Notes:
The Guysack was built in huge quantities during wartime. And at the end of the central continent war many of the these Zoids were surplussed off and are now used in the private sector. It's has a sturdy chassis that's easily maintained, and is very agile. Which makes it quite suitable  for a rough terrain construction machine. Many of these Zoids have been converted for civilian use, in a wide variety of  applications.

Rear facing cab to operate the backhoe.
Twin loading shovels.

This started out as a NR Guysack model. The backhoe is from a 1/48 scale tractor, and the loading shovels are from a pair of 1/84 scale toys. The tail was replaced with the backhoe, using bits from the toy to mount the part. I also dressed up the backhoe a bit, as it was lacking detail. I thought the rear facing cab was a nice touch.  I removed the front of the arms to fit the shovels, and cut and spliced the arms to straighten them out. As well as leveling out the arm mount so the shovels mount right.  I modified the the legs, replacing the feet with plastic wall inserts for screws.

This was topped off with aluminum metelizing lacquer paint, then 3 layers of  Fusion "sunbeam yellow". I hate this paint, as it changes color as it drys, taking on the color of the plastic beneath, even with primers! While the yellow paint was still soft I scrapped and chip it down to the metal finish, this has no dry brushing. Then a misting of "earth brown"
, a layer of real mud, and a dark gray wash.

The model still moves, but a bit slower do to the added weight.

The inspireation for my model. A typical loader/backhoe combination.
