Hot Import Nights Part 2:  April 8, 2000

Some people go buck wild crazy with their interiors.  But I gotta admit, It looks kinda kewl.

This was a nice and shiny Toyota Celica.

In another room there was luxury cars...this was one of the BMW's.  Along with this car were Porche's, other BMW's, and some other cars.

This was a nice Acura NSX.  I had no idea the engine was in the back of the car, next to the trunk until I saw a few at this car show.

I did expect to see a Lamborghini there...but this was it.  Nice huh?  I got to see the gear box...it was weird.  6-speed, and the reverse was all the way to the left, outside of all the other gears.  I guess that's so you don't accidentally go into reverse.  =]

Uh oh!  What's this?!  A Mitsubishi 3000 GTO!  Check that sword out near the flood lights.  Not to mention the chrome engine.

This car was so tight the owner had to put this thing on a revolving display stand.  It was kewl...I could just stand there and take pictures instead of walking around it.  There's another sword on the ground on the bottom middle of the picture.

And here's the last picture of the GTO, I guess the owner named it Blade since the license plate thing says it.  But there's another sword in the trunk as you can see from the reflection on the trunk top.  Night taillights too.

This was pretty much all the pics I took at Hot Import Nights, unless I didn't wanna scan them cause they would be too hard to fix or they just looked crappy.  There was also a whole lotta other Supra's, NSX's, Civic's, Integra's (only 1 Type-R) and even an older Nissan Skyline!  Encase you didn't know, Skylines are only in Japan and Hong Kong.  That means the person who owned that payed all kinds of money to import that thing all the way over here and had to fix emissions on the car if (s)he drove it around and whatever else they did to fix it up. There were all kinds of cars there though...even the newer VW Beetles and a Mercury Cougar.  I don't know why those were there since they're not imports, but that's alright.  As long as they're not pieces of junk.  I wish I could have taken more pictures, but I only had one of those disposable cameras with me and I ran out of exposures.  Too bad they don't sell film there...they'd make a grip too.  I'm looking forward to my next car show.  I think there's one in Sacramento sometime in October, so that'll be kewl.
