Part 21

Shawn sighed quietly as he looked at Sean. He hadn't wanted it to come to this, but he didn't really have a choice anymore. Seemed like today was the day for unloading heavy secrets. When he and Hunter had split, he'd simply told the guys that they had realized they weren't right for each other and that they didn't want to talk about it. Hunter had gone along with his story, though they both knew it was much more than that. Shawn hadn't wanted to make life difficult for Hunter with the rest of the Clique because he really had loved the guy, at least until Hunter had said some things he couldn't just take back.

From that point, he hadn't hated Hunter, but he hadn't really wanted to spend any more time in his company than he'd had to either. Hunter on the other hand had good reasons for keeping his mouth shut. The other three members of the Clique would have handed him his ass...they still might, but Shawn wasn't going to cover for him anymore. The way it sounded every single one of them had been covering up for him or making excuses for him. If they had confronted him on some of the things he'd done, would it have stopped him from turning into the person he was now?

"I know that Hunter and I always kept the details of what happened that night to ourselves, but in light of what's been said here so far today...I think you all deserve to know the truth. I didn't know what Hunter's problem was that night...although after what Sean just said it's pretty clear what was up his ass. When we left the arena that night, he was in a really pissy mood. I thought it was kind of odd since he should have been on top of the world with being the Heavyweight Champ for the first time. We went out, had a few drinks, and his mood steadily got worse. Finally I'd had enough of watching him drown himself with booze so I talked him into going back to the hotel. That was around two in the morning. When we got there, he took the belt out of his bag and just looked at it for about ten minutes, but he looked nowhere near happy."

"Finally it got to me, just sitting there watching him, not saying a word. So I told him that I was really proud of him for winning the belt and I was sure it was just the first time of many. He didn't look at me, just sat there with that irritating smirk on his face while he looked at the belt. After about five minutes more, he looked at me, and the look on his face gave me chills. I could tell he was really pissed off about something, but I still had no clue what it might be. That's when he started yelling at me. I know I just sat there with my mouth wide open wondering what in the hell had set him off. I'm going to paraphrase what he said because, honestly, I've tried to forget most of it. There's some of it that I just can't forget though no matter what I do." Shawn slowly rubbed his hand across his eyes and focused on the floor, his other hand wrapped tightly with Chris'.

"He said that he didn't care if I was proud of him. That he'd had to work long, hard hours to get where he was...that he'd had the talent and finally they had recognized that he had what it took. He said he was World Champion material, unlike some people that hadn't deserved it. He said that the reason he didn't care if I was proud was because I was one of those people. That I had made champion was because I had the pretty boy look and was in the right place at the right time. He said there were only two reasons I got my hands on the belt. The first was that Vince liked the talent I had on my back and the second was that Bret liked pretty boys on their knees...that if I hadn't whored myself out, I would never have gotten the title. Then he said since I still seemed to have whore tendencies, if I wanted to show him my talents again he'd try to get Vince to let me have the title next." Shawn tried to surreptitiously wipe the tears from his face, but it was obvious that he had been crying. He felt Chris' hand squeeze gently around his and looked up at his lover.

"You know none of that's true Shawn. I know it hurts that he said it, but don't let what he said reduce you to tears, Precious. He's just not worth shedding them over." Chris said quietly, then he lifted their twined hands and gently placed a kiss to the back of Shawn's knuckles. Shawn could see that Sean had heard what Chris had said to him and the brunet was vigorously shaking his head in agreement.

Shawn took a deep breath and looked over at Scott and Kevin. They both looked rather livid and he knew he'd better finish his explanation before the explosion or he'd never get it all out. "After he said that last bit, I finally managed to shake off my shock and move. I started throwing my stuff in a bag and I didn't plan to say a word, I just wanted to get out of there. When I started towards the door, he stood up and blocked the doorway. I told him to move and he told me I wasn't going anywhere. He thought I should get down on my knees and show him how much I loved him." Shawn coughed a bit, clearing his throat but hurrying on before anyone could say anything else.

"I told him that at that particular moment I didn't love him and if I ended up down on my knees, he would end up a couple inches shorter in a real sensitive place. He just glared at me. The next thing I knew he had nailed me upside the head with the belt...not hard enough to knock me out, but enough to daze me. We rolled around on the floor for a few minutes, destroyed some furniture, made a lot of noise...finally I got tired of it and nailed him with a knee in the nuts. I rolled him off me and told him that we were through and that if he came near me again I'd hurt him bad enough that he'd get in the ring again. I grabbed my bag and left. I thought about going to stay with Sean, but I called Vince instead and told him I needed some time off. He didn't have a problem with it, so I went to the airport and hopped on the first plane home."

A loud crash drew the eyes of the three sitting together to Kevin and the pile of kindling in the middle of the room that had once been the coffee table. Scott was still sitting on his couch, looking at Kevin with a brow raised. Kevin was unaware of it though as he was glaring at Shawn.

Shawn grimaced comically, trying to lighten the mood. "Ya know, I really liked that table."

Chris caught on quickly to what he was trying to do and decided to add his own two cents. "So did I." He grinned at Shawn and wiggled his eyebrows. "It was a very useful table. That was impressive though Shawn. Not as good as the job I did on your room the other night, but..."

"Enough!" Kevin's roar put an end to any ideas of lightening the mood. "Damn it, Shawn. Why the hell did you let him get away with that? You know we would have..."

"Yeah, Kev. I know what you would have done. That's why I didn't say anything. You all knew that I loved him. Even after what he said I didn't hate him, not really...but I couldn't stand the sight of him either. Just the thought of being around him made me sick to my stomach. He called the next day to apologize. He said he was drunk and that he hadn't meant to say what he said, but never once did he say that he didn't think what he'd said was the truth. I couldn't face him knowing that he actually thought that way about me. Beating the hell out of him wouldn't have changed that. He still would have been there to face and that was something I needed to do on my own. Besides, just because I was pissed at him, it didn't mean you all needed to be too."

A burst of mirthless laughter from Sean drew all the eyes in the room towards him. They all noticed the tears streaming down Sean's face, but not one of them knew what had prompted them. Sean swiped at his eyes and Chris, who had been able to feel the tremors shaking through Sean's body, had pulled one hand from his waist to stroke his arm in comfort. As the choked laughter tapered off to something closer to gasping sobs Chris returned to holding Sean and leaned in to whisper soothingly to him. The others couldn't hear what he said, but they were mostly in shock anyway. Sean just wasn't the kind of guy to break down like that. It took a hell of a lot to crack that bouncy, happy-go-lucky exterior. Each of them unknowingly had the same thought...Sean looked broken. What the hell had they all missed that had led to this?

As Sean finally managed to get himself under control, he nodded slightly as something Chris was saying to him. He lifted his head to look at the other men in the room with a cynical smile. "Christ...sorry about that," he said, his voice scratchy and rough. "Chris was right you know. Every single one of us has been protecting him or covering for him for a long time. There were things we should have called him on, even if it was just amongst ourselves. Maybe if we had beaten the hell out of him a half dozen times it would have stopped him from becoming the power-hungry, controlling bastard that he is now. I don't know..."

Sean paused for a moment and then turned to look at Shawn. "I'm glad you didn't come to my room that night Shawn, because that's the first place he came looking for you and his mood hadn't improved one damn bit, if anything it was worse."

Part 22

"He...Hunter came to your room that night?" Shawn looked downright stunned. "I kind of figured he'd have crawled in a corner to sleep off the booze...and the knee I gave him. Oh shit. He was probably pretty pissed, right?"

"That would be an understatement. I think it was more like...raging bull in a china shop, or rather hotel room in this case. He was pounding on the door so loud I thought he'd wake the entire floor. I opened it, he shoved me into the wall and barreled into the room shouting for you. When I told him you weren't there, he didn't believe me. I don't know if he thought I was hiding you under the bed...or what. Once he actually figured out that you weren't there, he started in on me. He said that if I didn't tell him where you were he'd kick my ass. I figured you two had had some kind of fight, but he didn't mention the fact that you'd dumped him, so I...I didn't take it as seriously as I should have. I told him to calm down...that you would be back after you cooled off and that I hadn't heard from you. If possible, he got even more pissed off and told me that he wasn't going to calm down and you weren't coming back. He started throwing things and I still didn't have a clue what was going on." Sean shifted nervously in his seat and Chris gave him a gentle squeeze of reassurance.

"I told him to calm down again and he grabbed hold of my shirt and started shaking me. He kept asking me where you were and I kept shouting that I didn't know. Finally, I got pissed off and told him I didn't know where you were and I wouldn't tell him if I did. That's when things got...ugly. I didn't see the first punch coming at all. By the time he landed the fourth the only thing keeping me on my feet was his hold on my shirt. After that things get a little blurry in my mind." Sean ignored the stunned looks he was receiving from the others and continued on hoping that no one would interrupt before he was done speaking.

"Judging by the way that I felt when I came to...he'd been tap-dancing on my chest as well. After listening to make sure he wasn't still there I dragged myself to my feet. It was about seven in the morning and my head was still a bit fuzzy. My chest hurt enough I was wondering if I had broken ribs so I thought the smart thing to do would be to get someone to check them out. I knew Glen was on the floor below and I headed out with the intention of going to his room, but as I stumbled out the door, I ran headfirst into Chris." Sean gently ran his fingers of one hand along the arms wrapped tightly around him and craned his back to smile at Chris for a moment before returning his gaze to the other side of the room.

"He drug me back into the room, canceled his flight, and called Glen. Glen had a signing that morning and couldn't stick around but the two of them snuck me out of the hotel and Chris took me to some small-town hospital for x-rays. He had been with the company for less than a month and didn't even really know me, but he stayed with me for three hours until the x-rays were done. Then he stayed with me another nine or so once we got back to the hotel. Ended up my ribs weren't broken but I did have two with hairline fractures. I tried to convince him I'd gotten beaten up in a bar fight, but he didn't buy it, so I told him the truth. I wouldn't let him go confront Hunter though. He didn't need those sorts of problems considering the ones he already had with Hunter, even though he wasn't aware of them then. He's been there on more than one occasion when I needed him. True, I may have been pissed when I heard about what he was doing to Shawn, but I couldn't figure it out. I guess now we know why though, so it's all good at least by me."

Chris couldn't help but blush. Sean had gotten just bit off-topic there, but if that's what he needed to do to get through this... so be it. "Don't worry about it Sean. I don't blame you for feeling that way. You didn't know what was going on and I would have been pissed at me too if I were as close to Shawn as you are. As far as that night," Chris said shrugging slightly, "it's nothing anyone else wouldn't have done. You looked like a truck hit you. I couldn't just leave you there like that."

Scott shook his head, finally able to say something. He would have sounded like his calm rational self to anyone outside their circle, but everyone there could sense the anger lying underneath. "Sean, why would you not tell us about that? Hunter beat the shit out of you and you just let him get away with it? Why?"

"Pretty much for the same reasons Shawn kept things to himself. Hunter was drunk and I knew something was wrong between him and Shawn. Not that that excuses it, but I didn't want to make things worse. I didn't know they had split up, though I still probably would have protected him from your wrath. Like we always say...that's what we do, protect each other. Looking back on it, it was the wrong thing to do, but you can't change what you've done in the past. There are other things you all need to know about. That wasn't the only time something like that happened." Sean paused with a faraway look in his eye for just a moment. "He did actually apologize for it later that day...said he was drunk, lost control, it wouldn't happen again, etc. So I let it slide. The problem was I kept on letting things slide when I shouldn't have."

"For the next seven months after that night, Hunter was either really happy or extremely pissed off. There was no middle ground. The happy times were when he managed to get the title back after losing it, reforming DX on TV, the formation of the McMahon-Helmsley Era." Sean rolled his eyes slightly. "Of course there were the pissed off times as well...losing the title, me feuding with Glen. He went psycho with little provocation. He'd backhand me sometimes and then blame it on his temper or his frustration. He usually apologized right away so I let that go too. He was also on a huge power trip. I caught him a couple of times in the locker room with...different people. I don't think they were always there completely voluntarily. Hunter would make weird comments about them like if they knew what was good for their careers they'd shut up and do what he wanted them to do."

"We had kept separate rooms, which was fine with me. He'd show up every so often looking for a quick fuck, which was fine with me as well. I'm a guy...hello. Then about the sixth month into the seven, I...I started seeing someone and I didn't tell him about it. The night I did the spot with Glen and the flame-thrower, I went to check on him afterwards. He ended up with a few superficial burns and I was a little upset about it. We got to talking and we both admitted that even though we were close friends there was a bit more going on there. So we decided to see where things went. Knowing how Hunter already felt about Glen I wasn't about to tell him we were seeing each other in any way, but a professional one. I explained to Glen about our relationship, the five of us, and he was cool with it. Although he really didn't want me around Hunter for obvious reasons, he had no problem with my relationship with the rest of you. I thought I'd finally found that one person that was meant for me...like you and Kev." Sean looked at Scott and smiled.

"You were with Glen and you never told any of us? Sean...we would have supported you on it. Glen is a nice guy." Kevin seemed puzzled as to why Sean had felt he had to keep it from them.

"I couldn't tell you guys, Kev. Hunter had already made it clear how he felt about Glen. Regardless of how you all felt about him, if it had gotten back to Hunter he would have made Glen suffer for it. I love you guys, but sometimes you just can't keep things quiet Kevin." Sean smiled as Kevin growled at him. "Don't even go there, you know it's the truth. Besides, we wanted to keep things just between the two of us for awhile. A new relationship is hard to start at any time, but it's worse when you have four self-appointed big brothers that have to scope the guy out. Then there is that whole 'all of us fucking each other silly' thing. I tried to avoid Hunter at night at least for awhile so I could concentrate on Glen. Sometimes it worked, sometimes it didn't. Not too long after that I started tagging with Jesse. He figured out what was going on pretty quickly with Glen always hanging around and he helped cover for us. I felt kind of bad for putting him in that position, but it made things so much easier for us."

"It was around this time that Hunter found out Vince was close to getting Shawn to come back. He seemed happy about it, yet at the same time his temper grew shorter. I heard him talking with that twit Brisco one night and he said that he was going to take measures to make sure that when Shawn came back he wouldn't want to go looking for that 'pretty little bitch'. He was determined to get Shawn back no matter what he had to do to make it happen. I wasn't sure what he had planned. It didn't dawn on me until I saw him talking to Chris one night when they were scheduled for a match. I stood as close to them as I could without being obvious and Hunter shocked the hell out of me because he asked Chris to head out with him after the show for drinks. The thing that didn't shock me was Chris blowing him off. Hunter acted like it was no big deal, but as soon as Chris walked away from him, Hunter headed towards Vince's office. From what I heard, Chris got the addendum to his match for the show about fifteen minutes before show time. That was the night Chris won the title and it was reversed, then stricken from the records. It was all to try to humiliate him...at least from what I could figure out." Sean had felt Chris stiffen behind him and he knew there was a question there, so he waited for it.

"He set that all up because I wouldn't go out partying with him? Christ he's fucked up. Bastard." It was obvious Chris was seething, but Sean knew it was going to get even worse once he revealed what else he knew.

"Yeah he was...is fucked up. That was the second night he laid into me, though not as bad as the first. I went to see Glen afterwards and had to hold him back from going after Hunter. The reason he was so pissed off Chris...it wasn't that you wouldn't go out partying with him, he was asking you out, you know, like on a date."

"What the fuck? I'm sorry that he took it out on you Sean. He never asked me out on a date...at least not in any way that I would have recognized it as being one. If I had known that was what he was asking, I still would have said no." Chris' tone ran a gamut of emotions going from furious to puzzled to amused. Sean couldn't help but laugh over the rapid change.

"Oh he was thinking of a date all right, though I found out later it wasn't because of any real interest in you...at least relationship-wise. Do you remember what happened the next week, Chris? Hunter and I ran into you in the hall. He once again asked you to go out after the show for a few drinks. Hell, I was stunned he'd asked right in front of me. You made some excuse. I don't even remember what it was...but I could tell just standing there that Hunter was pissed off, despite the smile he left with on his face. That night turned out to be Raw is Jericho. You remember? Three matches in one night...you lost the IC Title due to the special guest referee, our very own Hunter."

"Yeah. I remember. I thought I'd managed to piss Vince off somehow and he was making me work my ass off for it. Let me guess...Hunter at work again?"

"Nice guess. I always did think you were a smart guy. Are you sure that blond is natural?" Sean yelped from the tight squeeze that Chris gave him in retaliation. "Easy. I was just kidding. Anyway...getting to the point, I heard Hunter talking to Bull Buchanan later that night. He said something about you not falling in with his plans. He told Bull that since he couldn't get you to go anywhere with him there was no way he was going to be able to get you drunk and into his bed."

"Whoa! Hold up! Why in the hell would he want me in his bed in the first..." Chris trailed off taking less than a second or two to come up with the right answer. "He was going to make sure that everyone found out about it, but most importantly that Shawn found out about it...right?"

"Pretty much. He was still convinced that you were the reason Shawn left him. He figured if he could make you out to be some sort of Robo-whore then Shawn wouldn't want anything to do with you and would come running right back to him. Since you wouldn't fall in with his plans he more or less decided to try burying your career instead. I tried to counteract it as best I could with Vince, especially after what you did for me the night you took me to the hospital. I couldn't just come out and tell you what he had planned though Chris. There was still the whole silence issue since it concerned Hunter. I'm sorry I didn't tell you now."

"That was the night that you called me, wasn't it?" Chris' voice though quiet was clearly audible to everyone in the room. "Did he...was it because I told him I wouldn't go with him?"

Shawn wasn't sure what Chris was talking about, but he was pretty sure he wasn't going to like whatever it was. He looked at Scott and saw a simmering anger in the other man's eyes. Kevin looked frozen in place while they all waited to hear what Sean was going to say.

"Yeah that was the night, but I don't think it had anything to do with you. Hunter just likes it a little rough sometimes. Usually he reserves that kind of thing for Kev or Scott because they like that sort of thing more than I do. Not that I don't ever, but I have to be in a certain frame of mind to really enjoy it. I think that night was just a mix of things. Him being drunk and me trying to hurry him through it didn't help. Don't even think of letting yourself take any of the blame for it." Sean missed the look of sadness on Chris' face, but he knew when the blond man buried his face in his neck that he would blame himself at least a little bit. The others were looking at him, obviously wanting to know what they were talking about. Best to get it over with and let the shit hit the fan, then maybe he could get their help to convince Chris that he was blameless for what had happened.

His voice a bit uneven Sean started to tell them about the events of that night. "Hunter showed up at my room that night. I'd had a few things to do before I planned to meet Glen and ended up in the room later than I'd planned. When Hunter showed up he was...beyond drunk. I let him in and he jumped on the bed and asked if I was 'up for it'. I...wasn't really, but I figured the quickest way to get rid of him would be to go ahead and give in. He had been in the habit of leaving right after and the way he was acting it wouldn't take long. So I went along with it." Sean paused for a moment and took a deep breath so he could finish the rest in a rush.

"He wasn't much for foreplay that night and kind of skimmed through the prep so I knew he was in one of those moods. It was hard and fast enough that it made me squirm a few times. I got off, but it certainly wasn't the best I'd ever had. There were bruises on my wrists because he was holding them so tight and I was pretty damn sore after he left. Knowing there was no way I was going to be able to go see Glen in the condition I was in I called him and told him I was sick. I called Chris because I needed to soak in the tub for awhile and I knew he wouldn't judge me when he found out what had happened. I wasn't sure I could make it to the bathroom without crawling and that would have just aggravated the situation. Chris came and helped me that night. I was walking funny for about 3 days and I had to avoid Glen the entire time. He'd have flat out killed Hunter if he knew he'd been that rough with me and I wouldn't have been able to out-argue him about that."

"He shouldn't have been that rough with you Sean." Kevin was back to growling again though Shawn and Scott looked a little relieved.

"Oh give over Kev. It's not like you have never left me sore after we've been together."

"Not for three damn days Sean! Don't you think he went a little overboard?"

"Yes, I do, but it's not like I tried to stop him. I was in a hurry to get him out of there so I just went with it. I wasn't even really pissed off at Hunter for it except for the fact that I had to lie to Glen about it and then avoid seeing him. Besides, that was nothing compared to what happened the following week."

Part 23

"And that was...?" Scott asked quietly when it appeared as though Sean wasn't going to say anything else.

Sean turned to Scott looking slightly startled as if he'd forgotten there were others in the room. "That was the night that Shawn came back...to announce that he was resigning as Commissioner in favor of becoming the official spokesperson for the fed. Hunter and I were walking through the halls early during the show and we happened to see Shawn talking to Chris. This was after Chris' match and Shawn had come back after supposedly taking off in the limo. Hunter was pretty ticked off that they were talking and went to toss a few things around in the dressing room."

Sean turned a bit to look at Shawn as he started the next part of his story. "I don't know if Shawn remembers at all, but we caught up to him just before the Benoit/Rock match. Hunter asked Shawn if they could get together to talk and I walked away to give them some privacy. Apparently Shawn told Hunter that he had plans for later that night."

Shawn bit his lower lip lightly then gave Sean a half-smile before answering him. "When I left I didn't want to talk to Hunter at all. He called me every day for six weeks after that and left the same message on my machine. That he was sorry he'd said what he had...that he hadn't meant to say it. I finally got tired of it, so when he called the next time I told him I didn't want to talk to him. I told him if he called again I'd take off so no one could find me. I wouldn't have actually done it, but it seemed to work as far as threats go. I told him he'd have to wait until I came back, then if he wanted to talk we would see where we stood. It took almost nine months before I finally let Vince convince me to come back and do a show. When he asked to talk that night I just wasn't ready...so I told him I had plans. I actually spent that night in my hotel room by myself."

"Well Hunter assumed for some reason that your plans included Chris." Shawn was clearly startled by this information. He was looking at Sean, his eyes wide and his mouth hanging open.

"Why would he just assume that? Because I was talking to Chris at some point earlier in the night? If I remember correctly, I talked to him for all of three minutes to tell him he'd done well with the three matches the week before. Chris was pretty ticked off because Benoit interfered in his match so he didn't stick around to talk very long."

"I don't know Shawn." Sean said with a shrug. "All I know is that he said you blew him off for Chris. He was swearing a blue streak all the way to the curtain and then he went out to help Benoit. Chris came out a minute or two later to help Rock. Chris put Hunter in the 'Walls' while they were out there. When we got back to the locker room Hunter was livid. He swore that he was going to bury Chris' career because he kept sticking his nose in where he shouldn't. I thought I'd managed to calm him down before we left the arena for the hotel, but apparently I was wrong..." Sean said quietly and then he seemed to draw into himself for a moment.

The others waited and Chris, knowing what was coming next, gently squeezed Sean in support. Chris found that he needed the contact himself as well. His head was whirling with what Sean had just said. He'd had no clue that he had been part of the reason for Hunter's anger that night, but he did know what the end result had been. He felt more than partially responsible for what had happened even if he'd had no clue what was going on. Maybe if he hadn't talked to Shawn that night or maybe if he hadn't went out and put Hunter in the "Walls" things would have been different. Realizing that Sean still hadn't spoken, Chris leaned in and whispered in his ear, "You okay?"

Sean shook his head and seemed to curl into himself. "I don't think I can...can you...can you tell them, please?"

Chris didn't really want to be the one to explain this, but Sean was asking for his help. Maybe if he could do this for Sean it would assuage some of the guilt he was feeling even though he knew he wasn't to blame. "Yeah. If that's what you want." Sean nodded slowly and Chris held him a bit tighter once more as he started to tell the others what he knew of that night.

"Sean called me that night at about 3 a.m. I wasn't even sure who it was at first because I could barely hear him when he spoke. All I could hear was someone saying 'help me' over and over. I told him that I would be glad to help if he would tell me who he was and where he was at. Then he said 'It's Sean. Room 202' and that was it before he hung up. So I ran down to room 202 and by some miracle the door was unlocked. When I walked through the door, I wasn't sure what I was going to find so I walked in really slowly. From just inside the door I could see a big reddish-brown streak in the middle of the carpet. I thought that maybe someone had spilled something until I noticed the bright red spots dotting the carpet right in front of me. I turned and looked into the bathroom and Sean was lying in there on the tile floor on his stomach." Chris shuddered slightly as he remembered the scene in his head. At first he'd thought Sean was dead because he was so still. Every once in awhile after that night he'd had dreams about finding Sean lying there, but thankfully they'd faded after time.

Chris took a deep breath and continued on. "I went in and turned him over and he was barely conscious. His...his face was covered in blood and it was smeared on the tile where he'd been laying. I thought there was a spot under his shirt that was bleeding as well, but I wasn't sure because it could have been from the broken nose or the cut on his scalp. I wanted to call for an ambulance but he wouldn't let me. He refused to even consider going to the hospital and I thought about just picking him up and taking him anyway, but I didn't want to break his trust in case...in case he ever needed to call me again. So I washed his face, which was swollen in spots and starting to show a few bruises, then checked to see if he needed stitches. I thought that maybe he should have them but I wanted to make sure there wasn't anything else I needed to worry about first so I checked for other injuries. He had a shallow cut on his chest underneath his shirt but the bleeding seemed to be close to stopping. There were... bruises already starting to show...some a deep purplish color and others that were only a bright red at that point."

Sean whimpered quietly and Chris realized that he'd unconsciously tightened his arms around him to the point of being painful. "Sorry Sean."

"'S okay." Sean whispered quietly and shifted a bit to get comfortable again.

"He had bruises on his hips and legs as well in varying shades. I got him cleaned up the best I could and helped him out to the bed. I ended up calling one of the trainers to do the stitches since he still refused to go to the hospital. It took eight stitches to close the cut along his hairline. He told me Hunter had been drinking and went off on him. He wasn't sure why. Apparently he knocked him out and left him laying on the carpet for awhile which accounted for the big stain. Then when he came to, Hunter started in on him again before storming out of the room and leaving him there. He managed to crawl over to the phone and call me, then drag himself to the bathroom before he collapsed again. There was blood splattered all over the walls and the comforter. I stayed an extra two days in Cleveland until he could get up and move enough on his own to get on a plane. I tried to talk him into speaking to Vince about it, but he wouldn't. That's all I know."

"Christ, Sean. Why didn't you call me? You know I would have come to help you." Shawn was clearly bewildered as to why Sean would call Chris instead of him.

"You had told Hunter you had plans. I didn't think you would be in your room...and I was pretty sure you weren't with Chris. He was really pissed off that night and he likes to be alone when he's angry. Although looking back on it now I'm not sure he wouldn't have accepted an invitation if you'd extended one." Sean said with a cocky grin. It was obvious that he'd managed to slip behind his hyperactive mask again. Chris wasn't sure if that was a good thing or a bad thing, but as long as Sean made it through Chris wasn't going to question it.

"It was safe to call Chris. Glen was already gone because he had a promotional appearance the next day. I wouldn't have called him anyway, because as soon as he figured out I was all right he would have gone and killed Hunter. I wouldn't have called you anyway Shawn. It would have just started a fight with you and Hunter and I didn't want to be the cause of that. That was the whole reason he hit me to begin with...because I wouldn't call you."

"Why did he want you to call me? I don't understand, Sean."

"He knew if he called you that you wouldn't change your mind. He wanted me to call because he thought if I called and asked to see you, that you'd change your plans and show up at my door. I told him no because I didn't want to be a part of trying to manipulate you. He didn't like my answer."

"I would have, you know. If you'd called and wanted to see me, I would have been there right away. You should have just called me Sean. It wasn't worth you going through that."

"I didn't know he was going to do that Shawn, but it wouldn't have mattered. I wasn't going to let him use me to get to you. He had started drinking Tequila as soon as we got back to the room. I was pretty sure if you showed up, that you two were going to fight. I tried to talk him into waiting until the next show. You know what he's like when he's been drinking that shit. Even if you were there, the two of us wouldn't have been able to take him down." Shawn nodded in acknowledgment. When Hunter was drinking hard liquor he could get pretty damn mean. If Kevin could barely handle him at those times, then the two of them wouldn't have had much of a chance.

"He insisted I call you and when I refused he belted me. I thought the smart thing to do would be to get out of there and let him take it out on the room, expensive but less painful. Except I didn't make it to the door. He grabbed me by the hair and that was the last thing I was conscious of for an hour or so. I woke up on the floor with him standing over me. He asked me again if I would call you and I said no. I'm pretty sure the cut on my forehead was there from the first round because of all the blood that was on the floor, but he reopened it or made it worse when he kicked me the second time around. He kicked me a few more times and then he left. I called Chris and then made it into the bathroom before I passed out."

Sean and Chris watched as Kevin stood up and walked over to the phone. "Kev? What are you doing?" Sean was seriously confused as to why he was going to make a phone call at that particular moment. Especially since he still had a bit more to tell them.

"Calling the airlines."

Sean's eyes widened considerably. "I know where you are probably going, but it won't do any good Kev. He won't care."

"Maybe, maybe not. It'll make me feel better though once he's in traction." The fact that Kevin spoke with no inflection at all was just a little bit scary. Chris would almost be happier if he was yelling. He knew how to deal with 'irate screaming Kevin', but 'calm seemingly cool I'm going to beat someone until they can't move and enjoy every minute of it Kevin' was a whole other story.

"Kev...can you at least wait until we get everything out in the open before you go flying off?" Sean said quietly. That at least seemed to grab his attention.

Kevin turned to look at him, his eyes wide. "You mean there's more yet? Beating the hell out of you wasn't enough?"

"Look Kev...yes I was pissed off about that, but that was nothing really. Sure there was the physical pain and the whole betrayal issue, but that's nothing compared to the fact that he messed with my relationship with Glen. Hell I'd love to kick the shit out of him for that alone. That hurt me more than any beating he could have given me. Because of him I lost someone that meant the world to me. That is why I stopped talking to him...it wasn't because he hit me." Sean looked at Kevin, his eyes pleading for the big man to wait until they were done talking.

Kevin nodded and went to sit back down. "Okay Sean. We'll do it your way. I might as well hear the rest of it before I go and beat his ass black and blue."

Shawn rolled his eyes knowing that he'd have to take issue with that later, but first he needed to ask Sean about something that was bugging him about Sean's assault. "Sean, before you get into that...I was there for a pay per view the Sunday following...that night. How did I not notice that you were beat to hell?"

"Probably because Tori is really good with body makeup and I was kind of hiding from you until after my match. I figured I could blame it on the Dudleys if I needed to. You couldn't see the stitches because they were buried under my hair. Then after the match I came back to the locker room and you and Hunter were fighting. So I hid out until the pay per view was over and then I went back to Jesse's room with him for the night. I didn't want to risk him going off on me again that soon. That kind of became habit. Jesse played alibi for me a whole hell of a lot. Most importantly I made sure he wouldn't find out about Glen."

"Things went well after that. Hunter was too busy with other things for awhile. Then I got hurt and was out for three months. I was almost happy about it because Glen came to visit me at home as often as he could and we didn't have to deal with Hunter. I was feuding with Chris when I came back and between Chris and Justin they had me covered for whenever I was with Glen. That's another thing I owe Chris for." Sean smiled over his shoulder at Chris. "Not too long after I came back Hunter tore his quad. The time he was out was the happiest time I had during my entire tenure with the fed. It wasn't real smart I suppose, but Glen and I were a little less careful about being seen together. That turned out to be a big mistake, because when Hunter came back he must have heard rumors about us. He never said anything to me about it, so I thought I was safe. Damn was I wrong."

"That was about the time you guys came back as the nWo. It made things simpler. You guys kept Hunter out of my hair because he was spending all his time with you and I made excuses to be somewhere else. I didn't like lying about it, but I didn't see any other choice. Then came the roster split. I was happy that Hunter ended up on Smackdown. I felt bad for feeling that way, but I thought it would be so much easier without him looking over my shoulder the whole time. The only problem is that he already knew. The final Smackdown before the roster split is when Hunter must have decided he'd had enough of me sneaking around behind his back."

"That was the night we wrestled Glen, Rock, and Hogan. I fought so hard not to laugh in front of you guys when Glen did his Hogan and Rock impersonations. After our match I went to the locker room and changed and then I headed off to Glen's to see him for a few minutes figuring no one would miss me. Only when I got there I got a surprise instead...Rob Van Dam sprawled naked across one of the benches. I got pissed off and let my mouth run. About that time Glen walked back into the room from the showers and I leveled him with a few nasty comments as well. He stood there and tried to tell me he didn't know what was going on, but I wouldn't listen. I told him we were through and then I left."

"And you think Hunter set it up with Rob?" Scott asked quietly. He was more than ready for whatever Sean was about to tell them. At this point there were very few things he would believe Hunter incapable of doing to get what he wanted.

"I don't think...I know. Kev got suspended on the show the next week to cover the time he needed off for his bicep injury. We did the spot where I took Kane's mask because it had already been planned and Vince insisted. Glen tried to talk to me again that week, but I refused to even listen. That weekend he tore his bicep too. He was going to be gone for four months and all I could think was 'thank god I won't have to see him.' Less than two months later I found out something that made me wish I had listened to Glen all along. You see I happened to hear Benoit talking to RVD one night. Seems Rob was pissed off because Hunter had something on him and Hunter had used it to make him do a few things he was very unhappy about...one of those being pretending that he was fucking Glen. That's when I realized it was all Hunter's plan. He fucking blackmailed Rob so that he could split us up. I know I'm just as much to blame for not trusting Glen, but if he had kept his nose out of things it wouldn't have been an issue."

"Scott had been fired two weeks before that so Kev...you were completely out of it. I wasn't going to burden you with what I found out. Shawn came back the next week. I was happy to see him, but I didn't want to lay all this on him when he'd just come back. I tried to call Glen and apologize, but he was too pissed off to listen to me. I didn't even get to explain about Rob. About a month after all this happened was when Kev tore his quad and they dissolved the nWo. Vince said they didn't have much planned for me and I was too miserable to give a shit so I asked for my release. I wanted to get myself back together. It didn't work so well for the first seven or eight months...as you all well know. I'm pretty sure that's why Shawn went to see Hunter the night Chris delivered his letter. And so we come full circle to where this tale began."

"Well...not quite." Chris really hated to do this, but apparently there were a few more things he still needed to tell them. Some good, some bad. He just hoped that for Sean the good would outweigh the bad. "There are a few more things I need to tell you about. On Smackdown the week before Shawn came back Hunter was really pissed. He lost his match to Test of all people and then Mark leveled him with a pretty nasty chair-shot. I think Glen may have told him a bit about what had been going on with Sean and what Hunter had done to him in the past because Mark seemed to hit him stiff a lot back then for no apparent reason. Anyway the point is...One of my friends and I happened to hear him having a rather loud discussion with Vince that night. He told Vince that wanted 'the other two' gone and if Vince didn't take care of it then he would take care of it himself by any means necessary. He said he didn't want 'them' in the way and if he had to he'd have 'them' taken out. He also reminded Vince that he wouldn't want his little secret getting out. So apparently Rob wasn't the only blackmail victim."

"We thought maybe he meant Test and Mark, but when Vince answered, he cleared it up for us. He said that he'd try telling Sean they didn't have anything with creative for him right then and see if he could talk Sean into leaving. Apparently it worked but only because Sean was already miserable. Vince also said it would take longer to get rid of the other one because they needed him for stuff they already had set up. So I'm guessing if Kev here hadn't torn his quad, he would have been dispensable as well. With Kev out injured he wasn't really a threat at the time. I also know that Vince didn't offer to renew your contract when it came due. I don't know for sure if that's because of Hunter or because of your surgery status, but I wouldn't rule either option out."

"So not only did Hunter ruin my relationship, but he planned on tanking my career as well if I hadn't left on my own? Who the hell needs enemies when I have such a great friend? Shooting me would have been a whole hell of a lot less painful." Sean was clearly pissed off about this little piece of news, but he didn't seem too surprised. Chris figured he was going to handle it okay after all. Which should make the good news all the better, he hoped.

"I can't believe he got this out of control without us noticing. Hell I knew he was mercenary, but I thought that maybe he'd draw the line at taking his friends out along the way. He's lied to us and manipulated us all for years and we were all blind to it. Fuck. He was the first one to tout the old "we're not just friends, we're family" line whenever we were questioned about defending each other. Apparently that only fucking applies when it comes to us defending him. Tell me again why I'm not on my way to beat his ass right now?" Kevin's moods seemed to deviate rather swiftly. He sounded tired now and quite emotionally worn.

"Maybe because Sean's right, Kev. Beating him won't do any good. That's why Chris and I came up with a plan of sorts. Physical pain isn't going to hurt him, but taking away the things he wants, making sure he can't get them back...that's the only thing that's going to get through to him. Obviously I was one of the things that he wanted, unfortunately for him I’m now off the market...at least I believe so," Shawn said with a smile as he looked at Chris.

"You know so...unless you've changed your mind?" Chris wasn't really worried about it because he was sure of Shawn's affections, but he still felt the need to clarify it.

"No way am I changing my mind...so I guess you are stuck with me." Shawn grinned brightly and then turned back to Kevin. "He was obviously trying to be careful with his plans so that he still had all of you to fall back on in case he gets in trouble. If you all cut ties with him then when the rest of the plan goes into effect he won't have anywhere to turn. All you have to do is not answer the phone if he calls. That should be hint enough. Then we find a way to take the title from him. I want to hold off on letting him know about Chris and I until after the title is gone. It will be safer for Chris that way. Then once Hunter's lost everything he's valued so much, maybe it will be a wake up call for him. If not, then you can beat the hell out of him and see if that clears things up for him. I wouldn't count on it though. So what do you say? Give us a chance to take him down a peg or two first?"

"I agree with Shawn. Hunter's not going to care about anything until he hits rock bottom," Scott said with a shrug. When he heard the groans and noticed the accompanying eye rolls, he sighed. "I didn't mean it literally, you idiots. I'm assuming the plan is to take the title at New Year's Revolution?"

"Yeah. That's the plan. Along with Chris, I'm pretty sure three of the other four guys will be on our side with this. Dave's the only wildcard and we're hoping to get him on our side too. We're going to lay the groundwork at Raw this Monday. If Dave won't agree, we'll just have to try to take him out of the equation." Shawn knew the odds were on their side, but he still wasn't sure which way Dave would lean. They wouldn't find out until they talked to him though so it was useless to speculate.

While Shawn was laying out the plan for Scott and Kevin, Chris decided to fill Sean in on the rest of what he had to say. He'd decided that maybe he should tell Sean and let him decide what to do with the news rather than announce it in front of the whole group. While the others were distracted he leaned in and whispered quietly in Sean's ear.

"Sean, I know you think things are hopeless with Glen, but I think you should call him," Chris said quietly while rubbing a soothing hand against Sean's stomach.

"It wouldn't do any good Chris. He wouldn't even listen to me when I tried the last time. I just have to face it...I lost him." Chris couldn't stand the pain lacing Sean's voice... it was heartbreaking.

"After Glen came back, I talked to him about what happened."

"You knew?" Sean shouldn't have been surprised. It seemed as if Chris knew a lot of things he hadn't expected him to know.

"Yeah. Benoit told me. He's a good friend. The point is...I talked to Glen. He said he wished he'd listened to you when you called. He was still too hurt because you didn’t believe him. Once I explained things he understood where you were coming from though. He still talks about you a lot...at least to me. I think if you called him, he might be willing to talk. Is it worth a chance to get him back?"

"Of course he's worth it." Sean said a bit indignantly as if Chris should never have questioned it.

Chris pulled out his cell phone and handed it to Sean. "He's number five on the speed dial. Go make that call...and take your time. Just be honest with him Sean."

Sean turned and flung himself at Chris, at least as much as he was able to with Chris sitting down. "Thanks," he whispered in the other man's ear before pulling away. His bouncy movements finally drew the attention of Shawn, Scott, and Kevin who were looking at him rather oddly. He smiled shyly as he backed towards the door to the room. "I've got a phone call to make that's way past due. I'll be back in awhile."

"Now where is he going?" Kevin asked bemusedly.

Scott smacked Kevin in the arm while smiling indulgently at him. "I'd say he's going to get his heart back."

"What?" Kevin asked, still clearly out of the loop.

"Sheesh, Chico. He's going to call Glen, you big blond assclown."

"Gimmick infringement!" Shawn and Chris shouted simultaneously before they both started laughing.

"Scott? Please never, ever use that word in my presence again." Kevin said with a shudder, which prompted more laughter from Chris and Shawn. "So, since we have all the nasty stuff out of the way now does that mean we can get back to the fun stuff?" Kevin asked while wiggling his brows.

"Is that all he ever thinks about?" Chris asked, only half facetiously.

Shawn and Scott looked at each other then back to Chris. "Yes." They said in stereo before all three of them started laughing.

"Aww hell. It's gonna be pick on Kevin day again, isn't it?" Kevin scowled at the other three who seemed to find his question highly amusing.

"Of course it is Kev." Scott said as he reached over and pinched the big man's cheeks. "It's what we all live for."

Part 24 "Soft? I look soft?" Scott stood up and patted his stomach. "Chris, I think you'd better move." Chris didn't blink twice before jumping up from his spot on the couch next to Shawn. As soon as Chris moved, Scott pounced on Shawn, knocking him flat to his back on the couch with Scott draped on top of him.

"Scott, what are you doing?" Shawn sounded completely calm, belying the situation he now found himself in.

"I'm going to prove to you, Chico, that I'm not in the least bit soft...anywhere."

"I don't know Scott," Shawn said as he poked Scott's middle with his index finger. "Feels pretty squishy to me." The quickness he showed in the ring made an appearance as Shawn thrust his hips upward with his feet against the cushions just hard enough to dislodge Scott and roll them both to the floor with Shawn on top of Scott. Shawn quickly pinned Scott's hands to the floor and swooped in to kiss the breath right out of him.

Chris grinned and dropped to the floor beside them, slowly tapping out a three count. Kevin laughed as the two continued kissing, oblivious to what Chris had done and to the fact that he was now laying beside them with his head propped on his hand staring with undisguised appreciation.

As Shawn pulled back, finally breaking the kiss, he bit his lip gently and shook his head. "I take it back. You're definitely not soft anywhere, but your ring skills really suck." He grinned unrepentantly as he ground his hips between Scott's open thighs.

Kevin and Chris laughed while Scott moaned and stared heatedly up at Shawn. "Maybe so, but I don't think Vince would be too enamored of your newest pinning combination. You might be able to kiss them into submission, but I don't think that would fly either."

"That's okay though Scott, because the only one in our fed that I'd want to kiss into submission is right here beside us." Shawn turned to Chris and winked. Chris was feeling a bit more playful now that all the drama was over, at least he hoped so. Puckering his lips, he made kissing noises at Shawn.

"Now that's just nauseating," Kevin groaned.

"Oh hush, Kev. You're just saying that because he's not making those noises for you," Shawn laughed. "Besides, I figured it was time to pick on Scott instead of you for a change."

"I can't blame Scott. If I had a sexy blond sprawled all over me and kissing the daylights out of me, I wouldn't be in a hurry to toss him off either," Kevin said with a wolfish grin.

"Hey, I'm not stupid," Scott said with a smile.

Chris was feeling quite a bit more comfortable with Kevin, Scott, and Sean. He was amazed by how easily he seemed to fit right into their little group. Not that he didn't have his own group of friends, but it was nice that he could get along with Shawn's friends as well. It would definitely make it easier on his relationship with Shawn if he got along well with Shawn's friends, not to mention that he was starting to feel a genuine affection for the three of them. He had a feeling that if he needed someone to help him out, he would have three new friends that would volunteer that help without question. The fact that he felt that way and his love for Shawn gave him the confidence to voice the thoughts he'd been having since Scott jumped on Shawn.

"Hey Shawn. You remember that conversation we had about the couch yesterday? I...uh, I think maybe a bigger bunny and the floor would be just as nice a picture." He knew that Kevin and Scott wouldn't have a clue what he was talking about, but he was blushing horribly just the same. Wasn't it a bit strange to actually want to see his lover with someone else? Chris couldn't explain why, but it just felt right and he wanted Shawn to know that he felt that way.

Shawn licked his lips slowly and tried to process what Chris had just said. Chris wanted to watch him with Scott. Even after their discussion yesterday, he hadn't expected Chris to want to just watch him with one of the others. Not that he minded at all, in fact his pulse was racing at the thought of Chris watching him with Scott. It also brought back a few thoughts of his own that he'd had about Kev and Chris. He wondered if Chris would be willing... Only one way to find out.

"I think that can be arranged, Tiger. Maybe after, then you can paint a picture of your own for me?" Shawn let his eyes drift from Chris over to Kevin briefly before looking back at Chris. Shawn hoped that Chris would get his message without him actually having to spell it out. Surprises were always so much more fun.

Chris blinked and smiled shyly at Shawn. He let his own eyes slip in Kevin's direction without turning his head so that he wouldn't give it away. Shuddering slightly he nodded quickly at Shawn in acceptance. Just the thought of being with Kevin was almost enough to do him in, that is if he made it through watching Shawn and Scott together without reaching that point first.

Scott and Kevin exchanged a puzzled look. Kevin shrugged, having no clue what the couch, bunnies, painting, and the floor had to do with anything, but he was sure they'd find out before too long. Scott thought he had it kind of figured out, but he wasn't about to open his mouth. Shawn released his hold on Scott and ran his hands up the length of Scott's arms teasingly as he shifted position so that he was straddling Scott's hips. Shawn's hands braced on his shoulders and Scott smiled as Shawn leaned down to flicker his tongue gently over his lips. Chris wanted to see him with Shawn. Scott loved being watched just as much as Shawn did so there was no way he was going to object, not that he would have objected to being with Shawn even if a marching band was standing there playing beside them.

"Wait!" Shawn and Scott both stiffened when Chris spoke. Shawn closed his eyes briefly, wondering if Chris had changed his mind. It was a little much to deal with so early in their relationship, so he couldn't honestly blame him if he had changed his mind. He opened his eyes and looked to Chris who was now kneeling beside him with a smile. "I just wanted to..." Chris started as he leaned closer and pulled the tie from Shawn's hair, letting it flow down over his shoulders. Chris kissed him teasingly and then pulled away.

Winking at Shawn he stood and skirted the fragments of the coffee table, going to sit on the far couch as close to Kevin as he could be without actually sitting on top of him. Chris smiled shyly at the big man before leaning against his side and returning his attention to Shawn and Scott. Kevin smiled silently before wrapping his arm around Chris and tucking him firmly up against his side.

Shawn looked down at Scott as the larger man lifted his hands and threaded them through Shawn's hair. With a gentle tug, Scott pulled Shawn down and briefly took possession of his mouth as he thrust his hips upwards. The length of Scott's hard shaft brushing against the firm curve of Shawn's ass startled a moan from both of them, the sound muted to a whisper between their fused mouths.

With another gentle tug on Shawn's hair, Scott broke the kiss. Tilting Shawn's head back a bit further, the dark-haired man let his mouth slip down the side of Shawn's neck before settling it over a point at the base of his throat. Shawn gasped his name quietly as Scott nipped gently at the tanned skin before soothing it with his tongue. Pulling his hands from their tight grip on Scott's shoulders, Shawn slid them down to the center of Scott's cotton-clad chest using it to steady himself as he ground his ass against the solid length of Scott's cock.

Scott growled again as Shawn pushed down against him. Loosening his hands from the silky blond strands, Scott slid them down to the top button of Shawn's shirt, working quickly to remove the obstacle to more of Shawn's sun-kissed skin. Shawn sat up straight, giving Scott better access to the lower buttons and at the same time, forcing himself more firmly against Scott's swollen member. Fumbling the last button open, Scott ran his hands firmly from Shawn's abdomen up to his shoulders before pushing the freed material down his arms. As the material cleared Shawn's fingertips, Scott returned his hands to Shawn's chest, gently pinching his darkened nipples between his fingers.

Using one hand to push himself into a sitting position, Scott leaned forward and used his tongue to tease over the small nubs. As Scott gently scraped his teeth over one of the small buds, Shawn tossed his head back with a moan, his hair falling in a golden cascade around his shoulders. Threading his hands through Scott's hair, Shawn pushed Scott's face more firmly into his chest, seeking more than the gentle teasing touches that Scott was allowing him. Scott complied, sucking firmly on one nipple while lashing it with his tongue, before moving on to treat the mate to the same torture.

Shawn's harsh breathing and a whispered, "Please, Scott," prompted a heated growl from the dark-haired man. Wrapping his arms firmly around Shawn's waist, Scott rolled them to the side, placing Shawn flat on his back on the carpet and covering him with his own body. Shawn tugged harshly on the T-shirt covering Scott's broad chest. It had been way too long since he'd allowed himself to indulge in Scott's charms and he was anxious to relearn the territory at his fingertips.

With a chuckle, Scott leaned back and helped pull the smooth cotton over his head. "Impatient much, Shawn?" He asked as he tried to return to his previous position. Shawn's fingers curling through the soft hair covering his chest stopped him.

"Damn right, Scotty." Shawn smiled as he stroked softly around Scott's chest with his hands. "It's been too long since you and I have played." Scott smiled indulgently down at Shawn as he spent a moment playing with the curly strands, until Shawn tugged gently on the hair surrounding his nipples.

"Rotten little tease," Scott growled affectionately as he pulled away from Shawn's searching fingers.

"Hey! I resent that. I'm not rotten. I'm sweet as...as apple pie." Shawn said indignantly as Scott slithered further down his body. When he heard almost simultaneously snorts of laughter from the couch, Shawn turned and scowled at Kevin and Chris who both gave him unapologetic grins. Shawn noticed how close the two were sitting to each other, secretly pleased that they were finally getting along. He stuck his tongue out in their general direction.

"I think you're supposed to be busy right now Shawn, but get back to me later," Kevin said unrepentantly. Chris smiled over their banter, while allowing his hand to "accidentally" fall on Kevin's thigh. Kevin turned and growled at Chris who was now swirling his fingertips over his leg in an ambiguous pattern.

Shawn smiled and returned his attention to Scott and his previous objections. "I'm not a tease either, cause you know eventually I'll follow through. Even if it does take me awhile to get...Scott!"

Scott had no doubt that the little foray with his tongue through Shawn's navel would get his attention. Sometimes Shawn was too easily distracted and while most of the time Scott found it humorous and cute, right now he wanted Shawn's attention on the two of them. Letting his tongue wander aimlessly over his friend's abdomen, Scott shifted so that he was kneeling beside him. Sliding one hand up Shawn's outer thigh and bypassing his groin, Scott finally reached for the snap on Shawn's jeans. As he unfastened the snap and easily parted the zipper, he nipped gently at Shawn's stomach, enjoying the way Shawn was squirming beneath him.

"Who's the tease now?" Shawn gritted out harshly. "Scott, if you don't actually do something soon, I'm going to..."

"You're going to what, Shawn?" Scott grinned before drawing his tongue over Shawn's hip, which he'd just exposed.

"I'm going to do this..." Shawn growled. He reached down and pushed Scott's head back as he sat up. He quickly tugged off his boots and tossed them to some point across the room, before wiggling out of his jeans. In seconds, he sat completely exposed to the man beside him. "Then I'm going to do this..." Shawn grinned wickedly just seconds before launching himself at Scott, the momentum propelling Scott to his back with Shawn on top of him. "And then..." Shawn quickly went to work on Scott's boots and jeans, stripping him down to nothing within a minute.

Scott looked at Shawn who had just plastered himself on top of him and laughed. "I guess you are impatient, Chico."

"Scott!" Shawn whined quietly as he reached down to wrap his hand around Scott's hard shaft. Shawn leaned in and nuzzled against Scott's ear, speaking quietly. "Need you now Scott, please?"

Scott's breath hissed between his teeth as Shawn gave him a few gentle strokes with his hand. "Okay Shawn. No more teasing," Scott growled as he rolled them over so he was once again on top of Shawn, covering Shawn's mouth with his own and exploring passionately. Once again he began the journey down Shawn's chest, stopping to lick or nip a spot of interest, but at a much more rapid pace than he had during his first exploration. As he hovered with his mouth over Shawn's hard leaking cock, he looked up at Shawn suddenly remembering that they were lacking something. "Shawn, do you have..."

Shawn cut him off quickly. "Top right hand desk drawer," he said breathlessly.

Scott sent a fleeting pleading glance over his shoulder at the two ensconced on the couch before he turned his attention back to Shawn. He vaguely heard someone moving across the room as he leaned in and licked the leaking head of Shawn's cock, drawing a moan from the man beneath him. Salty, yet strangely sweet at the same time, Shawn's unique flavor burst over his tongue as he teased it across the tiny slit.

Chris practically jumped from the couch to fulfill Scott's unspoken request. Crossing the room quickly to the desk, he opened the drawer Shawn had indicated and grabbed the bottle of lubricant laying inside. Approaching the two on the floor, he knelt beside them as he popped open the top. Scott held his hand out as he took Shawn in his mouth and Chris quickly drizzled the lube onto his fingers. Scott's hum of appreciation was muffled but Chris understood nonetheless and he shivered at the resulting whine the vibrations drew from Shawn. Scott's attention was almost fully on Shawn as he lowered his hand to tease his fingers over Shawn's entrance, though he was still aware of Chris' presence beside them. Shawn spread his legs wider in answer to the gentle touch and Scott closed his eyes for a moment as he bobbed his head over Shawn's length, completely missing the mischievous grin that Chris directed at him.

Just as he drew a moan of pleasure from Shawn by pushing one finger inside him, Scott found himself moaning as well as a slick warm hand wrapped around his shaft, stroking him slowly and covering him with lube. Scott's eyes shot open and he pulled his mouth momentarily from his pleasant task to watch Chris' hand move over his cock, his hips thrusting restlessly into the gentle grip. "Fuck that feels good, Chris."

Shawn smiled and reached out with his hand to smack Chris in the ass. "Hey. I want him to come in me, not in your hand, Tiger."

Chris smiled shyly and blushed as he pulled his hand from around Scott's now-slick cock. "My bad. You can spank me later." He turned and scampered back over to the couch settling into his previous spot beside Kevin.

Scott and Shawn both groaned over the resulting mental images from what Chris had said. Kevin growled quietly under his breath, barely restraining himself from snatching the pretty blond over onto his lap to do just that. Instead he found himself wrapping an arm around Chris and running his fingers through the back of Chris' hair teasingly. Kevin was finding himself with a very large problem, no pun intended, due to the display Shawn and Scott were putting on and he wasn't entirely sure that Chris was ready for a similar encounter with him. He was determined not to push Chris to do anything, but that in no way lessened the desire he had to have Chris' heat wrapped around him. Kevin knew that if nothing else, Scott would see to him once he finished with Shawn, but that didn't stop him from hoping that he might get just a bit of playtime with Chris.

Scott smiled at Shawn as he quickly went about slipping a second finger inside him. Shawn thrust his hips back trying to get Scott to brush against his spot, but Scott used his free hand to put a halt to any movement on Shawn's part. Bending his head, he pulled Shawn's length between his lips as he finally brushed his fingers over Shawn's prostate.

With all the previous teasing, it took little time for Scott to have Shawn writhing beneath him, Shawn's fingers trying to find purchase in the carpet. His neck arched, with his head tossing restlessly back and forth, Shawn bit down on his lip as his pleasure flashed hot along his nerves. "Damn Scott...so close." He tried again to thrust his hips into the welcoming wet heat of Scott's mouth, but Scott still had him pinned down to prevent it. Shawn almost wailed in disappointment as Scott pulled his mouth and fingers from him simultaneously.

"Oh no, Shawn. You don't get off that easily," Scott laughed over his witty remark as sat up between Shawn's trembling thighs. "You ready for me, Chico?"

Shawn took a moment to calm his harsh breathing before snarling at his lover. "For fuck's sake Scott...just fuck me already."

"All you had to do was ask," Scott said cheekily as he reached up and grabbed Shawn's hands. Lacing their fingers and raising them above Shawn's head, Scott pinned his hands to the floor as he positioned himself. Slowly pushing forward past the ring of muscle, Scott steadily pressed himself inside Shawn's warm sheathe.

Shawn, due to his impatient nature and the need to have Scott inside him, thrust his hips upward frenziedly, forcing Scott deeper inside of him. Scott groaned quietly as Shawn's heat surrounded him and Shawn panted harshly through the slight burning sensation in his ass. Scott gave him a moment to adjust despite Shawn's seeming urgency for him to get started.

"You good?" At Shawn's frantic nodding, Scott withdrew almost fully before slowly sliding back into the tight channel. "Damn. So tight, Shawn."

Shawn laughed almost breathlessly. "Been awhile," he said when his laughter had died down. "Sound like a...porn movie." Shawn gasped as Scott smirked and delivered a quick thrust before settling back into his slow, easy rhythm.

"Stop talking." Scott smiled and aimed for Shawn's prostate, drawing another startled groan from Shawn. "Trying to fuck you."

"Well then..." Shawn bit down on his lip and arched his back as Scott delivered another sharp thrust, "fuck me, Bad Guy."

Scott growled and covered Shawn's mouth with his own in a bruising kiss. Besides the obvious beneficial pleasure in the act, it was also one thing guaranteed to shut Shawn up, at least temporarily. Tightening his grip on Shawn's hands, Scott increased the pace and strength of his thrusts. Shawn's whimper, though muffled by Scott's mouth, was still clearly audible to the others in the room as Scott pounded repeatedly against his sweet spot.

Kevin grunted as Chris' nails dug into his thigh through his pants. At least he wasn't the only one getting worked up over this. Kevin reached over and used his thumb to gently pry Chris' lip from between his teeth. He leaned in close to Chris' ear and whispered to him, "Wouldn't want you to hurt yourself, Tiger." Kevin grinned as he felt a shudder rip through Chris' body, knowing it was due to his nearness.

Chris sighed quietly as Kevin sat back against the couch. Between the big man's nearness and what he was witnessing, he was strung tight as a bowstring. Watching Shawn and Scott together was just...enthralling. The contrast of light and dark...the way Scott's body almost completely covered Shawn's smaller frame. Seeing Scott's cock being buried inside Shawn's body as he thrust repeatedly. There wasn't a shred of the jealousy he'd thought might crop up, just a pure appreciation of the beauty before him. As long as he knew that Shawn loved him and wanted to be with him, then he could bypass the whole bothersome jealousy issue and just enjoy the adventure of being Shawn's.

Shawn could feel his body tensing as he neared his boiling point. Scott was driving him insane with the direct hits against his prostate and all he could focus on was the fire building in his groin. Pulling his mouth harshly away from Scott's, he panted for the air that had been denied to him as he felt the rush of his orgasm crashing in. "Fuck! Scotty," he shouted as he exploded, his release shooting across both his and Scott's stomachs.

As Shawn tightened around him, Scott growled. He thrust a few more times before he arched his back, his head dropping back to his shoulders as he poured his own essence into Shawn's body with a nonsensical shout. Scott rolled them to the side as he collapsed, his breathing as labored as Shawn's. After a moment he noticed Shawn peeking over his shoulder in the direction of the couch. He withdrew from Shawn, dragging a last moan from the blond, and rolled onto his back before looking in the same direction.

Kevin and Chris were both smiling at them, but Scott could sense the underlying tension coming from Kevin. He wondered if he would have to take care of it, or if Kevin was going to receive a little tension relief from the man sitting next to him. From the discussion earlier, Scott assumed that the latter might just be the case.

Shawn smiled back at Kevin and Chris. He could tell his Tiger was somewhat nervous about what was to come. He'd have to take a moment to reassure him, once he had his brain back in order that is. Scott had certainly scrambled it just a bit. Taking a few more deep breaths, Shawn wiggled a finger in Chris' direction and waited for his lover to approach him.

Chris jumped from the couch and walked over before kneeling next to Shawn. Leaning down, he covered Shawn's mouth in a gentle kiss. "You two looked really hot together," Chris said in almost a whisper to both Shawn and Scott.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it, Chris," Scott said with a huge grin. Raising a hand to the side of Chris' face, Scott stroked his fingers briefly over the smooth skin of his cheek. "Maybe next time we'll have to let Shawn do the watching."

Chris blushed and nodded his head, excited at the prospect of being with Scott sometime in the future, but for now...

"You still want to do that painting for me, Tiger?" Shawn asked in a conspiratorial whisper.

Chris smiled at Shawn, his blush increasing. He knew that Shawn wouldn't mind if he decided against it, but he realized he had a fascination with Kevin and he'd regret not taking the opportunity to explore it. "Yes," was his simple reply. There really wasn't any need to elaborate and blow the surprise.

"Good," Shawn said with a smile. "Two things... First, if you change your mind at any point, it's okay to say so. Second," Shawn said with wink before leaning into Chris and whispering something in his ear.

Shawn saw the startled look on Chris' face and couldn't help but laugh. When Chris raised a brow, Shawn nodded emphatically and laughed again. Chris stood slowly and walked back over to the couch, turning Shawn's words over in his head. "Go for his hair."
