Alright.. it's been a while.. I know.. stop bitching at me already! It's not that I haven't had time to write, or that I don't feel like writing, or that I have nothing to write about.. it's just.. I'm fucking tired, and I can't compose a coherent sentence muchless many sentences..
I found a really good TV show called "Queer as Folk".. It's on Showcase at 12:00 Monday nights.. but it's only a limited run of 6 or 8 episodes.. and they've already aired 4 episodes.. but if you can catch the rest of the episodes, it's well worth it..
Anyway, I was watching it last night and TV rarely makes me re-evaluate or atleast think about my current situation (Dawson's Creek and the Jack kiss was a recent one though).. but this show did. A character on the show is "coming out", he's come out to his friends.. he goes to the gay clubs.. but his parents don't know.. well.. actually, his mom knows, and confronted him. He freaked out and got out of the car.. That's my situation right now.. sort of. My friends know, my family doesn't.. or atleast I don't think they do..
Anyway, his mom confronts him, and there's a bunch of details that I wont bore you with, but it all leads up to a discussion of his former lover (who is in his 30's.. don't ask.. just watch the show) and his friend (the lover's friends) and his friends parents.. It was something his friends father says that kinda hit me.. "he doesn't care that his mom knows he's gay.. he cares that she knows he likes cock". It was blunt.. it was to the point.. and it was EXACTLY what I've been feeling and unable to express.
See.. TV does have it's uses!

Wow.. I'm really excited... I might have a new job.. Not some shitty Burger King job either.. It's a PAYING job in a REAL theatre. I'm REALLY excited and I REALLY hope I get it. The interview is Monday or Tuesday.. I have to call and make an appointment.. My mom dropped off my resume for me because I had to work (and she explained that, so it wont be a problem for me.. they wont think that I'm indifferent toward the job.. cuz she explained why I didn't do it personally), and told me that the lady took a quick read-through of it and apparently looked "excited" (I dunno what that means) and said "We would DEFINATELY like to set up an interview with him".. which to me sounds more promising than "Thank you for the resume, we'll set up an interview time".. So WOO! I'm REALLY excited.. and I REALLY want this job!

I had my job interview on Monday, and they are SUPPOSED to get back to me today.. I've been sitting around my house all day WAITING for the bloody phone call. I don't know how I did.. but I hope I get the job. Last night, my "sister" told me to apply for a job at the restaraunt she works at, because one of the hostesses quit, and she thought I'd be a good host.. so I applyed, and we'll see if anything comes of that. Either way, I'm quitting, because it's become UNBEARABLE!
Funny story.. Tuesday was the last day of high school for some friends of mine (I graduated last year) and they asked me to stop by the school and sign some yearbooks and say hi to teachers and whatever. So I got to the school at about 10:00 and assumed I'd only be there for an hour AT MOST. I ended up at the school for the entire day. My friend and I then went for lunch at a Japanese restaraunt (here's the funny part)..
Anyway, we sat down at a table and the restaraunt was pretty empty.. I think we were the only people in there at the time.. Anyway, two guys walked in and I was looking at one of the guys and thought he looked VERY familiar. I couldn't quite figure out who he was.. Anyway, we were sitting at our table and like every 5 minutes I'd look over at him and try to figure out who he was.. I finally realised who he was and then proceeded to sit at the table and whine about how I was pretty sure I knew who he was, but was too chicken to go and say hi.. My friend got quite annoyed at me and kept threatening to go and say hi for me.. and I kept dissuading here. We did this for almost 2 hours.. It was rather pathetic.
Anyway, when I got home, the first thing I did was logon to my computer and sent him an ICQ message asking if he was at a Japanese restaraunt that day. I got a message back from him later that night saying that it was infact him, and he was looking at me the whole time too.. cuz he couldn't figure out if he knew me.. He thought we were making fun of him though, because my friend and I would keep looking at him and his friend and start laughing.. but we were only laughing because I kept saying "I know him!" and she kept responding "Go over and say hi, or else I will!"..
I should mention that I've only met him once, when Sean and I went to see Ariel's play.. and he had a lot of make-up on.. so I'm not REALLY a moron.. just a partial one. Anyway.. it was really funny.. and he's DAMN cute too! <grin>
OK.. now I've just gotta wait for the bloody phone to ring! ARG! |
