JRIZAL C02

 I am blessed to handle a subject this summer, I was tasked to teach a JRIZAL030. Ever since I am always fascinated to explore the real truth about the life, works and teachings of Dr. Jose Rizal. During my undergrad years, it took me sleepless nights really to understand and uncover all the dark and gray areas which was then questions in my thoughts as to the reason of Rizal's being our national hero. I despise how society viewed him, I could never see his importance, now after years of enlightenment, I am one of his living advocates.

I am really lucky to handle JRIZAL C02, the class is one of a kind. It was only through their batch that I totally understand what is interactive learning is all about. Everyday, the class is always enthusiastic to participate and inquire as to the details and substance of Rizal's inputs. Although not everybody really enjoyed the process, but some of my ancient methodology really motivate the majority dearly to study.

In professing the subject, I used the Socratic method of teaching, it works pretty effective to those classified as boring subjects. With the competent minds of my students, I am guarding my self of at least six (6) books everyday to equip my self if granting any of the class member shall raise a question. We had undergone series of lectures and fun filled activities to suppress the wrong stereotype that studying the works, life and teachings of Rizal is boring.

The summer class may be over, but the learning process does not end there, I can still for see all the learning I had gained from the 43 books that I am facing everyday in the four corners of the classroom. They had imparted unto me learning's which could not be found in the bounds of the books nor in the references of the library, but only through the socialization of the teacher and the learner.
