John Pretucci was born July 12, 1967 in Long Island, New York. Like other members
                  of the band he was born into a musical family also. His parents didn't play any
                  intruments, but his siblings, all 3 were very musically talented. Although his one
                  siblins did influence him some in playing, the fact all his best friends and neighbors
                  were playing really struck a cord.

                  John first began playing guitar at the age of 12. His skills soon began to sore and he's
                  now one of the best young guitarist... possibly the best now. He contributes monthly
                  to the Guitar Music Magazine and has written many pieces of sheet music of the
                  differnent music he plays.

                  When the album Awake came out he desided to begin experimenting with a 7-string
                  guitar. Thank God he did, his skills have only been improving since he has. He says it
                  helps make his music heavier.

                  A man with his skills cannot be truely enjoyed so I stress you have to pick up the new
                  DVD it really shows his incredible amounts of skill. He moves up and down the entire
                  guitar with exceptional speed and accuracy. He has some of the quickest fingers I have
                  ever seen.
