Closeup of the rear battery box with the differential just visible above the box. There is a wooden filler the size of a battery in the lower left corner since there are only three batteries in this box. The mid-pack fuse is in one of the filler compartments and covered with plexiglass for electrical insulation. (The filler box has since been removed and the entire box enlarged to now hold eight 6V batts.) The fuse is a Gould 500 Amp, 250Volt DC fast acting fuse. The small black dot in the upper left of the box is a drain hole.
