Short-cuts This will probably be the most famous track in the game. If you are asking yourself why then you should know that Nintendo Power is having a contest with prizes like a gold controller or a mario cart calling card with five free minutes on it and all you have to do to enter is get a best time of 1'30"00 or better on Mario Raceway. To make it easy to view your score for this track you can press the right shoulder button on the controller at the tittle screen. Now I guess since I would never have gotten the short cut on this track without th help of the N64HQ's Mario Kart 64 Strategy Guide I should let you see first hand where I learned it. Good luck this is a tough one.

VS/GP Very narrow tracks. It will be harder to avoid bannana peels and if you hit one you will spin further off of the course.
