Choking on Sorrow
Enveloping the skyline, an evil cloud
choking on sorrow, we cannot breathe
a nation of freedom, standing proud
in rubble strewn streets, for peace we grieve

Hideous souls decayed, hate within
terror their gift, unthinkable act
death in their prayers, an un-Godly sin
not just one country, mankind was attacked
Our soil stained with blood, flags at half mast
honoring the innocent, those slaughtered today
there will be no mercy, that time has past
retribution will be had, the guilty will pay

Brought together in pain, the people now stand
while searching for bodies, tears in the dust
the lines now are drawn, protecting this land
this rape of our lives, defiled our trust
Among many nations, a search has begun
finding this evil, the focus of all
our captial attacked, death all around
rising up once again, America stands tall
