From the back cover: Agents Mulder and Scully return to the scene of their first case when a Navy jet crashes into an unidentified aircraft outside Bellefleur, Oregon. Although their investigation fails to turn up any evidence, when Alex Krycek reveals that Cigarette Smoking Man is seeking the same craft, Mulder and Scully return to the crash site where both Mulder and the spacecraft disappear.
Anguished, Scully finds her search for Mulder hampered by Special Agent John Doggett, head of the FBI's search task force. But the Lone Gunmen obtain satellite maps showing unexplained activity in Arizona, where former abductee Gibson Praise lives. Convinced the aliens' next target is Gibson, Scully ans Skinner race to the Arizona desert for one last chance to save Mulder, with Doggett one step behind.
Personal Review:
A MUST HAVE for any X-Phile!! Breathtaking music and outstanding performances! *****
I was very anxious to see 'Requiem'. Especially when you have seen all the other X-Files videos (18 files!) and you just can't wait to see how the story unfolds with the next one. Well, you'll feel rewarded after 'Requiem'! Finally we get some answers and fortunately we are also left in the dark again with more mysteries and questions! There is also the introduction of a new character: Spacial Agent John Doggett. I think many of you thought when you first saw him: 'Mmmmm... I've seen this guy before. Of course! He played that bad liquid Terminator in 'Terminator 2'. He was a giant ass!! Fortunately he perished in some very hot lead!' At least that's what I thought! Is this skeptic Doggett a second Terminator? Are his goals to destroy Scully and Mulder, to terminate them and their work? Does he really want to find Mulder as he so frequently points out? His true goals wo'nt be revealed in 'Requiem', but somehow you feel that Doggett isn't all that bad. In some way he looks even trustworthy. I guess he is an okay guy. Apart from the great story, amazing special effects and beautiful music, there are the outstanding performances of the actors. Especially Gillian Andersons' performance swept me of my feet! She really outdone herself. In general Scully played a very significant part in 'Within'/ 'Without'. That's why there's even a special theme for her, 'Scully', composed by Mark Snow. This theme represents her sadness and emptiness about Mulders disappearance. I must say, the representation works out pretty good!
And if you're not tempted yet to see or buy this video, look at these screenshots. They are very persuasive! LiZ :)
