"Happy New Year Baby"

"So everything’s set for tonight then?" I ask.

I’m outside the hospital where Matt is inside getting his physical therapy. In fact from where I’m standing, I can look through the window and watch him and the therapist going through repetitions of light weight lifting.

"Okay Steph, thanks a lot. Hmm? No, he has no clue. Okay bye."

I hang up the phone and continue watching my fiancée lifting the light dumbbell to strengthen his left arm.

Watching him, I’m amazed at how fast he’s come in his treatment since the stroke he had after WrestleMania eighteen when we exposed his half-brother Hunter Hearst Helmsley as a murdering, raping bastard. When we got to the back I noticed he didn’t look like he felt well, and shortly after I asked him how he felt, he collapsed to the ground scaring me, his brother Adam and everyone else in the back half to death.

The three days after the stroke were the hardest, wondering if he was going to be all right or even come out of it at all. It was then I knew how important he was to me and I proposed to him while he was in the hospital, hiding the ring in his dinner tray. We had planned to get married after the holidays, but I just couldn’t resist giving him a New Year’s Eve he’ll never forget.

Hence my phone call to my sister Stephanie. With help from her and her fiancée Chris Jericho, I was making arrangements for Matt and I to get married tonight before midnight.

I watch as his therapist points over to me and he looks at me and laughs.

God it’s so nice to see him laugh after everything we’ve gone through.

It was about three years ago while I was sitting in my father Vince McMahon’s office when he was screening tapes sent to him by various independent promoters wanting him to take on their best wrestlers. Some of them were okay and others were downright awful, but when he popped on a tape from a Florida promotion, my heart just stopped.

I was hypnotized the first time I saw Matt and his younger brother Jeff, but unlike Vince who thought we could get a lot of teenybopper action from Jeff, I was drawn to Matt. His dark hair and sensuous features made me have feelings I thought were long suppressed and when Vince decided to sign them and Adam, I knew I had to have Matt.

Problem was, he was already married. To Adam.

I watch him wait for his therapist to schedule his next session.

That little piece of information, though disappointing, didn’t detract me from my single-minded goal of making Matt mine. At first I thought I’d get him to bed with me and that’d be that, but as time went on and the more he turned me down, the more I wanted him and it wasn’t just for sex.

I’ll admit I was jealous of him and Adam, especially seeing how devoted they were to each other – or should I say how devoted Matt was to Adam, being there whenever Adam needed him though anxiety attacks and night terrors, caused by the horrific rape Hunter had subjected Adam to. Practically throughout my adult life, I’d slept with any male with a pulse, wanting them to love me the way Matt loved Adam. And yeah I’ll admit I was a smarmy bastard to Matt in the beginning, making inappropriate suggestions and hitting on him even in front of Adam, but it was the only way I could think of getting his attention. I didn’t know any better.

The therapist hands Matt his appointment card and helps him off the table. He still has some problems with walking and such, but not as bad as when he started. Watching him slide his coat on, I take it as my cue to head for the car and bring it around.

Walking to my car, I think back on the day in the attic of my sister’s house that she shared with her ex-husband Hunter, not knowing what the room itself had represented to Matt until I read his journals and found out the whole story. She and Hunter had thrown a cookout to celebrate the beginning of fall and to show off the decorating of the house. After one of our usual snipefests, Matt had gone inside the house and having seen a glimpse of him through the attic window, I’d gone up to find out what he was doing there and saw he’d been crying about something though he passed it off as the dust bothering him.

While we were there I laid it out on the table about how I felt towards him. How I wanted him not just for sex, but for the other things as well. I’m sure he would’ve replied if Stephanie hadn’t come up looking for us.

Getting in the car, I warm it up a little before driving it over to pick Matt up at the door.

Waiting for him, I can barely control myself. I am so looking forward to tonight and I hoped he felt the same way when he finds out what I have in store for him.

The night he told me he loved me…I can’t describe it. I know I told him first but to hear him say it…I don’t think I could’ve wanted anything more in my life.

Spotting him walking out with one of the therapy assistants, I open the passenger door for him. He was still using the cane but more for balance than any real help.

"See you next week, Diane," I hear him say. "Happy New Year’s."

He gets into the car and setting the cane to his left, he buckles his seat belt and closes the door beside him. We kiss and his lips are soft and cool. "So how’d it go today?" I asked.

"Pretty good. Though I still have some trouble with the balance beam."

"You’ll master it." I take my hand off the wheel long enough to squeeze his left hand.

"I’ll have to if I want to get back in the ring."

"Well don’t rush things. I’d rather have you back two years from now at a hundred percent than next week and unable to wrestle."

He smiles before leaning his head against the window. "Looking forward to the first Nitro?"

I pull up to a stoplight. He’s referring to the first televised Nitro since Vince bought WCW a year or so ago coming up in February. Vince had planned to give Hunter WCW and kick me out of the family, but when everything came out about what Hunter did to Matt and Adam, not to mention his poisoning Stephanie, he changed his mind and let me have it. And since then, I’ve been busting my ass to get it up and ready to go not only back on television but also on the road and hopefully back to pay per view. The great thing about it though is with some financial help from Matt, who signed with WCW, I purchased WCW from Vince and it was all mine to run as I saw fit.

"Yeah," I reply driving on. "Everyone’s psyched up about it. We’ve got enough storylines to run at least the first six months and not to mention I snagged a couple of the "Tough Enough" kids from Vince."

"Which ones?" his tone was sleepy.

"Josh, for the cruiserweight division and Paulina for the women’s. I’m still talking to Nidia and Maven. Hey did you want to grab something from McDonald’s or something?"

I glance over and see he’s sound asleep.

I sigh with a smile. Rest up honey, you’ll need it tonight.

Picking up a couple of chicken dinners from Kentucky Fried Chicken, we made our way home just as the snow started falling. Nothing heavy, but something I wished would stop before we went to my parents’ house. We planned on doing it over at Stephanie’s house, but with everyone who’d come in for Christmas, there really wasn’t enough room so with great reluctance and some nudging from my mom, Linda, I decided the house would be the best place to hold it. With the dinners in my hand, I helped Matt out of the car and we walked into the brownstone that had been my bachelor pad before I asked Matt to move in with me.

"Looking forward to going to my parents’ tonight?" I asked once we were settled at the dining room table.

"I don’t know if I want to go out tonight."

I pause as I pull his drink out of the bag. "Why not?"

"I’m just tired from the therapy, besides wasn’t New York City enough of a thrill for New Year’s?"

He’s referring to last New Year’s when we went to New York City to watch the ball fall first hand. It was after Stephanie announced she was pregnant with my nephew Christian Jeffrey McMahon – soon to be Jericho - and before the hell that came before WrestleMania when we were trying to find the tape that proved Hunter had murdered Matt and Adam’s mother Chyna.

"Yeah, but it’s CJ’s first New Year’s."

"He’ll probably sleep through it like I’d like to."

"Besides, we promised Mick and Collette we’d be there, not to mention the Laurers." It was a dirty trick bringing up Matt’s adoptive parents and biological grandparents, but it had to be done, I just had to get him to go to my parents’ house tonight. They were already in town for Christmas anyways, but when I told them my plans for New Year’s, they decided to stay a few days longer. Now it was Dwayne and Adam I was worried about now, their not having come back from their tour of Japan, Vince having sent them there when the WWF decided to start touring the Far East.

"I guess." He sighed.

"Great. We’ll have lunch and then you can go upstairs and take a nap and we’ll head over about ten or so." I leaned down and kissed the top of his head. "I love you Dark Angel."

He laughed. "Love you too Boy Wonder."

"What do you mean they’re not on the flight?" I say into my phone.

I’m sitting in my office while Matt is sleeping, trying to get some word on if Adam and Dwayne were on their way here.

"Shane," I could hear Chris telling me. He didn’t go because of a hamstring pull. "I called some of the guys and they said they weren’t on the flight the fed booked for them."

Oh this isn’t good.

"Well did they say anything to anyone about if they were leaving early or if they were staying?"

"They didn’t say anything to anyone about anything. Maybe they’re going to stay there for a while for a honeymoon."

Damn just what I didn’t want.

Dwayne and Adam finally tied the knot back in September and because of the hectic schedule Vince had the company on now that WCW and ECW – now run by Steph – had split from the Fed, Adam and Dwayne didn’t have much time to have anything resembling a honeymoon.

"You know Shane if you’d just told them before they left, I’m sure they’d be here by now."

I wanted to tell them, but I never had the chance. "Well if you hear from them, tell them what’s going on and tell them to get here pronto."

"Hate to tell you Shane-O but it’s at least a seventeen hour flight from Japan to LA and another twelve or so hours to get from LA to NYC and then a few hours to get from there to here. You’ll be lucky to see them before Groundhog Day let alone before midnight."

I sigh in frustration, knowing that Matt wouldn’t want to get married unless his brother was here and they had promised to be our best men after Matt and I were theirs at their wedding.

"Well like I said, if you do hear from them, then let them know what’s going on."

"All right. But you know it won’t be possible for them to make it before midnight."

Saying our goodbyes, I hung up.

This is not going well. Adam and Dwayne aren’t here. The snow is getting worse. And I haven’t even written my vows yet.

Leaving the office I head upstairs and check on my husband to be.

Standing in the doorway of our bedroom, I watch as he sleeps, his black hair loose around his sweater clad shoulders.

It was taking everything I had to not go over there, kiss him awake and make love to him, as I’m oft to do whenever I’m around him.

Remembering the vows I have to write yet, I don’t think there’re any words I can come up with to describe how I feel for him. I mean a simple ‘I love you’ seems inefficient to me and the vows most couples used just didn’t seem to pinpoint my exact feelings for him.

No, I want this to be special.

Nine thirty.

"I didn’t know this was a formal party," Matt says when he sees me come into the room with the tuxedo bags.

"I didn’t know either until Steph called and told me Mom and Vince wanted it to be a formal this year." Lying little bastard, aren’t I?

I woke him up around eight forty-five and he still looks drained.

"I don’t know if this is a good idea." He comments. "I mean look outside, there has to be at least a foot of snow out there."

I do look outside despite myself.

"Well I promised Stephanie we’d be there." I said hoping the concern in my voice didn’t show through.

"I don’t know."

"Matt, listen, if it gets worse, then I know Mom and Vince have plenty of room at the house to accommodate everyone-" including the minister who’s a friend of Chris’s and has performed hundreds of commitment ceremonies. "-we’ll just crash there for the night."

"I’m not sure I want to go out in this to begin with."

"We’ll be fine. I checked the roads and they’re clear. Now come on." I walk over to him and pull him off the bed and into my arms. For a second I seriously rethink my plan to go as long as it meant I could hold him like this forever.

"I hope it’s not like this when we get married," he said resting his forehead against mine. "You know we never did set a date."

I try not to let my expression betray me. "Well how about tonight we discuss it with everyone?"

"Shouldn’t we wait until Dwayne and Adam get back from Japan? After all if they’re going to be our best men…"

"We’ll take it up with them when they get back." Lord let them be there tonight. "Besides we’re going to have to work out a day everyone can come up here on."

He nods before moving away from me. "I’m going to grab a quick shower before we go. I got a little sweaty during therapy and I’m probably not smelling my best right now."

"Okay but make it fast."

"I’ll try." He walks without the cane to the bathroom closing the door behind him.

In the bedroom, I hang and unzip the garment bags before stepping back and admiring the tuxedoes I got for the occasion. They were nice and simple, no flounces or any other decorations on them other than the black satin trim on the slacks. As much as I can imagine Matt wearing this, I’m also imaging taking the tuxedo off him.

"Shane?"

"What honey?"

"Could you give me a hand with my back?"

Lead me not into temptation, I think with a chuckle as I head for the bathroom and open the door.

What I see takes my breath away.

Through the frosted shower door I could see Matt’s wet naked form, his black hair slicked back hanging down his shoulders like an inky waterfall.

Fuck leading me into temptation, I’m already there.

I check my watch.

Nine-forty.

I think we can be a little late.

Finally getting dressed after the hottest pre-wedding sex on record, Matt, using his cane, and I walked to the car and pull out of the driveway.

"I hope Adam and Dwayne don’t have to fly in this." Matt says as he watches the snow fall.

I only hope they’re there.

I glance at Matt from time to time, wondering what he’s thinking. Wondering if he suspects anything.

I sigh, knowing if he did, he was hiding it real well.

If there was one thing that bothered me about him was this penchant for keeping secrets from everyone, something I’m sure he had to do when he left the attic that had been his and Adam’s prison for almost five years and hide who he was so no one could connect him to Hunter. I’m certain the stress of having to lie to everyone and hide things from them was what led to his dangerously high blood pressure which in turn led to the stroke which nearly took him from me. He’d been working with Adam’s therapist on expressing his feelings and not keeping things bottled up, but he had backslid a couple of times, nothing major, but enough for me to threaten to end things with him if he kept hiding things from me.

Not that I ever would, I love him so much, but I had to do something before his keeping stuff bottled in killed him.

"Does your mom know we’re going to be late?"

"Yeah." I’d called her after our frolic in the shower, she said there was still no sign of Adam and Dwayne.

"So you think next year’ll be better than this year?" Matt asked.

I know it will be when you say ‘I do’. "I’m sure it will."

"I hope so."

"Why? What are you worried about?"

"Nothing."

See what I mean about his keeping things from people?

"No really. What’s wrong?"

"I’m just worried about this weather that’s all."

I knew what he meant, the snowflakes had gotten bigger and heavier since we left the house and we haven’t made onto the highway to my parents’ house yet.

"There’s something else isn’t there?" I ask, trying not to let my own worry about the weather show.

"I don’t want to get into it right now."

I don’t want to push but…

"Does it have something to do with Hunter?"

"In a way."

My hands grip the steering wheel a bit harder. "What?"

"Jessica called. His lawyer’s going to start appealing the sentence after the first of the year."

Great, just what he didn’t need. Hunter is supposed to be serving two life sentences for killing Matt’s mother and his younger brother Christian, who my nephew is named after, not to mention for the other shit he’s pulled on Matt and Adam and pushing their younger brother Jeff to end his life. "Don’t worry," I try to assure him. "There’s no way in hell any sane judge is going to hear him out. Not after they read the testimony transcripts and see Pat’s tape."

Before his passing, Matt’s biological father, Pat Helmsley, otherwise known as Pat Patterson, had made two tapes, one we played at WrestleMania in which he declared Matt was his son and sole heir of the Helmsley fortune and the second one played in court in which he confessed to not only abusing Matt and his brothers, but assisting in the death of Christian and Adam’s rape as well as naming Hunter as the one behind the whole sick scheme of locking them away in an attic for almost five years. Just more nails in Hunter’s coffin.

"You’re right." He says. "I don’t know why I’m giving him another thought."

"That’s right."

BAM!

"What the hell was that?" Matt asked as the car skidded a bit.

I manage to safely pull off the side of the road knowing full well what it could be.

"Stay put," I tell him.

I get out of the car, and see it the second I shut the door.

A flat tire.

"Great," I mutter, opening the door enough for me to poke my head in and tell Matt. "It’s a flat."

"Oh great. Did you bring your cell?"

Damn. "No I left it in its charger on the dresser. You?"

He digs through his pockets and pulls it out. "Fuck it’s dead," he says before laughing.

"What’s so funny?"

"This would have to happen to us. After all the shit we’ve been through this year did we honestly think we were going to get away with sending it out without some drama?"

I had to agree with him.

"Listen, get back in the car and I’ll see if we have a charger in here."

"No I’m going to see if the spare’s in the back."

"Shane it’s freezing out there."

"Just give me a few minutes. Pop the trunk lever, I don’t want to take the keys because I don’t want to leave you without any heat."

He does, allowing me to hear the trunk pop open. I walk to the back and silently begin cursing when I see no spare in sight. I slam the trunk shut and get back into the car.

"No spare?"

I look at him. "What do you think?"

"How did it go flat?"

"It just blew Matt."

"So now what?"

I didn’t know. "I guess we just wait until someone shows up."

He starts laughing again.

"I’m glad you find this so amusing."

"I’m sorry." He starts up again.

"What is so funny?"

He shakes his head but doesn’t tell me anything.

I sigh, pissed that my plans are just about shot as it’s nearing eleven o’clock.

"I’m sorry," he says sobering up. "I’m sorry."

"Not half as sorry as I am."

"Why’s that?"

"I just had something special planned for tonight and if someone doesn’t help us pronto, it’s going to be ruined."

"What could you have planned? I thought we were just going to go to your parents’."

"We are, but it’s while we were there that I had this surprise for you."

"What?"

"Doesn’t matter, it’s shot now."

I just stare out the windshield, which is getting covered with snow while I hear Matt rummaging through the glove compartment for a phone charger. "Well no charger, but I found some gum." He holds the pack out to me.

"Matt that gum has been in there since last New Year’s."

"It’s not opened."

"We can probably break glass with them."

He doesn’t say anything, instead he opens the package and take out a stick.

"You’re not going to chew that are you?"

"Why not? I’m hungry."

"It’s your teeth," I mutter under my breath.

"So what was the surprise you had for me since it’s ruined?" he asks before sliding the stick of gum in his mouth.

I didn’t plan on telling him, since there might be a chance to salvage it, but it came out anyways, "I wanted us to get married tonight."

"Tonight? Don’t you think that’s a little sudden?"

"I didn’t at the time. I just knew I wanted us to get married. The sooner the better."

He sits there thoughtfully chewing his gum. "We could still get married," he offers.

"How?"

"Did you bring the rings?"

"Yeah."

"We could do it here."

"You’re fucking with me?"

"Maybe later."

I look at him. "You want to get married here in the car?"

"Shouldn’t matter where we get married should it?"

"No," I admitted, "but I had this plan we’d get married at my parents’. Chris’s friend was even going to officiate."

"We don’t need to be officiated."

"You’re serious about this?"

He nods.

"And how do you suppose we manage that?"

"Give me the ring." He holds out a hand as he unbuckles his seat belt, twisting himself to face me.

I take the case out of my pocket and hand it to him.

"Now give me your left hand."

"Wait a minute." I undo my seatbelt and move the steering wheel so it didn’t jab into my hip. "Okay." I hand it to him loving the way his hand felt wrapped around mine.

"Okay," he looks at me seriously. "I, Matthew Moore Hardy, take you Shane Brandon McMahon as my lawfully wedded husband, to have and to hold, to love and to cherish, through sickness and health, for better or worse and for the rest of my days." He opened the ring box and took the band out. "With this ring," he slides it on my ring finger. "I thee wed. For now, for always and forever." He looked at me with a smile. "Your turn."

I take his left hand in mine. "You know when I planned this out, I had all these things I wanted to say to you. About how you changed my life the second I saw you on that videotape and how sorry I was for being such an idiot to you in the beginning and how proud I was of you when you and Adam went after Hunter and how scared I was when I thought I could lose you…" I sigh trying to get my composure back. "I had all these things I wanted to say in front of everyone and especially to you." I look at him. "I guess I have."

"I guess you have."

"Okay. Here goes." I look at him now. "I, Shane Brandon McMahon, take you Matthew Moore Hardy as my lawfully wedded husband. To have and to hold, to love and to cherish, through sickness and health, for better or worse and for the rest of my days." I open the box and with shaking hands manage to slide the ring on Matt’s hand. "With this ring, I thee wed. For now, for always and forever."

"I love you," he whispered.

"Not as much as I do you, Dark Angel."

"How about we make this official with a kiss?"

I smile as I lean toward him and kiss him, which is something I could do all night.

And preferably without an audience.

I opened my eyes for a second and through watery glass I could see Dwayne grinning at me from Matt’s side of the car. "What the-?"

Matt pulled back to look behind him. He then looked over my shoulder to see Adam, looking at him with a goofy grin.

We rolled down the window, wincing at the cold air coming in.

"What are you two doing here?"

"You know you two, if you wanted to make out you could’ve just stayed home." Dwayne said.

"Aww but honey, it’s more romantic in a car in near below zero weather," Adam cracked to his husband before laughing.

I got out of the car. "Alright you two slapnuts, what are you doing here?"

"Obviously rescuing my little brother from being ravished by you." Adam cracks again.

"We got to the airport and called your Mom, who was in quite a panic over you two not showing up when you were supposed to and she asked us to stop by the house and make sure that there was nothing wrong." Dwayne explained.

"Then we figured we might as well follow the same route you guys do to get there and lo and behold, here you are." Adam finished before peering in. "How are you feeling Matt?" he then looks at me. "Or didn’t you get that far?"

My husband – though not officially – flipped Adam off before getting out of the car.

"So what was the problem?" Dwayne asked.

"Flat tire."

"Only one flat tire?" Adam said before looking at Dwayne. "Man we got here way ahead of schedule. I thought for sure these two would have popped all of them by now with the way this car was rocking."

"Oh shut the fuck up." I snap trying not to laugh. "Do either of you have a cell phone on you?"

"Jeeze Shane, are you always this grumpy when your foreplay is interrupted?" Adam asked before Matt dragged him back to his and Dwayne’s car.

Dwayne handed me the cell phone allowing me to call a tow truck. "Thanks."

"So what did we interrupt?" Dwayne asked, sliding the phone back in his jacket.

"Something private."

Dwayne nodded knowingly before we walked over to his car. "Listen could you guys take Matt over to the house? I’ll stay here and wait for the tow truck."

"Like hell you will." Matt said. "If you’re staying, then I’m staying."

"Matt, it’s freezing out."

"So?"

"So? You’re not staying out here and catch pneumonia."

"But it’s okay for you to?"

"Matt just do what I say."

"Christ not even married five minutes and already you’re running my life."

"Married?" Adam and Dwayne said in stereo. "What did you two do? Elope?" Dwayne asked.

"No. It’s what we were doing before you rudely interrupted us." I explained about what I had planned and seeing how it was almost midnight now, the plan was ruined.

"So that’s why Chris insisted we get back to the States." Adam said.

"Yeah. Where were you guys anyway?"

"Our flight got delayed because of the storm. We’d left before everyone else did so we could be here." Dwayne explained.

"So you guys got hitched in your car?" Adam asked.

"It’s not official," I look at Matt. "But it was nice."

"I’d better call Linda. Let her know we found you." Dwayne pulled his phone out of his pocket.

"I should’ve known something like this would happen with you two." Adam said. "As if there hasn’t been enough drama in your guys’ lives as there has been."

"That’s what I said." Matt replied.

Adam then looked at me. "You take care of him now. You don’t and I’ll plant you through a wall."

"I know, and I promise." I meant it too.

"Hey guys check your watches." Dwayne said as he hung up the phone.

We did and saw it was about thirty seconds to midnight.

"Wasn’t exactly how I wanted to spend New Year’s Eve, stranded on the highway." I mutter.

"Yeah, but who cares where we spend it." Matt said taking my hand. "As long as we’re not alone." He looks at Adam and Dwayne. "Well you know what I mean. Better with each other than these two."

"Hey," Adam said trying to sound offended, before laughing.

"Okay, twenty seconds and counting."

"I love you," I whisper in Matt’s ear.

"Love you too."

"Ten, nine, eight, seven, six," By now all four of us were counting down. "Five four three two, one! Happy New Year!" We shouted, realizing how silly we looked to anyone passing by us right then.

Adam kissed Dwayne and I kissed Matt.

Matt was right on one thing, it didn’t matter where we were. As long as I had him with me, we could be in a ditch and everything would be right with the world.

"Happy New Year, Mr. McMahon," I whisper in his ear.

"Happy New Year to you too, Mr. McMahon." He kissed me as the tow truck arrived.

We arrived at my parents’ house at around one thirty to find everyone asleep in the living room, including Chris’s friend. Trying not to wake anyone, the four of us tiptoed upstairs and went to our rooms. Saying goodnight to one another, Matt and I slipped into our room.

"They’re going to be pissed at us." He said as he sat on the bed slipping off his shoes.

"Not if we don’t tell them. And not if they don’t see the bands."

"Well I’m not taking mine off."

"Neither am I?"

"So they’ll know."

"So they’ll know." I repeated.

I watched him stand up and begin undressing.

"Let me help you with that," I offer before pulling him into a kiss.

It isn’t long before we’ve removed our tuxedos and were lying on the bed, hungrily trying to devour each other. I undo Matt’s ponytail, letting his hair loose. Looking down at him, I’ve never seen him so handsome and stunning as I do right now.

"Love me," he whispered, a request, not a demand though I wasn’t going to turn him down.

"Always," I whisper back before kissing him. Our lips part, allowing me to roam his body with mine, teasing his nipples until he whined from the pain and leaving a trail with my tongue as I tasted his warm salty skin, my mouth wanting nothing more than to taste that part of him that was begging for release, but I tease him some more, not believing how lucky I am to have met this irresistible creature and make him my husband.

Eventually, when his moans and whines catch my attention, I finally take him in my mouth, never tasting anything as wonderful as him. I reach up and tease his nipples as I suck on him, his gasps and moans music to my ears.

"Please…" I hear him beg. "Don’t stop…please don’t stop."

I try not to smile as I lavish his cock with my mouth’s total devotion, leaving it only for a few seconds to nip and suck his balls, making him buck up before settling down again.

Hearing the whine he gives when he’s about to come, I return his cock to my mouth wanting to catch every drop of him which I do when he comes in my mouth.

"Oh yesss…" he sighs. "Yes…"

When I’m sure he’s through, I slide back up to him and kiss him, the taste of him more wonderful every time I have him.

"I need you in me." He whispers.

"Not tonight lover." I reply. "I didn’t bring any lube with me."

"But…"

"Shhh…" I hold a finger to his lips. "Tomorrow night. I promise. You’ve been too active today as it is. Get some sleep."

I half expected him to fight me on this but he doesn’t and as I lie there watching him close his eyes and fall asleep, his breathing deep and even, I kiss his forehead. This may not have been how I planned it, but when the result was finally making Matt my husband, I didn’t care.

"Happy New Year baby," I whisper before falling asleep myself with my arms wrapped around Matt.
