Mariko has two sets of replica Samurai swords. She keeps one set in her quarters in the hostel; the other set's in her room in the guildhouse.)

She wears normal renunciate clothes and her long knife, on her left hip, when she's in the city. Mariko's hair is as short as June Gail Morgan's in the Rex Morgan comic strip. Within the Enclave, because her eyes are used to Darkover's red sun, Mariko wears tinted glasses to keep the bright white lights from blinding her.
