Installed Fog Lights
Whelp the fog lights I bought were installed and I must say they are hella bright! It looks like 2 or 3 times brighter than the headlights. I must say thanks very much to Sum Hong for helping me big time with the wiring of this stuff and for guiding me along the way. Even though he did most of the stuff. :) Very good craftsmanship went into this.
The tools I needed for this project were:
1 1/2' Drive Ratchet
1 1/2" Drive Extension
1 10mm Standard Socket
1 Screwdriver
1 Drill
Drill Bits capable of drilling through steal
1 Center Punch
1 Hammer
White Out (cause I couldn't find chalk)
1 Ruler
Tape
Not much huh? This project took lots of patience though. Expecially drilling through a steal bar right behind the bumper. So here's some pix of what went on in my garage:
Poor car...(no bumper). The wiring is done along with the placement of the brackets by adhesive stuff the lights came with.
We're all done! The only thing left is to put the bumper back on.
Wala! Here's the final product. And I might add...roll your car out of the garage before you start it up...especially if you wanna back into the garage to get out easier or else you'll be sorry! As you can see my headlights are on also and the fog lights outdo them very distinctively.
Well that was my learning experience for that day. It took Sum and I about 5 hours cause we didn't exactly have all the tools with us and we had to keep buying stuff or going places to run errands. We took a lot of breaks too. :) I gotta admit my car doesn't look all that kewl when the lights are off, but at night it looks better than it did. Plus I can see more stuff around. It's kinda kewl...there's a slight blue tint when these bad boys are on. heheheh...what's next now you ask? Probably a new car stereo since my mom said I could have anything I want for my car from my 18th b-day.
