The Rubric Grading Chart for Class Activities
A.)Exceeds Standards Distinquished Student (4 points) a2.
Can cover a multitude of mathematical topics.
a3.
Takes a task(s) and marks a mental picture; builds retention in schema.
a4.
Transfers data from lesson; from concrete, to bridge, to symbolic stage.
a5.
Probes critical thinking by storytelling to build a hands-on to mental manipulation which is recall.
a6.
The student is neither right or wrong in exploratory stage so builds mathematical confidence.
B.)Meets Standards Proficient Student (3 points) b2. Diagrams and drawings are more accurate, labelled correctly through various math vigor.
b3. Strong ability to apply mathematical terms where needed which the math alone summarizes the final results.
b4. Can solve problems with little to no direction, exemplifies independency.
b5. Very good reading comprehension and interpretation of mathematical problems.
b6. Ability to interpret real world application(s).
C.)Approaching Standards Adequate Student (2 points) c2. Can draw and label diagrams correctly and attach the proper equations to match the picture.
c3. Can demonstrate at least 2 different ways to solve/explain a problem.
c4. Ability to apply and understand units of measurements, time and conversions.
c5. Interpretation via mathematics or writing skills.
c6. Capable of solving mathematical equations, with a check for a proof to individual topics.
D.)Unsatisfactory Below Standards (1 point) d2. Lacks confidence, tries to not participate orally.
d3. Homework done but incomplete, tries to take short cuts.
d4. Frequently absent when review of tests/quizzes, or absent on the day of exams.
d5. Unprepared for class occasionally doesn't have a pencil, scientific calculator, journal, math book.
d6. Claims to not understand yet asks few class questions, or doesn't come for tutoring study or lunch period, or after school.
E.)Inadequate Failing Standards (0 points) e2. Does not finish or hand in class work by the bell because wastes class time.
e3. Work is illegable, has no comprehension of multiple task(s)or applying mathematical equations.
e4. Does not follow directions, loses points not following math steps/rules.
e5. Does pay attention, talks while the teacher talks, has a bad attitude towards the class or disrupts the class.
e6. Does not comply to class contract rules, unprepared for class or hands homework in not on time.

    Point Scale:
    13-16=A Distinguished student
    9-12=B Proficient student
    5-8=C Adequate student
    1-4=D Unsatisfactory student
    0=F Failing student

    Distinguished (experienced)student

    Multiply 3.5(x4)=_______________

    Proficient (practitioner)student

    Multiply 3(x4)=__________________

    Adequate (apprentice) student

    Multiply 2.5(x4)=_______________

    Unsatisfactory student/(novice)

    Mutiply 2(x4)=_______________

    Failing student

    Mutiply 0(x4)=_______________

Now put the total number of points below and grade it.
