Painted frame Ready for the first two battery boxes after removal of the rusted out gas tank and about 30 pounds of dirt and rust from 10 years of New Hampshire road salt. New heavy duty gas shocks are already installed, but one intrudes into the space for the passenger side battery box. (Visible in the upper right of the picture.) Also, the driveshaft is offset about 2 inches to the passenger side making a tight fit for the battery box on that side. The third battery box is behind the differential and the fourth under the hood in place of the radiator. Most of the batteries are below the truck bed and toward the center of the vehicle for a low center of gravity and better handling than the original design! The bed will have hinges welded to the rear and small gas shocks to hold it up - a tilt bed.
