| With Philip Morris Information system for ASIA, our team looks after the databases for the company for the ASIA region - 50 Oracle instances (300G) on AIX, NT, W2K version 7.3.4 and 8i - 15 SQL Server databases version 6.5 and 7 - SYBASE on Unix AIX. My position is a DBA for both production and development environments. Specific duties include: - Installation of Oracle 8.1.6 and 8.1.7 on Unix (AIX) and NT. Design Set up Sizing for DEV/TEST/PROD. - Migration oracle 7.3.4 to 8I and designer 1.3.2 and 2.1.2 to 6i. - Backup and recovery, I implemented/designed/developed a backup strategy using Control/M, TIVOLI. - Monitoring of database, security, tuning, and performance. - Sizing and space monitoring. - Support / consultant for the development teams. - Maintenance and support for forms 4,4.5 and reports 2.5. - Database installation for software like SIEBEL/DATASTAGE/BO/LIMS. - SQL Server. - Installations version 6.5/7 - Set up/sizing - Monitoring (performance) - I created and maintained backup procedures and implement this functionality across all SQL Server databases to answer to the company requirements. - Validation Schema. - SYBASE – I provided second level support.
