• Personality: Very reserved. Calm and cool headed. Will show little emotion, unless he is very annoyed.
• Strengths: He has a shrewd intelligence and a fierce sense of honor. He is extremely organized and detail oriented. He is an excellent guardsmen with an impeccable record, which allowed him to be promoted quickly to officer status. He admires intelligence, skill, and strength in his peers.
• Weaknesses: He can be very stubborn and arrogant. He is a strict believer that rules should be followed. He shows very little leniency when he feels they have been broken. He feels there is a right way to do things, and a wrong way. His extremely reserved and cool personality makes him appear cold with little warmth. His twin brother Rod is also the one that inherited most of his share of the laran. Rod is a technician at Neskaya Tower. Rafe and his brother have very different opinions, so they often argue when together. Rafe spent a great deal of time with his first cousin, Ruyven Castamir, and they became sworn brothers when they were boys. Ruyven's foster sister, Dolorosa, became the little sister Rafe never had.
