   Celso Galvez

Celso and his family came to Canada in September 1997 after spending 13 years in Saudi Arabia.  The same year after he graduated from P.U.P.,  he worked in Saudi Arabia.  He met his wife in the same hospital where he was working and they got married in November 1989.    His wife's name is Mary Joan B. Beleno, Statistics graduate from University of the East.  Celso & Mary Joan's eldest son, Jan Russell (1991) will be grade V this coming school year.  He was born during the gulf war in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.  Their second son, Jen Kendrew (1994) is in grade 1 and their daughter Joan Kressell(1996) is 4 years old and she is in prep.  All of their kids were made in Saudi Arabia.  Mary Joan is presently working as Clinical Rearch Associate/Data Manager at Oncology Department of BC's Children's Hospital while Celso is currently working in Provincial Government's Ministry for Children and Family as Office Assistant.

Celso, on his batch '78 connections, "Madalas kaming mag-usap ni Beng.  They are 25 minutes away from our place.  Actually, my previous employment was in their area.  I met Ruben Cajiuat one time in the mall with his family.  Actually, Ruben is my brother Cesar's classmate in Torres High School same batch as yours."

   Romeo Kabigting

Boyet has been here for 13 years.  He has  been all over the place.  He initially lived in San Diego where his mom and 2 sisters still live.  He then moved to Maryland, Virginia, New York, Texas, Mississippi, Utah, Germany, then back to New York.  Believe it or not he was in the Air Force for 4 years.  He got tired of pushing the  F-16's so he call it quits.  He studied for a bit here and then landed a job in a residence for foreign graduate students near Columbia University.  He was there for 5 years as Front Desk Manager.  Last year, he heard this calling that he placed in the back burner for so many years.  He wanted to make films.  So, out of the blue he quit his job, back-packed in Europe for a month and now back in school as a full-time film student.

When asked about his wife & kids, "I live alone with occassional roommates of course.  Anak?  I don't remember having any.  I've always been pro-choice so, down the drain na siguro sila.  Asawa? Marami, pero hindi sa kumbensiyunal na depinisyon. Marami akong inaasawa."

Romeo was in Math-1 (Batch 1979).  You can probably recall him as Lex's shadow in high school.  He refused to post his picture on our website without royalty.  Next time you're in New York, you might spot him in one of the giant billboards.  He is a good friend of Inia who is New Jersey.

Boyet can be contacted @  this email address:  cumovies@yahoo.com ( read as "see you [at the] movies")

Manny Pasco- Manny is based in Saudi Arabia since 1993.  Send your correspondence to empasco@hotmail.com
   Eduardo Rafael

Ed now reside in Mississauga, Ontario.  His wife, Aida Pendon Rafael, is a midwifery graduate at Ortanez University and is now a Medical Lab Office Assistant after graduating from Career Canada College.  They have two kids namely, Aiddee-Lynne (1990) and Bryan Elgin (1995).  Ed is a Night Manager/Night Auditor at the Delta Toronto Airport Hotel.  They have been in Canada since 1991, around the Kipling area for about a year in 1991, then we moved to Dixie/Tomken in Mississauga and had been staying here eversince.  He also have just completed a 'Programmer Analyst Diploma' program at CDI College, in fact he graduated on January 21 of this year.  He is currently seeking a job promotion at the hotel where he is working for.

"Borloloy" (his boyscout nickname) recollected some of his Troop 85 days…"I was in your patrol (Kanluran) Sir Val, with Nestor Fuertes being the Patrol Leader and you as our Asst. Patrol Leader. Remember when we did the play Jesus Christ Superstar in one of our Campfire (I think in Mt. Makiling in 1977). I played one of the apostles.  Sir Rey, you were the scribe then (’78) for troop 85, and I was the next scout to become a scibe after yourself. I will never forget your handwriting, which is fairly similar to Sir Narvaez’s handwriting, which is similar to my handwriting! It has become a signature penmanship for aspiring troop scribes then."

What Ed says about the batch of '78, "You know, mataas ang respect namin sa batch ninyo, you guys were our inspiration and model, wether it be in Scouting or in the classroom.  That's the reason why hanggang ngayon ay natatandaan ko pa rin ang mga pangalang Val Buzon, Rey Bisda, Erick Santos, Jimmy Roque, and all the other senior scouts before me."

  Rodela I. Romero

Dheyeng graduated in BS Math but opted to work as a Research Specialist, in the policy group. She is currently connected to the Department of Energy, particularly in the division handling alternative sources of energy like solar, wind, hydro and biomass.  For this reason she is fortunate to visit some of the memorable places.  Her first training was in Italy, then she visited almost the whole Asia, in 1995.  Del attended a three month course in Colorado, USA and stayed in her Aunt in San Francisco.   Last year, she was in London for a week and this year she was supposed to head up to Madrid, but because it was tight to facilitate all her travel documents, she begged off.  But here's another blessing, she has a planned trip this May 6-17 to the USA again, targeting Washington, Colorado, San Fran and New York.

Here is a humble comment from Dheyeng on all these accomplishments, "Lahat ng iyan, Kuya Val, biyaya ng Poong Maykapal.  I can not afford to do so, kaya sa Diyos ako umaasa, sa lahat lahat.  These are some of the benefits in working with the government.  Maliit man ang sahod but with these priveleges, okey na rin."

On her high school barkadas...."My high school friends are still in tact... Dory de Lara, Maricel Limcangco, Emily Murillo, among others.  Siguro, mas  familiar ka kina Cherry, Nancy, Hector, kung baga sa level second class kami, hindi gaanong popular but siguro may konti ring utak, ngiii..." On her Cyber-barkadas, "Si Celso, Boyet, Manny Pasco, Rafael and Raymond are my e-mail pals.  Dito kami nag-kukuwentuhan and Dory was the one who gave me the AfterMath info."
