Taking a break for a year really help the team re-group and re-organize itself. Meanwhile we have made some changes to both our team and our school. 

   Robotics Class  

We have added a Robotics class that the girls actually get course credit for, which meets every Tuesday from 3 to 5 and the Robotics meetings everyday after the kickoff until the robot is shipped off. The girls get graded on a variety of topics discussed on both the off-season and game time. This is also a great way in which the girls can get a sense of what they will have to do when they actually have to get working the actual robot they will for the competition.

This class is not Math or English where all you do is look at a textbook, listen to lecture, write down notes and take test this is where you have real hands on learning. Where the materials are tools, wires and wood and metal and lesson consist of learning how to construct a machine whether it is simple or complex and then actually turning that machine into reality.

We have a new set of girls to continue the legacy started by the pioneers from 2003 & 2004. These girls are willing to take on all triumphs and hardships in this 6 week long in endeavor to create a machine capable of competing in the game announced by F.I.R.S.T. organization.
