Next to Rose Hill lies Quatre Bornes, mainly a residential town but emerging as a commercial centre. The Orchard Centre and the fair held on Thursdays and Sundays in the city centre attract big crowds. A mountain overlooking Quatre Bornes houses an attractive Tamil temple.
King Dragon is reputed as the upscale restaurant of Quatre Bornes. Other restaurants are namely Happy Valley, Café Dragon Vert, Roll's Steak and seafood House, Chopstick, Café Singapour, le Bon Choix, Spur Steak House, Moghal Mahal and Tannur.
Le Queen's Club and Wheels are the two main nightclubs of Quatre Bornes.
Midway between Quatre Bornes and the neighbouring town of Vacoas lies the plush Continent complex, with the one of two hypermarket of the country but also several shops and restaurants. The Continent situated in Phoenix is indisputably the most popular shopping centre of the country. Phoenix also accommodates the Coca-Cola bottling plant, a brewery, a wine, a glass factory and several garments factories.
The adjoining town of Vacoas harbours a large number of family vegetable and flower gardens. It was in this town with its mild climate that the British chose to establish a garrison. Several of the houses built by the British are still in use. The La Caverne region is home to a maze of caverns that attract Sunday visitors. People from elsewhere travel to Vacoas to enjoy its night-life attractions provided by The Noisy and Friends.
