| CDs (4) Desire
For Desire
Dylan worked with lyricist Jacques Levy. From Hurricane
to Sara, Desire
is an unique narrative journey. It is distinguished by the prominence of Scarlet Rivera's melancholy violin and Emmylou
Harris's bare harmonies.
World
Gone Wrong
"...most of these ten tracks vibrate with a genuinely spooked vibe which
has strong, organic links to Dylan's hobo youth....Dylan proves he can still turn in the
best Dylan impersonation around...." (New Musical Express)
Hard
Rain
The emotion that Dylan conveys in One Too Many Mornings
and You're A Big Girl Now is riveting. The other tracks also
have merit, including Maggie's Farm in its first of three
consecutive appearances on a Dylan live album.
Down
In The Groove
A good portion of Down in the Groove doesn't sound like Dylan because it's not. Only
four songs were written or co-written by Dylan. Nevertheless, this album kicks! Silvio and Ugliest Girl are a welcome
dose of humor in this dark period of recording for Dylan.
