8/20/03: There were some delays Monday and no work yesterday due to the sand fill being too
wet to compact. It didn't seem to be drying quickly, but they were able to compact it very well
just 2 days later. The gravel already in is for a future basement room on the left and storage on the right. The foam insulation panels go down 4 feet and will keep the floor warmer in the finished room. They are installed now since it will be rather inconvenient for someone finishing the room to do in the future after the floor is poured. The dirt hole in the center is where the concrete will be poured, without forms, for the pad for the support columns.
Its starting to look like a house and no more ladders needed to get to the top of the back wall! The driveway excavation begins tomorrow.
