• Age: 15; birthday is twelve days before Midsummer.
• Marital Status: betrothed to Jorik Hastur.
• Occupation: Lady of Aldaran, part-time adventurer (instrumental in quests of Avara Matrix, Evanda Matrix, and now Aldones Matrix).
• Former Occupations: trainee at Neskaya Tower.
• Residence: Castle Aldaran, except she's rarely there anymore.
• Laran gift and laran training: powerful Rockraven Gift, lesser Aldaran Gift, general laran; trained for a season at Neskaya Tower, where though not trained for the postion she was given teh Monitor's Oath, due to Domna Myria's concern over Maibrie's unpredictability and dangerous laran.
• Politics: moderate liberal; like her sainted uncle, Maibrie desires to improve Darkover, however, she is realistic enough to know that it must be a gradual process; one of her primary concerns is providing Aldaran with a constitution, a project that has been in the works for several months.
• Personality: Despite Maibrie's reputation for being a brat, most of this comes from the fact that she is easily excitable, precocious, opinionated, and has had little real discipline in her life. She can be very dedicated, and is learning to be responsible. She enjoys intrigue, and so sometimes gets herself caught up in her own cleverness. In spite of this, she is very caring and will go out of her way to help a friend.
• Strengths: Maibrie is very intelligent in her own way. Before her father fled Darkover, he insured that she had a proper Terran education (up to the age of ten) in addition to a Darkovan education. She is also knowledgable about politics, money, and laran.
• Weaknesses: Maibrie can be unpredictable. She is obsessive about chocolate (though who in this day and age isn't?), beleives her cat Tallo is more intelligent than some humans, and is often not very sparing of other's feelings.
• Combat training: During her early years, Maibrie was a bit of a tomboy, and due to Aldaran's progressive stance towards everything, she is passably skilled with a sword. Mostly, she has set such things aside now that she is Lady of Aldaran, but she still remembers how to handle such weapons and occaisionally does.
• Horseback riding: Maibrie's riding skills are only passable, and once they were down-right bad. They have improved slightly due to her recent travels between Aldaran, Neskaya, and Thendara.
• Appearance: Maibrie is short (5') and a touch round (buxom, but also plump). She has large green/grey/blue eyes, long light-red hair, and elegant hands. She is not particularly beautiful, though her face is often animated enough that she can seem attractive.
• Romantic relationships: Jorik Hastur
• Friends: Anya Lindir, Robie Di Asturien, Lirielle Aldaran, Dolorosa Leynier, Leisha n'ha Ursula, Rafael Lindir (her regent), the late lord of Storn (her favorite uncle . . . who she does not yet know is dead), Morgain Aldaran, Brendan Scathfell-Aldaran, and possibly a few other people who I've forgotten
• Pets: Tallo, a large, intelligent orange cat; Brutus, the fabled Lap-Dog of Aldaran (blessedly no longer in her possesion); usually some horse or other
• Hobbies: chess, politics, letter writing, planning the future of Aldaran, sneaking out to go adventuring
• Other Information: At the time of this writing, Maibrie is suffering from amnesia (well, not really suffering). She has been absent for months, supposedly on a mission to a mysterious island with her betrothed to find the Aldones Matrix to again defeat Sharra. What resulted in her reappearance? That is also mysterious.
