DEDICATION

            Christa McAuliffe was a teacher who exemplified the essence of teaching: she inspired us to reach for the stars.  Hers was a very real reach, yet it symbolized what teachers hope their students will strive for --to reach for that star that is their unique and unlimited potential.

            The Writing Centers at John Dewey High School and at Brooklyn High School of the Arts were made possible by a grant named in honor of Christa McAuliffe.  They are dedicated to the teaching of writing in the spirit of the inspiration that every student deserves and Christa bravely represented.
