Molga Earthmover Zoid
Notes:
The Molga was built in huge quantities during wartime. And at the end of the central continent war many of the these Zoids were surplussed off and are now used in the private sector. Its very sturdy frame and low center of gravity make it an excellent chassis for earth movers and digging machines. Many of these Zoids have been converted for construction, carrying a wide variety of  tools.

Tail down, blade up.

Tail up, blade down.

This started out as a NR molga model. The construction pieces are from some 1/72 scale toys. I removed the head and front armor, replacing them with a new cab, and the bulldozer blade. That cab took allot of chopping and splicing to fit. Next I replaced the wheels with a set of twin rim tractor wheels, and included a pair of fenders as well. I replaced the middle of the body with a scraper unit, this still has some of the molga feet attached to the bottom. The tail guns were replaced with a heavy plow, which can be positioned up or down..

This was topped off with aluminum metelizing lacquer paint, then 3 layers of  Fusion "sunbeam yellow". I hate this paint, as it changes color as it drys, taking on the color of the plastic beneath, even with primers! While the yellow was soft I scrapped and chip it down to the metal, this has no dry brushing. Then a misting of "earth brown", a layer of real mud, and a dark gray wash.

When wound up, the model moves great, in fact it's a bit more animated the the original, as I'd changed the angles of the mid section a bit.

The inspireation for my model. A typical bulldozer type tractor and a scraper.
