Hai no Hana

Such a narrow path to follow

To seize the one moment of truth

To hold you in my affectionate arms

To utter these heartfelt, immortal words

Bliss trails the heavens, blazing streaks

Red and orange, I see the smile

On your face that lingers among the stars

I see the whole of you that warms my heart

But… will the paths to part away

Always curve back towards the day,

The day my spirit gazes upon you?

Keeping distance I simply cannot do?

Why I ask, mystical flower

That I be bound by cruel chains

To mossy dungeon walls and cobblestone,

Cobblestone floors feeding upon my blood?

Seek down through your distant window

And watch as blooded flowers bloom

Aurora lights trace, feel the anguished curves

Of my palm, I urge the need to endure

Crumbling down as I lose my sight,

My fantasy of you and I

Waltzing through the light of silver midnight

Watching a sky on an oasis’ cry

Parallel worlds, what have I done

To even dream of you and I

And all the enchantment to deserve you?

Hiding as your servant, I dare to dream

A content yet helpless servant

But he burns perilous desires

Long feared I have the day of unmasking

If rejection vanquishes all my hopes

Mystical flower, I envy

Your scouring untouched purity

Your humble reflection against the stream

Of stones and pebbles, Of life and sorrow

Your smiles, twirling like ice and snow

My heart, beating like spring and fall

Escaping the cloak of uncertainty

I search for my verdict to end it all

Unshackled from the cruel chains

Unbound from the blood-soaking floors

Seeing through, Aurora lights, running back,

Mystical flower, endured have I now

Heart and spirit, I seek you now

Constellations, pointing to you

My verdict has come, my verdict has come

Eternity of warmth, I give to you

Hopes of spring, the joy of summer

The reality of Autumn

But why is it an eternal winter?

Of shattered hearts and flowers of ashes?

Aurora lights, shackled I’m still

Bounded to cobblestone floors still

Feeding no longer on my blood of hope

Yet refusing to bloom tear-shed flowers

Mystical flower, where are you?

Struck of an unfair consequence

Lost I am now in this wicked dungeon

Mystical flower, Mystical Flower

Why turn into a flower of ashes?
