Short-cuts There is a strange shortcut at the exit to the tunnel. You can turn around from the starting line and head to the exit of the cave. When you are just inside and facing out of the cave you must drive to the left of the exit and jump into the wall. You must make sure to do this just right because if you go too far left you will fall onto the lower part of the cave. If done correctly you will fall into water and Lakitu will pick you up and place you inside the cave and when you cross the finish line your lap counter will advance one. However if you jump too far to the right and if Lakitu picks you up and places you outside the tunnel then the trick didn't work. You can also turn slightly left when jumping over the river and landing on the item boxes to cut a few seconds. Just after landing form the jump there will be a right turn that you can cut early if you have a mushroom. You can use an advanced slide to boost youself right up the wall of the cave and out.

VS/GP There are a couple of corners that have water off to the sides of them. If you place bannana peels at the beggining of these corners then your opponents will hit them and slide into the water.

General Info For this track you must remember to use mushrooms to cut accross corners.When begginers enter the cave they tend to lose themselves but if you look at the floor you will notice a lighter section that will lead you to the left and up out of the cave.
