I've been playing guitar for about five years. My first big influence was Dave Matthews, but now my favorite style is jazz. I'm also currently getting into Bach's music, and studying parallel harmony and counterpoint for solo guitar.

Aside from playing guitar, I also play electric bass in a blues/rock band, the Lowriders, and I sing for my school's choir and madrigal group.

Currently, I study jazz guitar with Rick Whitehead who was the guitarist for the Airmen of Note for a long time. In the fall, I'll be attending Shenandoah Conservatory to continue my lessons with him.

Other teachers I've had lessons with include John Bowers (my first teacher, from a local music store), Brian Betz (from Rowan University), and Tom Giacabetti (also from Rowan). I've also taken one lesson on "orchestration" within a combo with saxophonist Tom Strohman.
