  Rey Bisda

Rey is a good friend of most of us especially the ones who joined the Troop 85.  He was a Special Science(Cancer) in high school.  He is now married to Gretchen Palapos Bisda and they have 2 wonderful sons namely, Russell (1993) and Randell (1997).  They are currently residing in Toronto.  Val tried to contact Diana Lansangan through the Alumni Net and Rey heard about Val from Diana (who is Rey's best friend and kumare).  Rey lives 5 minutes away from Val.  Rey is still the same clean-cut, hospitable and  well-mannered guy just like in high school days. They can be contacted @ this email address: rbisda@osfinc.com

  Ruben & Marife (Eugenio) Cajiuat

Ruben and Marife have been happily married for 13 years this coming March 7.  They are now residing in the beautiful Vancouver, British Columbia.  They are blessed with two beautiful children, Florence Mae (born 1988) and Reuben Nathan (born 1994). Both kids who were born in Canada are fluent in Tagalog. Florence speaks French, too.  They can be reached @ this email address: fcajiuat@macdonald.vsb.bc.ca

Marife has this sweet comments on how things should have been in high school... "We felt that we should have been closer last high school but because of this elective segregation that they did, naging magkakalaban tuloy lahat. Like E-1 versus M-1, versus Sc-1, etc.  Sana, IV-1 na lang lahat.  But anyway, it is not too late to catch up."  Beng Evangelista met Fenchi and Ruben during a Grizzlies Basketball game held at GM Place and that started a good friendship.

  Reuel Cruz

Reuel is a success story and a good example of how a person work hard to reach a goal.  He was in Math-3 during high school.

Reuel arrived in Toronto on November, 1992. He started as a machine operator for 6 months, until he became an Industrial Mechanic-Night shift team leader, while at the same time finishing his diploma in Building Environmental Systems (BES) for building maintenance at Seneca College but did not get any luck getting any job in the field which is a blessing. He then took a part time job in UPS as a courier. After almost two years, he decided to give up his full time job and while still in UPS pursued a diploma in Computer Information Systems at DeVry in Scarborough. After getting his diploma, he moved up to the position of Computer Technician and stayed there for a year while waiting for his wife to graduate in the same course. In spite of being considered for a supervisory position, he decided to resign.

He and his wife, Lida along with their daughter, Krizzia left Toronto and drove to DeVry in Long Beach, California to finish their degree in Computer Information Systems.  After finishing their degree and before driving back to Canada, he received an invitation from FedEx to attend a Technology Expo in Memphis, Tennessee.  The Technology Expo was attended by over 200 students from all over USA and lasted for three days. A month later, they flew him back to New Jersey for a written test, written communication, panel interview and presentation. Then got the job offer a couple of weeks later. Right now, he is working in Columbus Ohio as a Consultant for FedEx while his wife works as a Database Analyst.

He communicates with friends mostly through e-mail- rgcruz5@msn.com or ICQ (ICQ#-35827867).

Romeo was in Math-1 (Batch 1979).  You can probably recall him as Lex's shadow in high school.  He refused to post his picture on our website without royalty.  Next time you're in New York, you might spot him in one of the giant billboards.  He is a good friend of Inia who is New Jersey.  Boyet can be contacted @  this email address:  cumovies@yahoo.com ( read as "see you [at the] movies")

  Enrique Santos

Father Erick Santos is like a brother to many of us.  He is presently assigned as parish priest at the Immaculate Conception Parish in Tayuman, Tondo and President of the Manila Cathedral College.  For the last seven years, he was assigned at San Rafael Parish/Parochial School in Balut, Tondo.

He is still involved in Scouting.  He sits with the Executive Board of the BSP-Manila.  He gets to attend the Christmas and Summer Camps and take care of his own troop in the school. Once he said a mass during Sir Rudy's birthday.  The alumni scouts were there, he was alone in our batch 'though.  Two years ago, he also said the mass during the Grand Alumni Homecoming in Torres High.  He was also the lone attendee among the '78 grads.

He is very lucky that in his vocation he gets to meet a lot of our old colleagues and teachers.  Here is an excerpt from his email...."Just last week, a grade four student in my school approached and embraced me; he told me that he is the son of Sir Jimmy (Roque).  In one recognition program at San Rafael, Balut, Ferdie Lomibao mounted the stage and accompanied his son.  Jaime Tan attends the parents meeting.  It's always nice to see these people.  My work as an educator brings me to various seminars for teachers and administrators and it's always a feel-good experience to see former teachers among my audience.  Some batchmates and teachers also attend my annual open lenten retreat at the Araneta Coliseum. Some of them are regular callers in my radio program at Radyo Veritas. "

His ministries include pastoral works, education, charismatic renewal, youth apostolate, human resource development and media among others.  He was invited to preach to the renewal communities in California and New York in 1991 and 1993.  The past few years, I decided to spend my annual vacation organizing pilgrimages to Europe and Holy Land.  This year, I have three scheduled pilgrimages in celebration of the Jubilee Year: May (Egypt-Jordan-Israel), August (Rome-France) and October (Holy Land and Europe).  He is planning to go to the US and Canada in 2001.

He is also currently involved in getting hold of our batchmate and is putting together a committee for the 25th Anniversary Grand Reunion of the Batch of 1978.  Father Erick can be reached @ henrique@info.com.ph
