So long as he's single

THE two adolescents gazed at the picture of their idol and sighed. "Isn't it lovely," said the Blonde. "Him sprawling across her knee like that."
"Lovely," agreed the Brunette. "You can always tell a gentleman by the way he sits."
The Blonde read the printed story for the fifth time. "He says she's not going to be his wife, but he's got other ideas for her." She went limp at the beauty of the words.
"I wonder what ideas?" inquired the Brunette. "As long as he doesn't marry her!"
The Blonde nodded. "He says she's going to be his personal secretary, and help his mum and dad with the fan-mail, only she won't be starting work yet. She's going to take it easy for a while."
"I thought that's what she'd been doing for the last three weeks - taking it easy with him in the Caribbean."
"Well, maybe she's going to take it easier still," suggested the Blonde. "Anyway, she says it's just an ordinary boy-and-girl affair."
"Yes. It's nice to think all that moonlight and tropical stuff didn't make any difference to them," sighed the Brunette. "I mean, they might have come back wanting to get married, or something."
      "Marriage!" shrieked the Blonde
      "Ugh!" screamed the Brunette.
"Still, as long as she's only his secretary," they sighed together, "we know he's doing the right thing!"
