Myung was born on January 24, 1967 in chicago. while he was still young he
                  moved to New York. This is where he began his musical talent on the violin.

                  The violin suited him well when he began playing it at the age of 5. He was
                  accustomedto listening to classical music and it just came naturally to him. At 15
                  John was asked by a next door neighbor to play the bass for his band. Luckly Myung
                  played the violin his whole life which is also 4-strings, for this reason like the
                  violin the bass was easy for him. Since then he has never played the violin again.

                  Myung is the groups only bass player from the start. He plays some of the most
                  complicated rifs ever. Unfortioately they always have his sound turned kinda low it
                  seems and he never gets the credit he diserves, but trust me he really is awesome.
