Welding - Normal welding technics can be used to weld this material. Recommended filler material is AISI 317L or AISI 309Cb. To retain maximum corrosion resistance, anneal after welding.

Heat Treatment - Heat to 1850 - 2050 deg F and cool rapidly to anneal. This material can not be hardened by using thermal processes.

Heat Resistance - Provides good oxidation resistance if intermittent heated to 166 deg F or if it is continuously used up to 1700 deg F. It is not recommended to use this material in the range of 800 - 1575 deg F.

This is a Austenitic stainless steel.
