At the start of the High School Season, I did not know whether or not I would make the Varsity or J.V. team. I was put on the the Varsity team, which made me the 4th freshmen ever to make the Varsity team! I did not get to start a game until the 4th game of the year. Our team started out the year very bad, with a 0-3 record. I got to start the 4th game, and I led my team to its first victory of the year.
I adjusted very quickly to this level of baseball. One start I pitched against one of the top teams in the conference, and I had a 1 hitter and a shut-out going until the 6th inning. The final score was 7-1. Also, at the end of the year I got a letter.
