A Haunting Past
The darkness reigns the skies
And bereft the sky of all stars
Deprived from the sun's light
Cautiously fading in the night
The night breeze makes haste
Across the valleys and plains
Freezing the pouring rain
And echoing in a high range
My body boldly shivers
As i trail the blurry path of
The dimming memory lane
That i blindly travel
Walking past the moments
Growing younger as i hide
My sorrows' endless haunts
And pains that don't subside
All were kept in the mirror
Reflecting my flowing grief
So i broke the glass of truth
But then i was not freed
I trail the broken pieces
With my reflection on each
Dazzling crystals' mazes'
Confusing looks at me
Darting from the horror
I burst into denying pace
Until i heard a deafning roar
From a dark, distant place
I tremble in the eerie echoes
Of my own sad, mourning voice
Crawling on the dirty mud
From my own tears and blood
I took a step with courage
And another step with fear
For i will be its master
And never i will ever sheer
I need not to be deaf nor blind
I need is to understand that
Everything was a just a mirror
Reflecting a dejected past
It was a bridge to my journey
With tornful colored steps
Hueing in all possible colors
Including black and white
