Other Breeds

Over the years, the Maursett Mob has included German Shorthaired Pointers, English Setters and Gordon Setters in addition to our current breeds. 

We were lucky enough to have a separate interest in the Dundabheann affix with Lyn Briggs (of the Lynsett Kennels) for our English Setters.  Zara was bred by Lyn and was a glamorous, but very affectionate English Setter.  She proved to be an exceptionally maternal type, her first litter producing 13 pups.

Dundabheann Moresby JW

Zara's first litter produced Dundabheann Moresby JW, who was shown by Lyn Briggs and who, like his mother, gained his Junior Warrant.

Our daughter, Desme, has always enjoyed shows.  

Desme can be seen here pensively awaiting her turn in the Junior Handling classes at Leeds Championship Show in the 1980s (with our English Setter, Morning Glory from Maursett - Ossie to his friends!).
